In the coming days, Nan Feng resumed her spinning-top-like frenzy. First, she visited Qin Bao to order two thousand small boxes that were only as thick as two fingers, just big enough to hold a small amount of facial masks.

Next, she found a paper shop called Wanliu Hall which could assist in creating flyers. After discussing her needs with them, they expressed that it was completely feasible.

It was then that Nan Feng discovered that advertising is a tradition as old as time itself, complete with vibrant graphics and catchy slogans.

She found these advertisements intriguing and so spent some extra time browsing in Wanliu Hall.

There were more than a dozen workers in Wanliu Hall. Some were in charge of copying, some were responsible for drawing, and others specialized in reproduction. Of course, there weren’t any printing presses, they used a kind of rubbing machine instead. The process was relatively cumbersome and slow, but Nan Feng concluded that it was pretty impressive for the time it was set in.

Nan Feng also noticed an advertisement from a medicine shop and picked it up out of curiosity. She couldn’t help laughing when she read it.

The flyer depicted two drawings. The first was of a person panting for breath. Though the facial features were obscure, the state of agony could be guessed. Accompanying text read: Asthma.

The second picture showed another individual, now hale and hearty with a proud bearing. The caption read: "Cured", essentially mirroring the "before" and "after" scenarios Nan Feng had previously considered.

Nan Feng thought, "Indeed, one must never underestimate the wisdom of the ancients."

Half a month later, the new boxes and flyers arrived. Without wasting any time, Nan Feng continued to make facial cleansers and masks, together with Feng Gu wrapping the boxes.

Eventually Nan Quanyou and Brother Fu also joined in.

Nan Quanyou arrived via the back courtyard after closing Spikenard Square. Hearing that Nan Feng needed help with certain crafts, he had decided to lend a hand.

After slightly over two months of recovery, Nan Quanyou was no longer reliant on a walking stick. Even the distance from Yongwang Lane to Spikenard Square posed no challenge at all, provided he didn’t run.

Nan Quanyou, having experienced the marvel of bone regrowth, now walked upright, without any sign of a limp. His entire demeanor filled with newfound confidence. He was eager to return to his village right away to show the villagers his straightened walk.

But no matter how Nan Feng insisted on him not returning just yet, not until he could run again at least; she would not feel reassured otherwise. So Nan Quanyou had no choice but to endure within the confines of the mansion, thankful at least, for the daily company of Brother Fu.

Brother Fu had lost his father a long time ago, and Nan Quanyou had been exceedingly kind to him, causing the young boy to grow closer to him. Nan Quanyou hadn’t wanted to bring Fu along initially as he was supposed to be assisting Nan Feng. But since Brother Fu insisted on coming, Nan Quanyou eventually brought him along. Of course, he’d pre-informed Bu Rong’s wife to notify Lin Qiaoyun when she returned from work.

Now, Nan Quanyou was helping Nan Feng to pack the cooled face masks and facial cleansers into the small boxes. Filling the two thousand boxes was no easy feat, and they continued to work until it was dark.

Eventually, Lin Qiaoyun also arrived, bringing along food. Considering the number of people in Nan Feng’s shop, she had brought five servings. After they finished eating, they would continue working.

Nan Feng couldn’t help asking Lin Qiaoyun, "Aunt Qiaoyun, have you eaten?"

"I’ve already eaten," Lin Qiaoyun said.

"But why did you bring five servings if you’ve eaten already? Isn’t that one extra?"

"The extra one is for your future husband," Lin Qiaoyun said.

"Future husband?" Nan Feng couldn’t help but laugh, and figured that it must’ve been something Nan Quanyou had said.
