She’s competent and astute, but she’s envious and wants to monopolize Yanyue Square. After tailing that tough woman in Lishui Town for the past couple of days, I learned that it was Xin Meng who bribed her to make trouble at your Spikenard Square five days ago. The rash on their faces was caused by contact with a lacquer tree, a tree that causes a rash upon touch."

"I knew it," Nan Feng said resentfully, "She bribed a few women to slander my skincare products as toxic. This Xin Meng is truly underhanded."

"Indeed, it’s an unfair method of competition," Ye Ge admitted, "But I’ve managed to restrain those tough women. If you want to sue Xin Meng, you’re bound to win."

"No," Nan Feng looked at the several workmen in her shop, "Even if I win, Xin Meng will just get beaten a few dozen times and locked up for a year or two. She would still hold a grudge against me. Besides, Yanyue Square has lots of regular customers. If it closes down, our reputation at Spikenard Square will be damaged as well. I can handle this some other way."

If Xin Meng loses Yanyue Square, her future would be ruined. Moreover, the workers in the shop would lose their jobs. Nan Feng recalled the knife she had suffered the day before. The fruit vendor didn’t really intend to kill her, just to scare her, so she wouldn’t go to the extreme with this matter.

But she had to teach Xin Meng a lesson.

Ye Ge crossed his arms over his chest and gazed at Nan Feng, "I knew you would have your own plan. That’s why I didn’t nab those tough women right away. But from what I know about you, your plan is sure to be lethal."

Nan Feng laughed, "Lethal? I’m just returning the favor in her own way."

As they were talking, a horse-drawn carriage draped in blue and white floral fabric drove up to the corner. The carriage moved slowly until it stopped in front of Yanyue Square.

Seeing the carriage roll up, a worker from Yanyue Square immediately stepped forward to assist the passenger out.

From her spot across the street, Nan Feng could clearly see that a woman in her thirties had stepped off, tall and slender. She moved with grace, her face painted with light makeup, and she appeared quite charming.

It figured. A woman who could run a rouge shop so successful must be attractive, otherwise her products would lack credibility.

Xin Meng stopped abruptly just before entering Yanyue Square.

She felt two pairs of eyes on her and looked back to find herself locking eyes with Nan Feng.

Having seen Nan Feng at Spikenard Square before, Xin Meng smirked contemptuously.

Nan Feng responded with a beaming smile. Seeing her smile unsettled Xin Meng a little. Spikenard Square was in dire straits and Nan Feng had even been injured. Under normal circumstances, shouldn’t she lash out?

Yet, she was laughing?

And moreover, Nan Feng didn’t seem to have any intention to pick a fight, yet she was smiling like this.

Xin Meng glared at Nan Feng and murmured under her breath, "Crazy!"

Two figures gently landed within the walls of a mansion in the city.

Ye Ge nodded, then pointed to a house opposite, "That’s Xin Meng’s place."
