Chapter 139: Chapter 83: Golden Muscle and Jade Bone, The Fourth Dharma Form

A simple meal of coarse liquor and meat was something Li Guanyi, let alone Siming, could scarcely resist. Siming brought Li Guanyi to meet several masters he had found, all of whom were known to Li Guanyi. Among them was Mr. Wang Tong and that sword-carrying man with the resolute expression and a black panther Dharma Form, whom he had brushed past that day.

Another was the refined old man whom Li Guanyi had saved when he galloped out of the city.

Siming casually introduced them, saying, "You are all familiar with this young man."

"Li Guanyi, as for these three, this one is from Confucianism, originally a Sacrificial Wine Master in the Academy, later left the Academy to travel through various countries; this one, the Mo School’s seventh giant, their lineage adheres to Universal Love, having abandoned personal names long ago."

"His Martial Arts are not bad, able to use a heavy sword to break through Heavy Armor. If he’s not leading troops into battle, in one-on-one combat, he won’t be inferior to Yue Qianfeng, especially skilled in many secret techniques, the Mo Zhe’s little gadgets are quite famous in the Martial World."

"This one—"

"Zu Wenyuan, the leading Mathematician of this era, Taoist Sacrificial Officer, knowledgeable in all kinds of skills, but does not practice Martial Arts."

Li Guanyi stepped forward to pay respects, and the three individuals returned the gesture, with the Master of the Mo School sparing his smiles and Mr. Wang Tong having met Li Guanyi before. Only Zu Wenyuan, smiling and stroking his beard, said, "I’ve long heard from General Yue Qianfeng about a young friend he knows; I never expected it to be you."

"Did you also solve the little problem I left at the Liu Family’s Private School?"

Li Guanyi recalled how he had become acquainted with the young lady, realizing it was the work of this elder before him.

Time was still early, and Zu Wenyuan pulled Li Guanyi aside for a chat, sharing much knowledge about Mathematics and formulas. At first, Li Guanyi felt that the Mathematics of this world were ordinary, but the more he interacted, the more extraordinary he found this old man. After the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, he could only use the algorithmic advantages he had learned.

And soon, the elder before him understood them.

Quickly, Li Guanyi found he could no longer keep up with Zu Wenyuan’s pace.

At this time, the elder would talk about some strange tales from the Martial World, as well as the connection between mathematical techniques and Stargazing Skills, again capturing his attention. Gradually leading him on, before he knew it, dusk had arrived. Zu Wenyuan timely halted the topic, looked up at the starry sky outside and smiled, "The time has come."

"Let’s go, young friend."

Li Guanyi’s eyes sparked with anticipation, knowing the moment had arrived.

At this time, he discovered that the taciturn giant of the Mo School had vanished.

Only he and Zu Wenyuan remained.

The elder, though a notable figure in the Taoist sect, did not practice Martial Arts; his cultivation focused purely on the divine, excelling in deducing the myriad things of the universe and the path of Mathematics, unequaled in sophistication yet not used for combat. The elder only laughed, "To my level of Mathematics, seeking benefits and avoiding harm is a simple matter."

"The superior good is non-contention. I am much more at ease than many Martial Artists with exceptional Martial skills," he said.

Li Guanyi asked, "So there’s nothing you can’t avoid?"

Zu Wenyuan replied with a smile, "No."

He paused, then softly added, "Only the things I don’t want to avoid."

The elder guided the way, and Li Guanyi rode forth. After leaving the city and hurrying along the night road for about an hour, they reached the place where Mr. Wang Tong was quietly sitting outside the woods, looking composed. Behind him, everything was as usual.

But as Li Guanyi entered, suddenly a bright light illuminated his eyes.

The Confucians’ mastery of Qi outstripped all others.

Under Mr. Wang Tong’s concealment, nothing happening in the clearing could be detected from outside, yet inside was a complex Formation, carved by the Mo Zhe giant wielding a heavy sword. The Formation involved Li Guanyi’s Fate Grid, Tuyuhun’s Qi Fortune, Heavenly Phenomenon, Water Patterns, and the topography, among many other complications.

It was Zu Wenyuan’s method.

At the very center of this vast and complex Formation was a slowly rotating Yin Yang Fish.

Siming still wore his usual attire, but as he held the Seal of Tuyuhun and stepped into the Formation, his white hair lifted slightly, his expression becoming solemn and dignified, distinguishing him from the often off-key elder of the past. This was the oldest person from the Yin Yang Family in the world, the Upper Three Seating Siming.

He placed the Seal at the spot representing "Yin."

Then he turned to Li Guanyi, "Come over."

"Yin Yang Reincarnation, what has passed is indeed gone. You shall sit at the Yang position."

Li Guanyi removed his shoes and socks, stepping barefoot onto the Formation.

As his feet touched down, the Formation, cut into existence by the heavy sword, lit up with a silver glow. Li Guanyi noticed traces left by silver powder at the base of the Formation, which began to ripple as he entered. With the identity of the Taoist Sacrificial Officer, the positional authority of the premier Mathematician, and the assistance of Siming,

this Formation, from this day on, would be impossible to repeat.

Li Guanyi sat cross-legged on one side of the Tai Chi Diagram.

The entire Formation lit up, as if the stars had descended, enveloping Li Guanyi within. Siming released his hands, stepping on different nodes, beginning an ancient chant, reminiscent of ancient blessings and sacrifices. He was, after all, the greatest Sacrificial Officer of his age.

The Seal of Tuyuhun trembled.

Finally, streams of Qi rose, almost breaking through Wang Tong’s concealment.

That was the power left by the greatest hero of the Western Regions, the strength that carved out a three-hundred-year legacy of an Overlord in the Western Regions. The boundless ferocious and regal Qi rose, the Formation clearing the malevolence with rippling Water Patterns, trees trembling as if banners were waving fiercely. Siming’s chant grew more urgent.
