Chen Yang laughed heartily, choosing not to argue further and comforted her again.

After crying and being comforted, Dai Annie felt better.

"Chen Yang, I’m going now. Next time we meet, it might be in the provincial city," Dai Annie suddenly said.

The mention of the provincial city startled Chen Yang for a moment.

He then recalled that Dai Annie’s family was the richest in a county and had connections with the Gu Family, so attending the Gu Family patriarch’s birthday party was normal.

Behind the counter, a woman in her forties was cracking melon seeds and watching TV.
