Hearing about elixirs, Dai Annie didn’t probe further, nodded, and continued eating her noodles.

Once they finished the meal, Chen Yang planned to take Dai Annie for a walk outside, get some fresh air and go for a stroll.

But before they could leave, Dai Annie’s phone rang.

It was a call from Dai Jinsong.

Excitedly, Dai Annie answered immediately.

Seeing it was Dai Jinsong calling, Chen Yang thought it must be about checking up on Dai Annie so he stepped aside.

Their father-daughter conversation wasn’t his place to hear.

So he turned to the backyard, checking on the herbs newly planted yesterday.

Not sure if it was the soil or the treasure ginseng, the herbs planted in the garden had never withered.

Most not only survived, but thrived, even better than in the wild.

"Chen Yang, let’s go! For a walk!"

Her expression was visibly upset, with no attempt to hide it.

"Alright." Despite knowing she was upset, Chen Yang didn’t choose to ask directly, instead nodding and leaving with her, as planned, for a walk in the village.

The morning village was not only fresh in air but also had a perfectly mild temperature, neither cold nor hot, a gentle breeze kissing their faces, feeling very nice.

After walking a lap, once Dai Annie’s mood improved, he began asking about the phone call.

"Annie, what did your dad say to make you so angry?" Chen Yang turned to ask her.

Walking side by side around the fields surrounding the village, hearing his question, her expression again fell, becoming unhappy.

Taking a few seconds, she finally replied to Chen Yang.

"Dad talked about introducing me to a boyfriend! Wants me to meet him! I refused, but he insists." Dai Annie said indignantly.
