Lu Han knew that Bai Dingxian was on duty today, and since his shift was about to start, he wanted to have Bai Dingxian arrange for a nurse who had just completed their shift to take Tang Su to the internal medicine department.

Normally, Lu Han would have given clear instructions over the phone, but Tang Su’s high fever had rendered her unconscious, and so sending her to the emergency department wasn’t out of line.

However, what Lu Han hadn’t anticipated was that Bai Dingxian could make his own assumptions without being told.

The result of those assumptions was the belief that Lu Han, once again on his way to work, had played the good Samaritan and picked up a critically ill patient, hence the need for him to prepare quickly.

Consequently, due to the excessive imagination, Bai Dingxian had ordered a green channel be opened, called two on-duty doctors and four nurses to wait at the hospital’s back door, which was closer to their emergency department.

While waiting for Lu Han to bring in the patient, one bespectacled person asked Bai Dingxian, "Doctor Bai, it seems like our hospital’s ambulance hasn’t been out today, has it?"

One of the short-haired nurses agreed, saying, "Yeah, the four ambulances are still parked over there."

She pointed towards the outdoor parking lot.
