The Emperor took the command token and looked at it, chuckling, "Since Minister Su is so forthcoming, I’ll keep it. You know, holding this token in my hand feels like holding a hot potato, because you could have used it to ally with Qin Kun and attack the Capital City, to end me."

Su Weifang paled, "Your Majesty, I wouldn’t dare, wouldn’t dare at all. I have elders and children in my family. Qin Kun kept threatening me with their lives, if I didn’t serve him, he would take their lives..."

The Emperor interrupted Su Weifang, speaking slowly, "If Qin Kun can threaten you with your family’s lives, so could I. Since your family seems to be your achilles’ heel, from now on, their safety will be my responsibility. I will ensure their wellbeing."
