Chapter 654: 611 Opening (1st Update)

After returning, Tang Su and Lu Han got busy. Tang Su discussed with Wu Jie and set the opening date for their business on June 1st to coincide with Children’s Day and plan some activities.

Tang Su’s idea was that on Children’s Day, there would certainly be many parents taking their kids to amusement parks, but there would also be many who would want to bring their kids to swim in the ocean of books.

As for the café, it was targeting young adults. Everyone wants to be babied and pampered, so opening on this day was perfect.

After hearing Tang Su’s reasoning, Wu Jie slammed his hand on the table in approval and immediately decided: on Children’s Day, their bookstore and café would open.

The name of the bookstore was Tang Su’s name—"Tangtang Bookstore."

The name of the café was more conventional, named "Feifan Encounter Café."

Wu Jie chose the name, referencing the process through which he and Jian Jie met and fell in love.

Exclusively for adults.

Tang Su quite liked the name, even more so after knowing the story of how Wu Jie and Jian Jie got acquainted.

Tang Shengyi and Su Ruoan didn’t have that much time off, so they returned to Hua City before their daughter’s two stores opened. Zhao Xinlan stayed behind, waiting to present her gift when Tang Su opened the business.

Zhao Xinlan had registered her marriage with Su Yangming. All she wanted was to register without a wedding ceremony. Even though Su Yangming felt it was unfair to her, Zhao Xinlan thought it was fine, so naturally, he followed her wishes.

In regards to this, Old Lady Su did not insist otherwise.

Since they registered their marriage, Tang Su had already started calling Zhao Xinlan aunt.

Zhao Xinlan was initially not used to it and told Tang Su that when "your uncle" wasn’t around, she could still call her godmother. So, wherever Zhao Xinlan went, Su Yangming followed.

Zhao Xinlan was speechless, asking him if he didn’t need to earn money to support the family.

Su Yangming then showed his bank balance, saying that as long as they lived frugally, they could lie flat and enjoy life together for the rest of their lives.

Because of this, Zhao Xinlan complained to Su Ruoan not just once or twice. Su Ruoan told her to be more tolerant.

What could she do? Finding a younger man meant she had to be the caring big sister, didn’t it?

After Su Yangming learned of this, he immediately stopped clinging to Zhao Xinlan. He wanted to be her support, not a little man that needed her care.

Zhao Xinlan admired Su Ruoan’s way of handling things, "You really know how to manage."

On the opening day, their circle of close friends all came. Lu Han also managed to find time to stop by. His buddies didn’t come, but Professor Ming did.

Professor Ming had almost finished detoxifying Lin Jiaojiao and Elder Tan. Their bodies were gradually recovering.

Professor Ming also left Lin Jiaojiao a unique prescription, saying that if they wanted children after a year of body conditioning, they could follow this prescription for six months, and then they would successfully conceive.

This news brought Lin Jiaojiao to tears of joy. She thought that after suffering so much, the chance of her becoming a mother in this lifetime was almost impossible.

Before, when Elder Tan was taking care of Tan Rongrong, she never thought about having her own child. Now that Tan Rongrong was also gone, her desire to have her own child grew even stronger.

This was only her own wish, and she had never mentioned it to Tang Su and the others. Yet, Professor Ming prepared such a wonderful gift for her.

How could she not be overjoyed?

She almost knelt before Professor Ming in gratitude.

But Professor Ming didn’t need her thanks; seeing her happy was enough.

Professor Ming prepared two Peace Guanyin Statues for Tang Su, saying that placing them in the store would bless the business.

"They can ensure both stores earn money peacefully, with less friction with customers."

Although Tang Su didn’t know the value of these two Peace Guanyin Statues, she deeply felt Professor Ming’s thoughtful gesture.

Professor Ming showed up, presented the gift, had a few opening-day cupcakes, and after learning that Su Ruoan and Tang Shengyi had returned to Hua City, left with Lu Han as they had other important matters to attend to.

"Congratulations on the opening, wife," Lu Han prepared a super large red envelope for Tang Su’s opening day.

"Thank you, husband."

After sending off the guests, Tang Su then placed an additional order with the neighboring dessert shop, using the large red envelope Lu Han had just given her.

The elders were even more generous; Bai Wei simply booked the entire restaurant next door, inviting friends who came with flower baskets and those celebrating Tang Su’s success to dine there.

The desserts were prepared for the customers of both the bookstore and the cafe. Overall, Tang Su chose a very good day for the opening, going by their marketing slogan, "Big babies, little babies, all are treasures; wishing all the babies a happy Children’s Day."

Tang Su and Wu Jie made a fortune today, especially with the backing of the two enterprises, which resulted in an exceptionally auspicious opening.

Tang Su was exhausted.

The two clerks at the bookstore were also very tired; fortunately, Wu Jie had arranged for backup staff, or else they might have really struggled to manage the day.

They were tired yet happy.

Lin Jiaojiao and Elder Tan brought Tongtong along too, as lately, Tang Su and Lu Han had been incredibly busy, with Tongtong not having spent much time with them.

After the honeymoon was over, Lu Han settled two major issues, one of which was resolving Tongtong’s problem entirely with the help of Professor Ming.

From Professor Ming, he found out that Tongtong’s hearing was not impaired at all; his hearing was extraordinarily sensitive, and the pus that had previously seeped from his ears, along with what he saw through the otoscope, were not what he had thought.

Luckily, Lu Han hadn’t gone through with the previous surgery plan for Tongtong, as the repercussions could have been unimaginable.

What had been in Tongtong’s ear and mistaken for ’pus’ was actually a Parasitic Gu, and the fluid was its excretions.

Professor Ming also told Lu Han that Tongtong was a very healthy child, and regarding the heart surgery Tongtong had undergone before, Professor Ming conducted relevant tests.

Professor Ming discovered that Tongtong had more than one heart.

The reason he appeared weaker than other children was that the two hearts had not yet coordinated their functions well, causing him pain.

At first, Lu Han didn’t believe what Professor Ming said, after all, if it were a case of multiple hearts, the hospital’s sophisticated detection equipment should have caught it.

Since it hadn’t been detected, it could only mean that someone deliberately concealed it, but Lu Han considered himself to be quite familiar with his hospital colleagues, especially the surgeon who operated on Tongtong; he couldn’t have hidden such a significant matter.

However, the truth proved that someone indeed had hidden it.

Because Tongtong was young, when he and his team faced such an extraordinary child, that doctor did indeed hide the truth.

Lu Han had misjudged that person’s thoughts.

He had planned to find a suitable opportunity to speak earnestly with Tongtong’s guardian, to arrange for a heart specialist as well as to grant himself more time to research information relevant to multiple hearts before studying Tongtong’s heart in detail.

Little did he know, a twist of fate would lead to Lu Han unexpectedly becoming Tongtong’s guardian.
