Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential
Chapter 192: Poison (6), Strike Back

Chapter 192: Poison (6), Strike Back

Jibril worked hard for almost an hour non-stop, draining herself and John both, before John’s condition finally got completely better, no more heating, and no more in pain.

Jibril tried to stand up, but her legs were jelly due to pure pleasure coursing through her. She just lay beside John and closed her eyes, wanting to sleep in this euphoria.

Yuna left the room since John got better, but was startled to see Azelis standing beside the door.

Yuna rolled her eyes. "I guess you were watching, but from outside."

"I was just sensing auras. It looks like John is fine now."

"Yeah."

"Well then, let’s continue the training."

"Yeah."

...

"Well, well, well. It was fun, I guess." Minera chuckled. "Let’s see how he overcomes the stronger effects next time."

[ Did you find anything about his rune when you invaded? ]

"I tried, but nope. But even though I invaded, I couldn’t sense anything other than his body. I couldn’t get out to observe his realm."

[ Understandable. It wasn’t going to be that easy, I knew. But they may have found out about our origin by now. That means they can come up with countermeasures. So we need information on them as well. ]

"I’ll do something about it when the poison flares up stronger next time. But..." Minera frowned as she sensed the number of devils decreasing. "This guy had already started counter-attacking us."

[ What happened? ]

"Tsk, things are getting tricky. I’ll have to get that bastard John under control faster."

While John had finally started sleeping peacefully, the Meity demon family and their four demon family allies, as well as Duraians, Ouroboros Hall, Dreamforged Guild, and Razorshade Syndicate had weeded out the devils from their forces, and informed the peak Sovereign-rank Tamers of other forces who were possessed about it, and even gave some devices since John had given them 480 devices, and they hadn’t use all of them.

Although there was tension amid the forces, the devil-possession was a more pressing concern as they were aghast to see the devil-possessed Tamers via the devices.

An enemy that spread like a virus, from one person to another, devouring their soul and replacing them with the devil-spawn was appalling.

This enemy of Mr. Sirius was killing them silently and taking over control of their Tamers!

After informing the Tamers of all forces who were clean, Sovitra arranged a meeting, making sure that none of the possessed people knew about their next moves, essentially keeping Minera in the dark.

John’s plan was already working.

Since Minera was secretly spreading her control, John decided to openly counter-attack because he knew the Tamers were never going to appreciate her silently-killing-devil-possessions.

The only thing John needed was to find Minera and have a confrontation because he doubted he would lose against her head-on.

He had a whole army of Monsters that could topple anything, and he could send out a large-scale, peak Legendary-rank attack of either Noctelith or Volkia at least once a day to change the tide instantly.

His own combat power was higher than his rank. Despite being at Emperor-rank, he could fold peak Sovereign-rank Monsters with ease with the combos of his Soul Techniques, Geno Abilities, and mastery of his strong attributes.

Even if peak Sovereign-rank Demons had higher stats than him, he could still shred them with ease and remain invincible thanks to his combat assets, which were superior.

...

John opened his eyes, feeling refreshed like never before.

He slept for ten hours, so Jibril had already woken up a few hours ago and left after cleaning everything.

The dream he initially had from the poison’s influence was gone, as it wasn’t registered in his memories.

The effects of the cocoon and healing tree had worn off several hours ago since he was healed.

Stretching his arms, John got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

After he came out, he finally noticed something. A lingering smell in the room was a bit familiar to him.

’Hmmm...’

A few seconds later, John dismissed the thought.

’Meh. Time to focus on work.’

John wanted to see how the weeding out of devils was going outside.

He also needed to find Minera’s location to deal with her.

He also needed to train his pets. Since everyone had reached Emperor-rank, it was time for Yuna, Jibril, and Max’s Pet Monsters to train, get two Geno Potential Bursts, and make them reach the peak of Emperor-rank by fighting and devouring cores of Emperor-rank Monsters.

John found the location of the gang, and as expected, they were in the training ground.

"Yo, John. We have already done one Gene Potential burst of our monsters by fighting here and increasing their Gene Potential. But everyone needs some real carnage combat now." Max grinned. "When are we going out?"

Azelis and others flew over upon seeing John, exchanging glances.

