Chapter 522: Chapter 26: Duke Chen’s Secret Realm, Many Help Those Who Attain the Tao_3

Dragon Roar!

The young man’s body paused slightly.

The deep dragon’s roar ascended, far surpassing the aura of both Li Guanyi and Yue Qianfeng’s Red Dragon Dharma Form. Then, the clouds scattered, and an immensely huge, equally ancient Divine Dragon peacefully moved through the skies, eclipsing even the sun behind the clouds.

This was an aged dragon, representing the strongest stage of a Divine Dragon.

It watched Li Guanyi calmly, even overshadowing the brilliance of the great sun itself, with the Qilin only communicating with Li Guanyi silently in his heart. The ancient Divine Dragon spoke, its voice vast and powerful, "Tiger Roars to the Heavens, it has been eight hundred years. Has that ferocious weapon been taken up by someone again?"

"Who are you... Has the Red Emperor’s era already passed?"

It was the Divine Dragon from ancient times that had signed a pact with the Red Emperor!

Its venerable name—

[Candle]!

Revealing its true form, the Qilin carrying Li Guanyi and Shaking Light was merely the size of this Divine Dragon’s eyes. It slowly ascended, and gazing upon this mythic creature, a tremor of awe was uncontrollable in Li Guanyi’s heart, such was its existence.

The Red Emperor had such an ancient mythical beast years ago, yet he still took so long to conquer the world.

How powerful was the overlord from eight hundred years ago.

The pinnacle of Martial Arts, could it really contend with such mythical beings?

The top general of those years, Chen Baxian, was shocked away just by seeing the Ancient Red Dragon.

Perhaps only the legends of Martial Arts could touch upon such an existence.

Li Guanyi thought for a moment, dispersed the Divine Weapon in his hand, then joyfully clasped his fists in salutation, breezily saying, "Junior Li Guanyi, I am honored to meet the Ancient Red Dragon, Elder [Candle]!"

The Red Dragon watched Li Guanyi, its gaze seeming to pierce through his body and saw the Chi Xiao Sword Soul within him, and slowly said, "I detect the presence of an old friend within your body..."

"I have been here for eight hundred years, unaware of the changing seasons in the human realm."

Sitting on the back of the Qilin, Li Guanyi told the enormous Divine Dragon all the significant historical events that had happened over the last few hundred years. The Red Dragon listened in silence but then suddenly burst into laughter. Its laughter was powerful and ancient, like thunder, yet it carried a tint of nostalgia, sighing and saying,

"You guessed right again..."

Li Guanyi was puzzled.

The Ancient Red Dragon slowly moved and said, "My good friend, before he passed away, told me to take a look at the human realm after hundreds of years, saying that even after his departure, the world of men would still be full of turmoil, brimming with heroes rising together."

"Yet even after eight hundred years, countless heroes have emerged."

"The world still speaks of his name."

"The name of the Red Emperor will not fade with time. He said, even though he was a fleeting spirit, the merit he established would transcend everything, and people would not forget him."

The Red Dragon reminisced about its old friend, its aged eyes fixated on Li Guanyi, its voice robust as it said:

"The changes in the world have nothing to do with me, but since you have come here, wielding the Chi Xiao Sword as if you were representing him, when your realm rises another level, come here again, and I will enhance your Red Dragon Dharma Form once more, to fulfill the pact I made with him back then."

The Red Dragon then noticed the Qilin.

The aged Divine Beast seemed somewhat disappointed, sighing, "Still a naive child."

"When you grow up, you may come to the deepest place."

"The previous generation Fire Qilin has left something for you."

The Qilin, upon hearing this, grew anxious, asking repeatedly, "What is it?"

But the Red Dragon no longer answered, just let out a long chant, ascending into the sky. Its dragon scales tore through the sea of clouds, and even its mere act of ascending caused tumultuous waves in the surrounding air, like a hurricane, almost causing the Qilin to lose control of its flight, nearly being flung away.

After finally stabilizing himself, between heaven and earth, there was only the vast expanse of clouds, but the Ancient Red Dragon was no longer to be seen. Whether it was Li Guanyi, Shaking Light, or the Fire Qilin, they all felt as if they were waking from a dream.

"Ancient Red Dragon, secret realm..."

Without a doubt, this secret realm still held greater secrets, but for the moment, Li Guanyi could not concern himself with these. He, along with the Qilin and Shaking Light, taking all they had acquired, returned to Chongshan and then set about making medicine to enhance the prowess of the martial artists.

Unexpectedly, several guests arrived.

When Li Guanyi arrived, he saw Pang Shuiyun casually chatting with a handsome middle-aged man. This man was dressed in luxurious clothes, his lips adorned with a beard, his demeanor distinguished, with a Dharma Form of a fox behind him.

"Hahaha, Mr. Li, it’s been a long time!"

The man turned around, smiled, and saluted. It was Changsun Wuchou from Duke Ying’s Mansion!

Li Guanyi was both surprised and delighted, "Changsun, what brings you here?"

Changsun Wuchou advanced a step with crossed arms, smiling, "Changsun Wuchou, I am here by order to lead thirty of the merchant caravan’s Rangers to assist Mr. Li."

Behind him stood thirty elite men, each with cultivation at the Second Layer Heaven, their brows fierce, clad in Light Armor, each of them equipped with horses skilled at horse riding and shooting, carrying three quivers of arrows and light sabers. They all gave a gentle salute, their demeanor calm, not the arrogant sort.

These were the Rangers that Changsun Wuchou had led through the complexities of the Western Regions, where they managed to fight their way in and out. Each one was an elite worth lamenting over if lost; although not quite on par with the top three Cavalry corps, they definitely matched the first-rate cavalry of the nations.

They were also extremely adept at scouting and flanking tactics.

Changsun Wuchou then took another step forward, presenting a letter. He offered it gently, saying,
