Dai Annie snorted softly, wrapped her arm around Wang Qingyue’s, and said, "Of course, I’m going to get my car. Yesterday, it’s still parked in front of the Jiang’an restaurant, or should I just leave it?"

Chen Yang was taken aback for a moment, then remembered that this was indeed the case; her car was still parked in front of the restaurant from the hurried return the day before.

The car stopped, and Wang Qingyue opened the door and got out.

"Annie, Chen Yang, I’ll go in first. Be careful on your way back," Wang Qingyue waved at them from outside the car.

"Mm-hmm, we’ll be careful, Sister Qingyue, don’t worry!" Dai Annie nodded affirmatively and waved at Wang Qingyue.

Chen Yang nodded in acknowledgment, then turned the car around and headed to the Jiang’an restaurant.

At the entrance of the restaurant, Dai Annie got out of the car right away and went into the parking garage.

Chen Yang parked outside the garage and waited in the car for Dai Annie to drive out.

It took about five or six minutes before he saw Dai Annie driving out of the garage.

However, she was blocked at the parking gate.

Inside the car, upon hearing this, Dai Annie got instantly angry, pushed open the door, and got out.

"What do you mean by that, making it sound like I can’t afford it or am reluctant to pay? If this were a legitimate parking fee, I’d pay without another word, but this is an unreasonable charge, akin to daylight robbery. Why should I pay you?" Dai Annie retorted angrily.

Seeing her anger, the security guards’ faces darkened, ready to argue with her.

Chen Yang hurried up to mediate and separated them.

Then he quickly asked Dai Annie what was happening.

Dai Annie, still fuming, said, "These two said my car stayed overnight in the garage, so in addition to the 180 yuan parking fee, they’re charging me an extra 300 yuan management fee. They claim they worked hard looking after my car, so I must pay, or they won’t let the car out!"

"Hey, are you this lady’s boyfriend? Save your arguments; I’m telling you now, unless you pay these 300 yuan today, my brother and I won’t let you leave!" the skinny guard said, his chin arrogantly jutting toward Chen Yang, completely brash.

Hearing such words and seeing their attitudes, Chen Yang couldn’t help feeling a bit angry.

Were they going to bully him?

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll report you?" Finding it pointless to reason with them, Chen Yang threatened to make a complaint.

After all, in general, security guards are afraid of customer complaints.

Yet these two guards were not only unafraid but even laughed aloud, their expressions full of disdain after hearing Chen Yang threaten to complain.
