Chapter 477: Chapter 479 - It’s Okay Not to Wash_1
Nan Feng felt that Ye Ge likely wasn’t his parents’ biological child, but didn’t voice her thoughts.
"I’m a man, of course I have to start training from a young age," said Ye Ge, holding Nan Feng’s hands and kissing her forehead. He then gently asked, "Your hands are cold. Have you become tired from walking for so long?"
"Not tired," responded Nan Feng.
But then realizing that Ye Ge might want to carry her, she quickly corrected, "Actually, I’m a bit tired!"
As expected, Ye Ge immediately squatted down in front of her, "Then let me carry you."
Nan Feng quickly leaned onto his back, "Thank you, Ye Ge!"
...
With that, Ye Ge carried Nan Feng all the way back to the Nan Mansion, even carrying her to bed.
Once he had gently laid her on the bed, his large body soon pressed down upon hers.
"I haven’t bathed or washed my face yet..." Before Ye Ge’s weight fully settled on her, Nan Feng raised her hands, pushing against his chest muscles, firm and hard.
"It’s cold, skipping a bath for one night is fine," Ye Ge knelt on the bed, taking her hands and pinning them over her head.
"It’s not about skipping the bath.. I just feel dirty," Nan Feng wasn’t being coy, she always maintained that one should bathe before making love, otherwise the smell of sweat would affect the comfort of the experience.
Ye Ge then sniffed her body, "You’re not dirty, you smell nice!"
"But at the very least I should remove my makeup, right?" Nan Feng said, "I want to wash my face first."
But Ye Ge was already impatient, "I’ll heat some water for you to wash with later."
"But..."
"Fengfeng, seize the moment!"
With that, he kissed her.

...
Despite taking several boat trips recently, Nan Feng still held deep fear towards ships.
Each time the boat reached the middle of the river, she would tightly grip her clothes, praying relentlessly in her heart, hoping the boat wouldn’t sink, hoping she wouldn’t fall into the water again.
Even though she was a good swimmer, she wasn’t sure if the trauma would paralyze her with fear and make her unable to swim if she fell in the water.
Aside from the small river in DaPing village, she had never really swam before.
Of course, the ship she was on was safe. The chances of a ship sinking from Ping County to Wanjin County were extremely low as numerous ships traveled this route every day, unless they were attacked.
Finally reaching the branch store in Wanjin County, Nan Feng instructed the workers to unload the merchandise from the carts, as she carried the platters of cured meats and sausages into the shop.
"Wow, what brings our boss here today?" The shop was filled with customers. Xue Ling, while attending to the customers gave a welcome to Nan Feng.
Time had made Xue Ling look leaner, but she looked much more spirited and less lethargic than before.
As Ma Feng entered the shop she said, "It’s almost New Year’s, I thought I’d come see how you’re doing, so you don’t feel alone."
It was a boss’s way of showing consideration for her employees.
Noticing that Xue Ling seemed overwhelmed, Nan Feng went over to assist the ladies shopping. "Ladies, how may I assist you?"
"..."
As the holidays approached, more and more people came out to shop and waves of customers came and went. After being busy for about two hours, the store finally quieted down by dusk.
Xue Ling finally had a breather. She washed her hands and went over to inspect the goods Nan Feng had brought. "Where did this cured meat come from?"
