Peach Blossom Divine Medical God -
Chapter 1043 - 1039: No Ambition
Chapter 1043: Chapter 1039: No Ambition
"Colleague? Mr. Chen is also involved in the medical field?" Huang Yiyi looked at Chen Yang after hearing this.
Chen Yang had been quietly listening on the side without interjecting.
The sudden shift in topic towards him caught him off guard.
"Yes! Uncle Chen Yang is a doctor! His medical skills are superb, and in my eyes, he’s the world’s number one Divine Doctor!" Before he could respond himself, Xia Qianqian answered for him with eyes full of admiration.
Huang Yiyi saw Xia Qianqian’s eyes brimming with admiration and covered her mouth with a light chuckle: "If you hadn’t mentioned it, I really wouldn’t have guessed that Mr. Chen’s medical skills are so exceptional."
"That’s right, the first time I saw Uncle Chen Yang, I didn’t think he was a doctor either."
Xia Qianqian nodded in agreement.
The group chatted together, and unconsciously an hour had already passed.
At this time, the rain outside still hadn’t stopped!
The others had already grown very impatient beforehand.
Seeing so much time had passed with no sign of it stopping, they gathered once again to demand answers.
"Guide, what’s really going on? Will the rain ever stop? If not, can you call the park to bring us some umbrellas?"
"Yeah, your park can’t just leave us hanging. We’ve been waiting here in the mountains for so long; we can’t wait until it gets dark."
...
The crowd chattered, demanding Huang Yiyi for a clear answer, either an accurate time for the rain to stop or have the park deliver umbrellas.
But it’s clear that Huang Yiyi was unable to do either.
She didn’t know how long the rain would last, and about the umbrellas, her phone had no signal.
Not only was there no signal on her phone, none of the phones here had any signal, so she couldn’t get in touch with the park at all.
If she could contact outside, she would’ve done so long ago; why would it be delayed until now?
Faced with these two options, she couldn’t accomplish either, so she could only continue trying to calm them with gentle words.
She wanted them to stay calm for now; after all, it was still early. If it was really about to get dark and the rain hadn’t stopped, she would then figure something out.
But this time, her gentle attempts to calm them had no effect.
The people were still very impatient, remaining around without leaving.
Some even began to ridicule her.
They said things like unscrupulous park, doing anything for money.
Not checking the weather before opening, which led to them being trapped in this cave.
No matter how good Huang Yiyi’s mindset was, facing such accusations and ridicule, she couldn’t take it.
She felt very wronged in her heart.
"How can you talk like that? Our park must’ve checked the weather before operating, but unforeseen circumstances happen. How can these things be completely predicted?" Huang Yiyi still wanted to argue and defend herself.
But the impatient crowd simply ignored her, still standing by generating various mocks.
Huang Yiyi was so wronged she was about to cry.
Seeing this, Xia Qianqian naturally wouldn’t sit idly by, immediately standing up with Yang Caiyun to speak for Huang Yiyi.
"Don’t go overboard. Guide Huang is just a guide. She didn’t know such a situation would happen. Why are you being so aggressive?"
"Exactly, Sister Huang has done such a good job along the way, and now you’re blaming her. If it weren’t for her finding this cave, you would’ve all been soaked!"
The mother and daughter loudly defended Huang Yiyi.
Their voices caused many who were complaining to slightly quiet down.
Most were just venting; there wasn’t really a lot of malice.
Didn’t they also know that the weather is unpredictable?
So, many people shut their mouths, not wanting to continue speaking.
But the guy who initially approached Huang Yiyi still didn’t relent.
"Heh, why speak so highly? Isn’t she just part of the park? Now that we’re stuck in this cave, she has to take responsibility!" The man sneered, acting as if being trapped here was entirely Huang Yiyi’s fault.
"What nonsense! Why is it all Guide Huang’s responsibility?"
Yang Caiyun immediately looked at the man, refuting him.
The man still held disdain on his face: "If she didn’t want to make money, would we take such a risk to come here? Isn’t this her responsibility?"
The previously muted crowd’s emotions rose again upon hearing him.
They started whispering among themselves, blaming Huang Yiyi for wanting to make money, causing them to be trapped in the cave.
Even with help from Yang Caiyun and Xia Qianqian, there were over twenty mouths speaking against her; how could they argue against them all?
Huang Yiyi felt terribly wronged, her eyes immediately welled up.
Chen Yang hadn’t wanted to interfere, but witnessing this, he couldn’t stand by.
A group of men blaming a woman when things go wrong, is there anything more infuriating?
Let alone that this woman is a friend of Yang Caiyun and Xia Qianqian.
"Are you all cowards? Blaming the guide when things go wrong, can you not be more constructive?" As Chen Yang stood up, he coldly looked at the man.
The man’s face of disdain quickly turned to anger upon hearing Chen Yang.
"Who are you calling a coward? Try saying that again, kid!" The man, roughly the same height as Chen Yang, with a somewhat hefty build, approached with an aggressive attitude, seemingly ready to fight.
But compared to Chen Yang, his size was of no consequence.
"Blaming women when things go wrong, if that’s not cowardly and weak, what is it?" Chen Yang unhesitatingly retorted.
The man, frustrated from his failed attempt to chat up Huang Yiyi, eagerly led the taunts against her.
And now, with Chen Yang calling him a coward, his anger flared further.
"You’re asking for it! Let’s see who’s cowardly today!" The man roared, clenching his fist and swinging it at Chen Yang.
Seeing this, Chen Yang calmly intercepted the man’s punch with his hand!
The man was utterly shocked!
Though their builds were similar, his strength should be comparable.
How could his punch be so easily caught?
The man, alarmed, realized something was off.
But before he could react, Chen Yang swiftly kicked his stomach.
Though Chen Yang applied minimal force in the kick.
The man didn’t spit blood nor was he sent flying.
Yet the sharp pain distorted his face.
He curled up on the ground, clutching his stomach, unable to make a sound.
"Stop fighting..."
Chen Yang and the man’s scuffle happened in an instant, and though Huang Yiyi wanted to intervene, it was already too late.
"It’s fine; sometimes people like him need a little lesson." Chen Yang reassured Huang Yiyi, then looked at the surrounding people and calmly said, "We all understand the situation. There’s no point in blaming each other under such heavy rain."
"Instead of wasting energy like this, why not sit down and rest well, so we’re prepared to leave when the rain stops."
Chen Yang’s tone was calm, but it carried a chill that affected those who heard him.
