Chapter 261 You
Chapter 261: Chapter 261 You
Jiang Keke lingered in the dormitory for a while before leaving.
As for An Yin, she didn’t even have time for dinner as she anxiously rushed to her part-time job.
When she arrived at "Night Charm," she looked lethargic, and when a guest came to the private room they were watching over, An Yin just stood there dazed, completely unresponsive, even forgetting to help open the door.
In the end, it was Shi Qing who swiftly stepped forward and forcefully pushed open the two large doors.
After the guest entered the private room, Shi Qing closed the door again, not in a hurry to return to her spot, but instead went to An Yin, lightly tapping her arm, "What are you daydreaming about?"
"Ah?" An Yin was startled, looking around nervously, and she saw Shi Qing standing next to her. Her face was confused, and she said guiltily, "Nothing, nothing."
Shi Qing didn’t mean to pry into An Yin’s privacy; seeing that she sobered up, she retreated to the door.
At the same time, Wen Mei was leading a man gracefully towards them.
Shi Qing glanced at him. It was him!
The man who had previously taken An Yin out for a chat.
While Shi Qing was thinking about it, Wen Mei and the man came to An Yin.
An Yin looked up, bewildered at the two who appeared suddenly.
"Sister Mei." An Yin belatedly greeted, her gaze shifting to look behind Wen Mei.
"An Yin, take Mr. Meng to No. 1 Premium Suite." Wen Mei’s voice had a certain charm, making it pleasant to listen to.
Hearing Wen Mei’s words, An Yin’s gaze fell on the man’s tall figure, her eyes brightened, "Oh." In response to Wen Mei’s order, An Yin obediently nodded.
Wen Mei observed the young girl’s dazed and foolish manner, and the smile on her face became slightly stiff. She quickly glanced at Meng Sihan, and seeing he showed no signs of displeasure, she let out a sigh of relief, then urged An Yin, "Go on, take him."
"Okay, Sister Mei." An Yin said softly and carefully moved in front of the man, pondering how to address him, recalling that Wen Mei had called him "Mr. Meng" earlier. An Yin looked up, her bright and clear eyes blinking, "Mr. Meng, shall I take you to the suite?"
"Mm." Meng Sihan looked at the startled young girl, his aloof face showing no signs of impatience.
Afterward, An Yin walked ahead.
Meng Sihan followed in strides.
Wen Mei watched as the two disappeared down the corridor, a hint of a mysterious gleam in her eyes.
Shi Qing watched everything and, after deliberation, couldn’t help but ask, "Will An Yin be in danger?"
Before Shi Qing’s voice faded, Wen Mei turned her head, her gaze landing on Shi Qing’s thick-framed black glasses. Wen Mei’s heavily made-up face flashed a trace of desolation, as if she were looking through Shi Qing at someone else.
Growing up, Shi Qing had learned to read between the lines early on, and seeing Wen Mei’s face through her lenses, she felt something was strange about Wen Mei’s expression, though she couldn’t pinpoint what was off.
Their eyes met, each harboring their own thoughts.
"Don’t worry, Mr. Meng isn’t like other wealthy heirs." Wen Mei left this sentence before walking away in her high heels.
Shi Qing frowned slightly, unsure if Wen Mei’s words were true.
Still worried about An Yin, Shi Qing looked at the security guard in the distance, her eyes shifting as she approached them.
Number One Premium Suite.
After leading the man in, An Yin looked at the huge empty room and stood in the center, timidly saying, "I’ll leave now." She figured after leading him here, her task was done, and she should be able to leave.
"Sit."
Meng Sihan spoke with an elegant demeanor, his voice neither loud nor soft, his pace neither fast nor slow, adding a touch of calmness and detachment to his elegance.
An Yin frowned slightly, hastily waving her hands, "I can’t, I’m at work."
Meng Sihan watched as the young girl, like a frightened bird, showed distress on her face. He spoke again in a deep voice, "I’ll say it again, sit down."
Meng Sihan noticed her willow-like eyebrows, flowing hair like a waterfall, and eyes as bright as autumn water, twinkling like stars in the sky.
He also noticed there was no trace of makeup on the young girl’s exquisite face, giving her a pure and elegant impression.
Under the man’s thunderous aura, the timid An Yin eventually conceded, sitting on the sofa farthest away from him. She sat upright, looking at the man with apprehension, "I’m sitting."
Meng Sihan raised his distinguished eyebrows; beneath his prominent nose, his lips were pressed into a thin line, appearing resolute yet gentle.
"Are you unhappy?" Meng Sihan’s tone was assertive.
The young girl’s eyebrows hinted at a subtle sadness, and she didn’t know how to hide her emotions, making it easy for others to glimpse her thoughts.
An Yin looked at him in surprise.
Her expression instantly betrayed her.
Meng Sihan: As expected, he had guessed correctly.
"Tell me," Meng Sihan said as he picked up a glass of wine from the table, his dark pupils revealing a hint of unmistakable melancholy.
An Yin lowered her head slowly, puzzled as to why it was so easy for the man to read her mind.
Considering she wasn’t very familiar with him, she thought that perhaps sharing her troubles might make her feel better, and at that moment, she let her guard down.
Summoning courage, An Yin spoke in a low, muffled voice, "Do you like any girls?"
Meng Sihan’s facial contours were well-defined and deep, with sharp edges and angles, and beneath his arching eyebrows, his eyes held a calm and composed light.
He hadn’t expected the young girl to start by asking him a question.
"No." Meng Sihan replied indifferently, as if it were a topic of no consequence.
"Then what I’m about to say, you might not understand." An Yin pouted, muttering like a little ostrich.
"You..." Meng Sihan was taken aback. The young girl seemed delicate and shy, yet her words carried a surprisingly hurtful weight.
After taking a deep breath, Meng Sihan gave her a sidelong glance, "Just because you haven’t eaten pork doesn’t mean you haven’t seen a pig run, have you? Spill it."
Finding the man clearly impatient, An Yin’s face flushed at his coarse words, stammering, "My friend said there’s a guy who is special towards me and even said he likes me."
The young girl spoke in a stuttered manner, making it sound vague, but if one listened carefully, the content wasn’t hard to grasp.
"Has that man expressed his love for you?"
His slightly arrogant face with slightly raised eyebrows carried a hint of sharpness between his brows.
"No." An Yin shook her head, her cheeks already blushed with two patches of red.
The young girl had an oval face, her eyebrows and eyes like a painting, her lines slender, exuding a delicate and charming aura, making one instinctively feel protective towards her.
"Men naturally have a possessiveness toward the women they like; if he hasn’t confessed, it indicates he has no interest."
