Chapter 493: Chapter 19: Mission Accomplished!_2
"Ah, no, a guy like you probably doesn’t have a mother or father."
"Sorry about that."
Tu Shengyuan cursed a string of expletives, causing the face of the Great Elder of the Yin Yang Reincarnation Sect to turn unsightly. If he had been told his martial arts were weak or his character was despicable, the Great Elder would have just shrugged it off with a laugh. But these words, like a sharp knife, carved through his heart.
After Tu Shengyuan had finished his rant, he said,
"Old Chen, let’s do it together!"
"After this fight, I’m going to give you a new nickname!"
Chen Chengbi pressed his left hand on the Flood Dragon Dharma Form, leaped into the air, and kicked out with the Vortex Thunderbolt, stepping on the Sky-climbing Divine Eagle. Although he was bloodied, he laughed aloud,
"Hahaha, great!"
The old man raised his left hand and pulled with his right.
"Traveling Six Void!"
With that, the two Grandmasters’ Jin Qi was controlled by him using the Emperor’s Martial Arts of Chen Country. With a turn of his Inner Qi, he counterattacked. The Sect Master of the Sky-reaching Sect and the Angry Scale Dragon King both took the hit, their faces turned unsightly, and finally, their real anger arose. They drew their mystical weapons and joined forces to attack.
Tu Shengyuan cursed and also lifted his bamboo slip.
With just a sweep, the bamboo slip unfurled to a length of ten feet, acting like a soft whip yet wrapped with mystical iron, functioning like a heavy blunt weapon. With just one strike, he sent more than a dozen martial artists flying:
"Did you really think I only know how to use a carving knife?!"
Tu Shengyuan and Chen Chengbi greatly rattled the place, one with massive and profound pure Yang power, and the other with supreme movement technique. They restrained the four Grandmasters, so martial artists like Nan Qingping and the owner of the Divine Beast Manor had no choice but to retreat.
The attention of the crowd was captivated by this rare grand battle.
Only Yuwen Tianxian was anxious, abandoning the spot. He grabbed his Treasure Weapon and rushed towards the previous clash site while also issuing orders to the private soldiers of the City Lord Mansion. Li Guanyi and Shaking Light were attempting to flee, not getting very far when they heard a loud shout.
"Li Guanyi!"
Li Guanyi looked up and saw Yuwen Tianxian already close by, holding a Bronze Spear with silvery spots, with a Dharma Form nearly materializing behind him. This was just below the power level of a Grandmaster. Just one glance and Li Guanyi reached out with his right hand.
Breaking Cloud Sky-shattering Bow!
He spun around and drew the bow.
Inner Qi surged mightily into the Divine Weapon.
The arrow shot out fiercely.
It was aimed directly at Yuwen Hua, who was staggering with a broken spear, disengaging from the battlefield. Wounded internally by Li Guanyi’s "Great Qian Yuan" strike, this arrow, also powered by a Divine Weapon, targeted the back of his head.
Yuwen Tianxian, in great anger, had no choice but to change his move.
The move came crashing down, intercepting and severing the arrow shot by the Breaking Cloud Sky-shattering Bow.
He then supported Yuwen Hua, transferring powerful Inner Qi to him and asked, "Hua’er, how are you?"
Yuwen Hua spat out a mouthful of blood, his complexion slightly pale, gritted his teeth and said, "He must have the cultivation of the Fourth Layer Heaven, plus a mysterious Absolute Skill that can twist and attack with my movements. I was caught off guard by the kid’s move."
"Uncle, be careful, Li Guanyi’s martial arts are formidable, with many tricks up his sleeve," warned Yuwen Hua.
"Good," said Yuwen Tianxian. "You should take the Elixir Pills and rest right away."
"I’ll take this guy down."
He turned around only to see the young man running like the wind and then stretching out a single hand to effortlessly lift someone wearing a long robe with a hood.
Li Guanyi couldn’t bother with anything else.
When Yuwen Tianxian appeared, Li Guanyi’s brow throbbed violently.
This martial artist had a move that could kill him instantly.
The young Taoist immediately lifted the hidden Shaking Light, holding a heavy spear in his hand. With such a long weapon in hand, he naturally felt much more secure. He then placed Shaking Light on his back. The silver-haired girl blinked, naturally reaching out, clinging to the young man.
With her silver hair fluttering, she reached out to tidy the stray strands behind her ear, then bent slightly to whisper in the young man’s ear,
"Turn to the left."
Li Guanyi changed directions, stepping on the flowing wind, and headed to the left.
A streak of light almost grazed his body as it fell.
And blasted a pavilion into dust!
Yuwen Tianxian’s expression was icy as he held a heavy bow, its string made of dragon’s sinew from a sea dragon, still humming.
Li Guanyi was sent flying by the blast of the explosion, landed on the ground, cradled Shaking Light in his arms, and rolled several times. Then, bracing the spear in his right hand against the ground, he leaped up and sprinted in another direction.
Li Guanyi smirked.
He was weaker than Yan Xuanji overall but was largely on the same level.
Damn it!
A famed warrior on the Divine General List?
Li Guanyi was almost ready to curse out loud.
Yuwen Lie, are you holding me in too high regard?
While it was impossible for him to be high-ranking on the Divine General List, even someone ranked in the nineties would be capable of leading tens of thousands of troops and commanding cities on the frontier. All this just to kill him?
Destroying Zhenbei City was real, and so was the intent to kill Li Guanyi.
Yet, for some reason, even in such a dangerous and urgent situation, the youth clenched his teeth, but a surge of pride welled up inside him. Far from feeling fear, he actually burst into laughter.
Shaking Light clung tightly to his neck, seemingly a little scared.
The girl, like a leaf in the rain, nestled in Li Guanyi’s arms.
But her voice remained calm.
"To the right."
Li Guanyi whirled his spear in his hand.
Mountain Shattering!
Pointing it directly at the wall.
The beautifully decorated, rune-carved, ornate green rock wall turned instantly into dust.
The tremendous recoil pushed Li Guanyi and Shaking Light violently forward into a fancy building ahead, still pursued by a relentless burst of Jin Qi. Li Guanyi held Shaking Light tightly, ducking low as his shoulder smashed into the wall of the room before him.