"Well, I was here just to tell you all that it’s time to go out. First, take these glasses."

John waved his hand, sending a magic glass to each of them.

"Drop a bit of your blood, and it will bind with you in your soul, giving an extra perceptive vision that will allow you to see if you are looking at a normal person or a devil-possessed one."

Everyone bound the glasses.

"Alright, now if you are ready, we can go out," John said, his eyes glinting. "First, I’ll send you all to the frontlines with one hundred peak Sovereign-rank Monsters. Gear up fully. Wear the top-tier Sovereign-rank armors and weapons you got."

"I’ll send you to the border where the camp of each force is situated. I want you to wander from one camp to another, killing monsters, but mainly, observing people. If I am right, the enemy could be surrounded by a bunch of devil-possessed people."

"Alright." Azelis nodded. "That’s a good plan."

’Should we tell him what happened? It looks like he isn’t aware of it.’ Yuna relayed to Azelis and Jibril.

’No! I mean...I don’t know.’ Jibril’s cheeks faintly turned red, but she quickly composed herself lest John notice something.

"I’ll be going out as Mr. Sirius to talk and see how my plan to weed out the devils went."

"Let’s go." John waved his hand as others had adorned the top-tier Sovereign-rank armor sets and weapons.

John went out with everyone, and his appearance had already turned into Mr. Sirius.

"What the hell is that?"

"Those...all of them are peak Sovereign-rank Monsters! Why are they all together in a formation?"

Everyone’s attention was first captured by the army of a hundred monsters flying in the sky while Azelis and others arrived on the ground.

The monsters were approaching borders every now and then, but there wasn’t much struggle as the calamity hadn’t started yet.

Azelis and others began their work as they began looking around to watch people with their soul eyes, using their attributes to give them various enhancements depending on their attributes for better and faster observation.

Meanwhile, John contacted Sovitra and others.

[ Sovitra: Mr. Sirius. You arrived at the perfect time. Come to the estate. We are having a meeting and we have some good news to share. ]

[ Mr. Sirius: Alright. ]

John went to the estate with a few telepors and soon arrived in the garden.

As he saw the people inside, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

There were two or three Sovereign-rank Tamers from all forces.

No one was possessed.

"Mr. Sirius, please sit."

John sat down at the large table with a nod.

"So, what’s the good news?"

"We have disabled a total of 378 Emperor-rank Tamers and 46 Sovereign-rank Tamers, all of whom were possessed in all forces. We just finished weeding them out and launched this meeting."

John blinked. ’Well, that’s good news indeed. Hmmm, so Azelis and others might not find any devil-possessed people.’

"That’s great news." Waving his hand, John opened the shop and quickly bought three hundred magic glasses to detect the devil-possessed.

"Here, spread them to all forces so that no more people get possessed, and if possessed, they can be swiftly dealt with."

John added with an assured smile. "Also, don’t worry about the loss of forces. As long as I am here, the calamity won’t go outside the calamity region."

He could see clear relief in the eyes of these Tamers at his words. ’Looks like they fully trust my capabilities.’

"We are glad to hear that. In fact, we had this meeting just to work together better and fight against the calamity. It seems it will arrive in two days."

’Two days?’ John internally frowned. ’Why so early? I still need three days to gather the damn Molding Essence to enter the Abyss Labyrinth.’

"It’s a bit earlier than we expected. I think something happened in the core of the calamity region that hastened it," The demon family head of the Thurnox family, responsible for observing the calamity signs, said.

"I see..." John’s lips twitched a bit. ’Could it be because of my rampage in the core area?’

"Alright. No worries. We will set up a grand formation with the flags I sold and two flags I got, which are higher in rank." John waved his hand, replacing the floor of the garden with Monster Paradise’s land and then creating synchronised screens in front of everyone, displaying the map.

"Let’s start planning for it."

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

Meanwhile, Azelis and others who were checking the territories of each camp could not find a single devil-possessed.

John didn’t inform them since there could still be some devil-possessed that were missed earlier.

...

"Damn it!" Minera grabbed the table and threw it at the wall. "They captured or killed all devil-possessed."

[ Seems like the case. He made use of them to eliminate our use of them."

"Screw him. I’m going all out in enhancing the poison."

Minera’s eyes coldly glinted.
