Chapter 925: A Gentle Kiss

Chapter 925: Chapter 925: A Gentle Kiss

Lady Song also said, "Or better yet, give it to me. You have all the time in the world ahead of you. If you ever want to look at paintings, you can just ask Ye to paint them for you anytime, but it’s different for me. To see each other again in the future will be a rare occasion indeed."

Nan Feng didn’t compete with Lady Song. "Then let’s give it to Lady Song."

Ye looked at Nan Feng. "Actually, I have given you many paintings. I still keep those to this day. Come with me."

Nan Feng kept wondering, what kind of painting could it be?

Her self-portrait? Or his self-portrait? Or maybe some landscape paintings at most, with perhaps some figures in the background.

And so, Nan Feng followed him into the room.

Moreover, after entering the room, Ye even closed the door. Nan Feng was puzzled, but Ye explained gravely, "The kang is lit inside. If we leave the door open, the warmth will escape."

Fine.

For any other man to say this, Nan Feng would have thought it lecherous, but coming from her idol... Ah, such thoughtfulness.

Alone in the room once more, Ye first stared at Nan Feng for a few seconds with an expressionless gaze. Nan Feng’s heart tightened, and she took two steps back.

However, Ye stopped looking at her and instead opened a cupboard, took out his luggage, and from within, a box. He carefully opened the box and then took out two paintings, handing one of them to Nan Feng first.

With curiosity, Nan Feng unfolded it. As the paper gradually spread out, an enchanting view presented itself before her, capturing her heart: sunset by the reservoir, a lady seated on the grass in a bright red dress, dainty and lovely, with a simple bun, laughing radiantly.

Her head spun for a moment. Similar images surfaced in her mind, scenes that had appeared before.

Is that her?

Next, Ye handed her another painting. It was the same scenery, but with a man and a woman embracing and kissing gently. The man was not the Ye of today, but an ugly one, much like the first time she saw Ye in the Medicine Shop.

This scene also seemed to have appeared many times in her mind.

Nan Feng thought that it could be the original owner’s memory, which was almost fully awakened.

Then came the third painting. As Nan Feng opened it, she began to breathe more rapidly. It depicted portraits of two people, her and Ye, dressed as newlyweds, like a traditional wedding photo shoot in modern times.

When she saw this painting, new scenes flashed through Nan Feng’s mind: a simple room, Ye painting her, she dressed in a wedding gown, not daring to move and thus always watching him, while he, barring the painting, spent the rest of the time watching her, with a window in the room and the setting sun shining through it, making the scene incredibly cozy.

"Did you paint this too?" Nan Feng asked Ye.

Ye nodded his head.

"Then, do the people from your place always paint pictures like this when they get married?" Nan Feng asked.

"That’s not the case," Ye replied with a smile, drawing closer to Nan Feng.

With each step he took, Nan Feng felt the pressure increase a little more.

"You were the one who said it, you said this was the scene you imagined, called a ’wedding photo’. The couple would have the wedding photo painted and then hang it above their bed to look at every day. But we’ve been living together for a year, and it hasn’t been hung above the bed. However, I’ve always carried it with me, never leaving it behind wherever I went."

When Nan Feng heard the words "wedding photo", her mind went "buzz".
