Chapter 235: Chapter 236 Shopping for Clothes (Second Update)_1

Ye Ge didn’t insist. She said next time and removed any pressure, but he noticed her eating in haste and asked her, "Aren’t you going to take rest after finishing your noodles?"

While Nan Feng was eating, she replied ambiguously, "No, I am going to go shopping for clothes after I finish eating."

Even though her mouth was full of beef noodles, Ye Ge heard her very clearly.

"Shall I come with you?" Ye Ge asked.

"Fine."

Then, Ye Ge affectionately handed her a sesame seed cake.

He didn’t mind if she gained weight. He was only concerned that she was not full.

...

Nan Feng was shopping for clothes in preparation for the grand opening of her store.

As the shopkeeper, it was essential to dress up properly. How else would she impress her customers if she still looked like a country bumpkin?

She already had a plan for buying clothes, so she visited the boutique she had previously scoped out. The store was run by a shopkeeper who sold ready-made clothes that were all fashionable.

It was the afternoon when the sun was the hottest, hence there were no customers in the store. The Shopkeeper became very enthusiastic when she saw Nan Feng and Ye Ge walk in.

"Young Lady, please feel free to look around. Try anything you like. Oh, is this your husband? He’s really great. It’s not common for men to accompany their wives to buy clothes these days. Please take a seat, sir."

Ye Ge was dressed in casual clothes, hence the shopkeeper didn’t realize he was a guard.

Ye Ge accepted the stool handed by the shopkeeper and sat down.

Nan Feng started selecting the clothes. She shopped quickly, believing in love at first sight when it comes to clothes. Once she found fitting clothes she loved, she would buy them right away instead of trying on every piece in the store before deciding which one to buy.

After a while, she chose a silver-red skirt made of crepe silk and paired it with a bean-green fringe with a golden-red heart pattern, along with white knee-length pants. Then, she went to the fitting room to try them on.

Nan Feng always dressed like a typical country girl before, a short sleeve shirt with black linen trousers. Now, for the first time, she was trying on clothes that only city girls wore. She spent a long time dressing up.

After she dressed up, she felt like a different person. The clothes on her were lightweight. It felt like every movement should be graceful enough to match this outfit.

The fitting room was separated by a curtain. There was no mirror inside, so she had to go outside to check how she looked in the clothes.

She wondered how Ye Ge would react when he saw her in these clothes.

From the outside, the Shopkeeper asked warmly, "Lady, are you finished? Need any help inside?"

Well... How could one need help with changing clothes?

"No need, I’m done," Nan Feng replied and then she pulled the curtain back and stepped out.

The first thing, of course, she noticed was Ye Ge’s reaction.

It seemed like Ye Ge’s eyes brightened briefly and then he didn’t take his eyes off her.

Seeing this, the Shopkeeper started flattering, "Young Lady, look at your husband. He can’t take his eyes off you. Thank God it’s daytime. If you were at home, I don’t know if he could contain himself."

Nan Feng didn’t dare to respond to the Shopkeeper’s words. She just asked Ye Ge in a low voice, "Do I look good?"

Ye Ge nodded and added, "You look like a fairy from the heavens."

Nan Feng blushed and turned away, "You have never seen a heavenly fairy."

Ye Ge sincerely replied, "You are exactly what I imagine a fairy to be like."

"..." Nan Feng thought she never realized before, that Ye Ge was a master at flirting.
