"Indeed, the stars are beautiful," said Nan Feng. "But couldn’t General Nangong see the stars from beside his own tent?"

"I could, but they aren’t as beautiful as they are here," Nangong Ye replied with a smile, turning to gaze at her; his eyes were clear and sparkled like the stars above.

"We used to watch the stars all the time, and the view of the stars from the mountains is a whole different spectacle."
