Chapter 462: Chapter 476: Attracting the Will of Heaven and Earth
"Ah, such a tiring life."
Staring at the empty camp, Mu Can for the first time felt a bit lonely.
With a flicker, Mu Can vanished from his spot and appeared within the first layer of the Reincarnation Pearl.
All the dimwits have gone to the new world in the Reincarnation Pearl Fourth Layer; those soul bodies that he saved back then now possess their own souls and are cultivating on Tongshen Mountain; hence, the first layer of the Reincarnation Pearl became desolate again.
Mu Can sat at the entrance of a cave dwelling, gazing lovingly in the direction of the cave.
"Purple Cloud, why haven’t you come out of closed-door cultivation yet? I’ve already advanced to the Void Level, even stronger than you were at your peak. Come out soon, so I can help you break through to the Void Level as well," Mu Can murmured to the cave dwelling.
He could feel that Purple Cloud was in a special state of closed-door cultivation inside the cave dwelling, a profound and mysterious state.
Even Wang Cai couldn’t understand it, and Mu Can didn’t dare recklessly awaken Purple Cloud. This wasn’t his first time here, but every time he came, Purple Cloud’s state remained unchanged.
After muttering to himself at the entrance, Mu Can’s figure disappeared from the spot, as if nothing had happened.
...
"Wang Cai, come out and join me to see the ruler of the Three Realms," Mu Can called out to Wang Cai.
Ever since the New World became bustling, Wang Cai has been having the time of its life there.
One moment it went to the prison area to tease those Immortal Venerables and Demon Lords, infuriating them into cursing loudly.
Another moment, it went to the normal area to watch those Elders from the Immortal Ancient Academy, putting on airs as it taught them a few moves - the effects were surprisingly good. After the opening of the fifth layer of the Reincarnation Pearl, Wang Cai also stepped directly into the Void Level, and with its experience in the Supreme Interface, guiding these Martial Saints was more than manageable.
But what made Wang Cai the happiest was everything happening in Tongshen Mountain.
Together with Brother Lin, tormenting those youngsters fulfilled Wang Cai’s mischievous desires to the fullest; under Wang Cai’s hellish pressure, those cultivators in Tongshen Mountain also rapidly progressed.
If it wasn’t for Mu Can’s call, Wang Cai might have truly fallen in love with this lifestyle.
"Wang! Go see the ruler of the Three Realms?" Wang Cai instantly appeared beside Mu Can.
"What were you up to?" Mu Can chuckled as he looked at Wang Cai.
Wang Cai was dressed indistinguishably from a teacher of the Immortal Ancient Academy, wearing a robe of black and white. Mu Can then remembered that this dog loved acting as someone else - to an almost pathological degree; he had not suffered little under Wang Cai’s tutelage.
"Are you not off giving lectures?" Mu Can asked with a mix of tears and laughter.
This was indeed something Wang Cai would do.
"But it’s fine. Having you help these people break through to the Void Level faster isn’t bad either," Mu Can grinned, as if he could see Wang Cai in that outfit, lecturing a group of Martial Saints.
"Wang! It’s their fortune to be lectured by Lord Wang Cai. Even that old man named Ge, under my guidance, was almost able to break through to the Void Level," Wang Cai boasted with a huge dog face, chin lifted towards Mu Can.
"Alright, alright, you’re very sensitive with your nose. See if you can find where the ruler of the Three Realms is."
Mu Can held the coffin lid he snatched during his last Heavenly Tribulation in his hand, gesturing for Wang Cai to inquire.
"Wang! Really treating Lord Wang Cai like a dog, huh?" Wang Cai vanished from the spot and instantly appeared by Mu Can, snapping its large maw towards Mu Can’s thigh.
Unfortunately, with a click, it missed.
"Seriously, if you can find it, I’ll let you pick three treasures first."
Unable to negotiate, Mu Can could only pull out his trump card.
"Five pieces."
"Four is the max, there might not even be four."
"Deal."
It turns out that money can not only make the devil grind, but also turn the proud Lord Wang Cai into a real dog.
Wang Cai sniffed on the coffin board, rose to his feet, and started spinning in place.
"Where is it? Can you see it?" Mu Can quickly asked.
If Wang Cai couldn’t locate it, he would have to try to initiate the Heavenly Tribulation, maybe venture into it as a last resort.
"It’s definitely in the sky, but I don’t think it needs to be that troublesome," Wang Cai thought and said.
"Just unleash your Void Level aura with all your might, the will of heaven and earth should directly invite you over."
"Why didn’t I think of that?" Mu Can then remembered, although the ruler of the Three Realms was in a coma, the will of the Three Realms was always active.
Mu Can had wondered why breaking through to the Void Level hadn’t triggered Heavenly Tribulation, but then a remark from Wang Cai enlightened him.
At the Void Level, one transcends the Three Realms, and the will of the Three Realms simply can’t impose Heavenly Tribulation.
Now Mu Can could leave for the Supreme Interface at will if he desired; he simply couldn’t let go of everything here yet.
Mu Can is no longer the novice who just broke through to the Void Level and couldn’t control his power. After battling through the Reincarnation Pearl Fifth Layer, his command over his body had reached its peak.
Controlling his power effortlessly, he launched attacks into the air.
Gigantic spatial rifts appeared in mid-air, then gradually healed.
Even through the spatial rifts, Mu Can could see the twinkling stars hidden in the Void.
"The Mortal World’s space is too unstable. If the master of the Three Realms hadn’t placed it deep within the chaos, it might not even have grown without being devoured by other spaces," Wang Cai shook his head.
Under normal circumstances, such phenomena wouldn’t occur; even a full-force attack by someone at the Void Level would only leave a small gap just small enough for a person to initially enter.
But Mu Can’s recent attack had torn a massive crack across the sky, as if slicing the heavens with a blade.
"Be careful, don’t attract the creatures from the Void," Wang Cai warned.
"Can such an attack attract the creatures from the Void?" Mu Can asked.
Many terrifying creatures live in the Void; while they are not as powerful as those extraterrestrial demons, they might stealthily infiltrate realms upon sensing the aura of living beings, wreaking havoc.
"Is that so, then can I go into the Void to capture some creatures and absorb their Spiritual Power?"
Mu Can pondered and spoke.
It wasn’t in his nature to devour others’ Life Spiritual Power for no reason. Although not a practitioner of the demonic path, he still had reservations about such actions.
However, it was different with the creatures from the Void. Those creatures, driven purely by instinct, posed no psychological burden to Mu Can when absorbing their Spiritual Power.
