"I feel... she doesn’t like me," Lu Han said as he looked into Tang Su’s eyes and gave her a Sedative Pill.

Surprised by Lu Han’s certainty, Tang Su asked, "Why? Our Doctor Lu is so outstanding, could Miss Long be blind to his merits?"

"Even the RMB, as good as it is, isn’t liked by everyone. I might seem perfect in your eyes, but I probably can’t compare to the RMB, right?"

"Sure, fine. I’ll set these down and look for Tang Su in the rooms," said Sun Qing, nodding. She reminded Bai Dingkai not to dawdle and come help soon, as there was a lot of food and she couldn’t handle the amount for four people alone, especially since she had to string them all together.

It would be best if everyone could help out.

"No need to look, I didn’t go next door." Before Bai Dingkai could turn around, Lu Han walked out of Tang Su’s room.

"You two were up to no good hiding in the room, huh?" Bai Dingkai pointed at Lu Han, incredulous at the young man’s susceptibility to temptation.

Hiding in a room together during the short time they went to the supermarket?

That really wasn’t acceptable, was it?

What if they had barged in while the two were in the throes of affection? Wouldn’t that be awkward?

"Get your mind out of the gutter. I was removing glass shards from Tang Su," Lu Han said earnestly as he put the medical kit back in its place.

Lu Han attempted to stop Sun Qing just as Tang Su, now neatly dressed, walked out of the room.

After her shower, she looked refreshed, and the slap mark on her face had vanished. Her complexion was rosy and fair from the steam.

Tang Su was no longer feeling dizzy either.

"Thanks for your hard work. What delicious things did you buy?" Tang Su asked, deftly changing the subject.

"Everything is here, all the things we both love to eat."

"I did ask, Bai Second Brother said any meat would do, as for what kind, he’s not fussy," Sun Qing said with a smile, noting that they were all joyous as long as there was meat, just like them.

Sun Qing bought beef, pork, mutton, various offals, steaks, ribs, and some vegetables, not too many. Then she also got some semi-finished products, mostly meat.

"Yeah, I’m not picky, just happy with meat," Bai Dingkai said with a laugh.

He then turned his head and asked Lu Han, "We bought a lot of things, should we call Bai Dingxian over to help share the load?"

"Mmm, he will come. I asked him to go and top up a card for Tang Su."

"What do you mean? How am I not meticulous? You can’t just attack someone personally like that," Bai Dingkai protested.

Lu Han ignored Bai Dingkai’s protest and, after looking over the things Sun Qing and the others had bought, said to Sun Qing, "No need to buy anything special; that guy likes everything here."

"Mmm, alright, I’ll listen to Doctor Lu." Sun Qing nodded, then tugged at Tang Su’s sleeve, wanting to have a private girl talk, "Tang Bao, let’s go into the kitchen and get ready. We’ll wash the vegetables and marinate the meats."

"You two gentlemen, just prepare the skewers and gloves. Once we wash and cut everything, we’ll bring it out for you to skewer."

"No problem, two lovely ladies," Bai Dingkai said, raising his right hand above his head. He and Lu Han may have been born into wealth, but they certainly didn’t live a pampered life.

In those years where Lu Han depended solely on his aunt, they went through a lot of hardships. Whenever his aunt was busy, Lu Han would have to attend school and also manage his meals.

Lu Han was quite demanding; at first, his aunt gave him money to buy meals outside, but he complained they weren’t tasty, and so he began cooking for himself.

He was certainly no kitchen novice.As for him, the Bai Family generally adopted a laissez-faire approach with their children. While others went abroad for advanced studies, the Bai family children went to learn how to fend for themselves.

The food overseas was truly difficult to swallow.

Once responsibilities were divided, Sun Qing, holding Tang Su’s hand, turned around and went into the kitchen. With a bang, she closed the door behind them and even locked it.
