Chapter 259: Chapter 260: Dragon Fang Gang (First Update)_1

The Dragon Tooth Gang was a prominent gang within Ping County. Unlike mountain bandits who established dominance over mountains, the Dragon Tooth Gang had their own ways of making profits, such as running gambling houses, acting as middlemen at the docks, operating entertainment venues, and more. As such, they didn’t need to hide deep in the mountains to evade government officials; they worshipped Guan Yu and had their own mansion within the city.

Lin Hao was merely a minor Hall Master of a subsidiary gang. Now, he was being pressured by Ye Ge to go to the headquarters. He couldn’t help but be frustrated yet he dared not to flare up.

His horse had been taken over by Ye Ge. Surprisingly, Ye Ge had a method to tame horses. The unfamiliar horse was tamed by Ye Ge in no time. Now, Ye Ge and Nan Feng were riding the horse while Lin Hao was tied to the back. If the horse quickened its pace, he had to run; if it slowed down, he had to trudge along behind.

What were the two people on the horse talking about?

Nan Feng: "This is my first time horse riding, so this is how it feels like."

Ye Ge: "Comfortable?"

"Not comfortable, really cramped, and very bumpy."

"Horse riding is not as comfortable as riding in a carriage. But I can teach you if you want to learn since you often travel outside and you don’t have a carriage."

"I’ll have enough money to buy a carriage after saving for a few more months."

"..."

Lin Hao was cursing under his breath the whole time.

After half an hour, they finally arrived at a grand mansion located west of the city. Ye Ge got off first, then helped Nan Feng down from the horse.

The mansion’s main gate was lavish, guarded by eight figures clad in black with hats, their vigilance unmistakable.

Noticing the newcomers, the guards hurriedly questioned, "Who goes there? What matter brings you here at such a late hour?"

Lin Hao quickly produced his badge, "I... I am... the Hall Master of the Full Moon Lodge... of the Fourth Division... These... these two beat me up. And they still... they still want... want to see the gang leader."

The guard dismissed him, "Go away. The gang leader is not well and has retired for the night. Come back tomorrow if you have business."

Lin Hao looked nervously at Ye Ge, "See, I told you, they won’t let us in."

Ye Ge stepped forward with his hands behind his back, "What if I insist on seeing him?"

The guard responded, "We have orders that the gang leader won’t see anyone after dark. So no matter what, I won’t report this. Please, leave."

"Oh?" Ye Ge stepped back before leaping forward. The guards didn’t even have time to react before seeing Ye Ge jump back down.

In Ye Ge’s hand was a transparent, red crystal. He held it up to the guards, "What if I threaten to destroy this Blood Flame Stone above? Will your leader see me then?"

The guard gasped in shock, "How... how do you know about the Blood Flame Stone?"

"I have my ways of knowing. Now, aren’t you going to report our arrival?"

...

Although Nan Feng and Ye Ge were standing at the gate, they could still hear orderly sounds coming from the mansion. The people inside seemed to be lining up.

After a while, the gates swung open, and a stern-looking butler appeared, "Gentlemen and Lady, please, come in."

Nan Feng looked inside, seeing rows of guards lined up from the entrance to the hall, their shining swords at the ready.

Ye Ge seemed not the least bit nervous, he merely said to Nan Feng, "Let’s go in."

If he wasn’t nervous, then Nan Feng naturally wouldn’t be either. So, she strode confidently into the mansion following Ye Ge.
