Chapter 586: Chapter 588: Seeing the Little Boy Again_1

"I’m his sister," Nan Feng said, "from Daping Village."

The gatekeeper looked Nan Feng up and down, showing no suspicion, and pointed inside: "Behind those row of wooden houses, they’re playing cuju right now."

That would mean they were having a physical education class.

Nan Feng smiled, "So, it’s okay if I go in and take a look, right?"

"There’s no problem, go ahead. That kid usually plays alone, you being his sister, please encourage him more and let him not always keep to himself."

"Alright, I got it!"

Thus, Nan Feng headed toward the area behind those wooden houses.

From afar, she could hear the sounds of boys passing the cuju ball. As she got closer, she saw Sima Guangguang agilely running amongst a group of older boys. However, because of his young age, even though he was sweating from all the running, no one passed the ball to him.

This academy was filled with men who taught and studied, except for a few older women who cooked, there were no women present. Seeing Nan Feng approach, the game paused.

Eventually, more and more boys halted the game.

They all turned around to look at Nan Feng.

Nan Feng walked across the green lawn, smiling, slender in figure, daintily dressed in a red and white skirt. As the wind blew, it lifted her hair with it.

Gentle maiden, a gentleman’s perfect match.

The scholars, who studied the Script of Virtuous, dared not express their lustful thoughts, lest they blasphemed themselves. So they could only look at her and refrain from making sounds.

Sima Guangguang also saw Nan Feng. The sight of her first brought him joy, then a wave of depression.

His performance in the cuju game wasn’t great, he must have looked pathetic. Nan Feng must have seen it, how embarrassing!

Why did she come at this time?

Nan Feng stopped at the sidelines and didn’t continue forward. Instead, she shouted with a smile, "Guangguang."

The scholars finally caught on, she was here for Sima Guangguang.

This kid, although his cuju skill was poor, guts to have a beautiful lady come for him.

Sima Guangguang hesitated for quite a while before shuffling towards Nan Feng, still fretting that Nan Feng saw his humiliation.

But it seemed Nan Feng hadn’t focused on his game. When he approached, she leaned down with a handkerchief in hand to wipe his forehead for him.

As she leaned down, a faint scent enveloped Sima Guangguang and his face turned red.

"Look at you, drenched in sweat, are you tired?" Nan Feng asked.

"I’m not," Sima replied with his head low.

Nan Feng wiped his sweat and asked again, "Is this a class session or free time? If it’s class, I’ll visit another day, I just happened to pass by."

"It’s free time," Sima Guangguang said, he then turned around. Seeing his classmates were all covertly watching, and the cuju game had stopped, he pulled on Nan Feng’s arm, "Nan Feng, let’s go. Let’s not chat here."

"Oh, okay," Nan Feng followed Sima Guangguang.

Sima Guangguang led Nan Feng to a stone bench in front of the wooden houses. That spot conveniently blocked the view of the cuju field from the hungry eyes of his classmates.

"Nan Feng, what’s this?" Sima Guangguang pointed to the wooden box Nan Feng was carrying.

"This? It’s tea, soothing tea, a friend gave it to me, he said it could help with sleep issues," Nan Feng explained. She then asked Sima Guangguang, "Do you want a box? I didn’t bring anything else when I came to see you today, I’ll pass this off as a gift."
