Chapter 162: Chapter 164: The Resurrection of Mu Ziang
Watching Mu Zi’ang on the screen being killed with his eyes open in disbelief, Mu ZiLi’s whole body was almost bursting with murderous intent, as if it could pierce the heavens.
Dummy only felt a chill on Mu Can’s shoulder.
"Daddy, don’t be angry, Grandpa will definitely be resurrected," Dummy comforted Mu Can.
The murderous aura on Mu Can did not subside as Mu Zi’ang had indeed died unjustly in the Death Space.
"Young friend, there’s no need to worry. Everything within this Death Space is under my control," Sovereign Gao Tian said, addressing the enraged Mu Can.
Sovereign Gao Tian thought of Mu Can’s master, feeling a great apprehension in his heart. If he did not provide an explanation to Mu Can today, it might provoke the fearsome elder behind Mu Can. He definitely did not wish to deal with the stealthy Heavenly Dao Taoist again.
That old Taoist, self-proclaimed as the Heavenly Dao Thief, had means reaching the sky. He was both sly and despicable. Countless forces in the Supreme Interface had suffered under him, and it was only because his family’s elder had an exceptional relationship with the Heavenly Dao Thief that Sovereign Gao Tian had escaped trouble.
"Then I’ll have to trouble the senior," Mu Can gradually regained his composure. If Mu Zi’ang could be resurrected, then Mu Zi’ang himself should be the one to seek vengeance. He was just unsure if the person who conspired against Mu Zi’ang was still alive.
Sovereign Gao Tian nodded. In the space he had created, he was the ultimate Sovereign. To resurrect a cultivator who had died here was not simple, but it was not impossible either.
"Please wait here for a moment, young friend, I shall return shortly."
Even if resurrection was possible, it required some preparation. Sovereign Gao Tian disappeared in an instant, off to prepare the treasures for Mu Zi’ang’s resurrection.
"Little brat, don’t worry, since he said he can resurrect your father, there will definitely be no problem," Purple Cloud gently took Mu Can’s hand, wanting to give him courage.
She knew how important Mu Zi’ang was in Mu Can’s heart.
"Daddy, don’t worry, Grandpa will surely return," Dummy said softly, grasping a strand of Mu Can’s hair.
Mu Can nodded. Although he had been prepared for the chance that Mu Zi’ang had encountered misfortune, when he actually saw it, Mu Can still couldn’t bear it; that was his dearest relative, the father who raised him.
Even when he was at his lowest, his father never gave up on him. Instead, he chose to enter dangerous places alone, trying to find fortunes that could restore his cultivation.
"Dad, rest assured, if the person who conspired against you is dead, I will find a way to resurrect him; then you can have your revenge yourself."
Mu Can could never forget the expression on Mu Zi’ang after he was conspired against. It was one of regret. Those eyes filled with pain must have been lamenting his inability to hand over the Nine Revolutions Reincarnation Fruit to Mu Can.
Sovereign Gao Tian left quickly and returned just as swiftly, appearing beside Mu Can after only a moment. In his hand was a corpse.
The body appeared to be in its thirties, without a trace of spiritual energy fluctuation, with eyes tightly closed,
"This is the body of an Immortal Venerable," Sovereign Gao Tian said.
Only then did Mu Can realize that the Mortal World he was in was but one of the numerous planes connected by the Death Space, and it was a declining one at that.
In the words of the High Immortal Venerable, only cultivators at the Immortal Venerable Level are barely able to live within the Supreme Interface, being the weakest among the cultivators in the Supreme Interface.
"Your plane is an incomplete one, and it has always been in a state of decline, where the Spiritual Energy is ever diminishing, eventually even cultivators will disappear without a trace."
Not only Mu Can, but even Purple Cloud had their eyes wide open; their own plane was actually the weakest, and this was a considerable shock to Mu Can.
"So, hurry up and finish your business there, ascend to the Supreme Interface, your Mortal, Immortal, and Demon Three Realms will collapse sooner or later, and nothing will be left behind." High Immortal Venerable instructed, having met a pleasing young prodigy; although he could not become his disciple, the High Immortal Venerable wanted to carefully advise him.
Mu Can engraved the words of the High Immortal Venerable in his heart. His words had opened a new door for Mu Can. The Mortal World, Immortal World, and Demon World were too insignificant. The masters he had recently encountered, like his martial uncle Xu Chao and the High Immortal Venerable, capable of creating space, had already transcended the realm he belonged to by who knows how many times.
Mu Can felt an immense longing for the Supreme Interface; from the sounds of it, that was where the mighty should reside.
"It’s not that I am unwilling to find better resurrection materials for your father, it’s just that the limitation of your plane is that even the Immortal Venerable has reached its peak," explained the High Immortal Venerable slowly.
Even though Mu Can’s power might not withstand even a single breath from the High Immortal Venerable, since Mu Can is the disciple of that old fellow, the High Immortal Venerable dared not harm Mu Can. Who knows if injuring Mu Can might provoke that terrifying old Taoist to come knocking on his door, and at that time, even the face of his senior might not be of any use. Don’t forget that lineage is not just about one Heavenly Dao Thief but also about top masters.
"Give me nine drops of your Essence Blood," requested the High Immortal Venerable.
Mu Can gently opened his wrist, and nine drops of Essence Blood flew one by one to the High Immortal Venerable, hovering above his palm.
"Within Death Space, a cycle of reincarnation is formed by itself. Once a cultivator dies in Death Space, their soul disperses into shards across this space, not entering the reincarnation of the outside world."
The space created by the High Immortal Venerable has even spawned its own cycle of reincarnation, meaning that cultivators who die here, without the help of others, even if they are to be reborn, can only do so within this Death Space.
"Soul come and go, soul come and go," the High Immortal Venerable kept muttering incessantly.
The nine drops of Essence Blood slowly rose into the air, arranging themselves in mid-air to form a small Array. As the High Immortal Venerable worked his method, the Essence Blood Array seemed to communicate with heaven and earth, abruptly a portal appeared in midair, emitting a cold aura.
"Soul come and go, soul come and go," the High Immortal Venerable still murmured, as the nine drops of Essence Blood entered the portal. The portal opened wide and a figure walked out from within, looking exactly like Mu Can’s father.
"Dad," Mu Can called out excitedly.
Mu Zi’ang’s eyes were bewildered; hearing someone calling out, he looked helplessly at Mu Can, tears streaming down his face.
"Can’er, how come you are here, wasn’t I dead?" Mu Zi’ang looked at his hands; the translucent appearance indeed resembled that of a Soul Body.
"Soul come and go," roared the High Immortal Venerable, and the nine drops of Essence Blood energetically emerged from the portal. The portal slowly closed and vanished from the air, leaving only a confused Mu Zi’ang.
"Essence Blood into the body, soul come and go." The nine drops of Essence Blood, which had been prepared in advance, entered the ready Immortal Venerable Level corpse. One drop for each limb, one for the forehead, one for the chest, and the remaining three directly entering Mu Zi’ang’s body.
A massive pulling force came through, Mu Zi’ang’s soul was drawn into the body lying on the ground.
The body moved its eyelids and slowly opened its eyes.
