Chapter 100: Chapter 100: There Will Always Be Farewells

Long Yunyun stretched out a hand to tease the little Lucky who was fast asleep on her back, paws up in the air. When a bubble appeared on its snout and burst by itself, scaring the little creature, Long Yunyun couldn’t help but burst into laughter with it.

This woman, who had just found little Lucky ugly, was now its devoted little fan.

Zhang Baobao looked at Long Yunyun cradling little Lucky in her hands, wishing he could turn into a little panda himself and be held by her too.

"Let me hold him too," Zhang Baobao edged closer and pleaded with a puppy-dog face.

Long Yunyun glanced at Zhang Baobao, turned her head away, and said coldly, "Go away, don’t you corrupt little Lucky with your smell of copper."

Zhang Baobao was on the verge of tears, "Is it my fault for being rich? What can I do if my family insists on making me wear these clothes?"

But no matter what he said, Long Yunyun simply ignored him, gently stroking little Lucky’s furless belly, making it giggle in its sleep.

Mu Can completely ignored Zhang Baobao’s pleading eyes, instead giving him a look that seemed to say, "Good luck with that."

There were many girls in the Mortal World; why on earth did you have to fall for Long Yunyun? You’re just asking for trouble.

"Are you all okay?" Upon his return, he saw Lanlan and the others looking worriedly at him.

Mu Can waved his hand, "We’re fine, the path ahead is safe. Let’s go up the mountain and look for that cave."

It must be said, Zhang Baobao’s memory was truly miraculous, finding a very hidden cave not long after beginning the ascent.

The cave was hidden behind a boulder, but for a Cultivator with Mu Can’s current near-divine strength, it was a trivial task to move the boulder aside, revealing most of the cave’s entrance.

The cave appeared to have been unvisited for many years, and although it felt somewhat chilly inside, it wasn’t damp at all, with noticeable air circulation. It was clear that there must be ventilation of some kind within.

It must be said, as a temporary refuge for these women, this cave was an ideal hideout.

Zhang Baobao took out several huge Luminous Pearls, illuminating the entire cave as if it were daylight.

"My goodness, these Luminous Pearls must be worth a fortune." Old Wang and the others, having never seen such magical items before, stared dumbfounded at the pearls that Zhang Baobao had embedded into the top of the cave, their alluring glow enchanting the space.

Zhang Baobao glanced at Old Wang, and the next second, joy rained down from above. Zhang Baobao actually took out another pearl and tossed it to Old Wang.

Old Wang fumbled to catch it, his hands trembling as he asked, "Is this for me?"

"Since you like it, take it." Zhang Baobao said nonchalantly. To him, these things, which were of little use for one’s Cultivation, were worthless.

"Thank you, Young Master Zhang." Old Wang knew Zhang Baobao was wealthy, but hadn’t realized he was wealthy enough to casually dispense such treasures. If they had had such a Luminous Pearl back on Yunlong Mountain, they wouldn’t have fallen on hard times.

Doggie, green with envy, quickly snuggled up to Old Wang, wrapping an arm around his neck, "Hey Old Wang, we swore an oath back in the day. You can’t forget your brothers on your lucky day."

"Hehe, sure thing," Old Wang, holding the Luminous Pearl with glee as if he were out of his mind, was too afraid to believe it was not a dream.

"How’s it here? I’ll get each of you a separate bed shortly," Mu Can asked Lanlan as he looked around.

The space inside the cave was quite spacious, and with nearly fifty people inside, it didn’t feel too crowded.

"It’s good, thank you," Lanlan said, her face full of gratitude, already content with having such a safe place.

"Just do it," Mu Can directly set about transforming the cave.

Half an incense stick’s time later, under the astonished gazes of everyone, the renovated cave looked brand new.

Apart from lacking some household items, it even looked better than an average inn.

"Am I dreaming?" The dog grabbed the Luminous Pearl from Old Wang’s hands and lifted it up to make the light brighter.

Lanlan was also stunned as she looked at the transformed cave. She only thought having a place to stay would be good enough; she didn’t expect Mu Can to provide them with such a great environment.

"How is it?" Controlling stone is much more difficult than controlling soil, so Mu Can also didn’t feel as relaxed.

"It’s fantastic." Everyone nodded in agreement. These conditions exceeded most people’s expectations.

Mu Can smiled as well, "Alright, as long as you’re satisfied. You guys might have to stay here for a long time."

"Are you leaving?" Lanlan looked at Mu Can with reluctance, asking softly.

Nodding his head, Mu Can had to hurry towards Jue Ming Valley after making arrangements for Lanlan and the others. Taking a group of women without cultivation with him was always a burden.

"You must practice cultivation diligently. I expect to one day hear about the Flying Phoenix Building in the Mortal World." Mu Can thought it over and instructed.

The Cultivation Techniques provided by Purple Cloud were the most suitable for these women. Mu Can believed that one day Lanlan and the others would surely achieve their dreams.

Lanlan gently walked up to Mu Can and hugged him tightly, tears dripping down.

"I can never repay the great kindness of my savior in this life. If there is an afterlife, Lanlan wishes to be a servant forever by your side," Lanlan said with her face against Mu Can’s chest.

Mu Can wanted to stop her, but was afraid of hurting the girl’s heart. He could see that the experiences in the mountain village brought them pain and inferiority besides sorrow.

He stroked Lanlan’s smooth hair softly and said, "You are all good girls; you must all take good care of yourselves."

Meeting late and parting soon; if there are meetings, there must be goodbyes.

...

"Don’t see me off," Mu Can said to the reluctant Lanlan.

"Yes, this is far enough." Not only Lanlan’s eyes contained tears, but the girls behind her almost felt like crying.

A thousand miles of company, but there is eventually a parting. The road ahead for Lanlan and the others will have to be walked by themselves.

"Old Wang, don’t be so glum. Here, I’m giving you back the Luminous Pearl." The dog put the Luminous Pearl, which he had taken from Old Wang in the cave, back in Old Wang’s hands.

"Do you think they can have a good life after this?" Old Wang didn’t take the Luminous Pearl but asked with a perplexed face.

In this Mortal World, everyone, no matter their strength or level of cultivation, has their own worries.

With the group of women gone, the remaining people, who almost all had cultivation, suddenly had their travel pace quickened.

"Finally, we’ve arrived." With almost no rest, the group hurried at full speed till they reached the Long Family in Jue Ming Valley.
