Chapter 557 - 557 In his eyes everyone looks the same

Chapter 557: In his eyes, everyone looks the same. Chapter 557: In his eyes, everyone looks the same. Returning to the hospital room, Victoria helped her sister Evelyn onto the bed to rest.

Hannah was still holding her anger in, “Sis, why is that old lady so annoying? Why does she think so poorly of people? She’s too hateful. Are you really going to marry into the Johnson Family? How will you live with such a mother-in-law?”

“I’m marrying Arnold, not his mother. Besides, I never thought of living with them or trying to please her.” For someone she would never be able to please, Victoria wouldn’t waste her efforts.

“But that’s still his mother. It’s not like you can completely cut ties with her.” Hannah felt uncomfortable, “A few days ago, I was so excited that you found such a great marriage, but now I don’t think it’s good at all.”

Victoria could understand her little sister’s childishness.

“You don’t know what that old witch said about Sister. Those words were really harsh, worse than a City Square shrew. I was so angry that I wanted to slap her. If Second Miss were here, with her fiery temper, she would’ve probably thrown a slap already.”

Victoria could guess what Grand Lady Johnson had said.

“Just avoid her in the future. There’s no point in reasoning with her; even when you have a point, it won’t be clear.” Victoria looked at her sister lying silently in bed, went over, and stroked her hair, “Evelyn, if you don’t want to stay here, I’ll get you a different room. Your main focus now is to recover from your injuries.”

“I don’t have anything to hide. Today, I just glanced at Frank Johnson. Both emotionally and rationally, I don’t think I did anything wrong.” Evelyn insisted.

Upon hearing her sister’s words, Victoria finally felt relieved, “As long as you think this way, I’ll be at ease.”

Her biggest worry was Evelyn’s personality, afraid that she’d keep everything to herself without speaking up.

“Sis, I want to study abroad for the rest of college.” Evelyn suddenly changed the topic.

Victoria looked at her sister in surprise, “Are you trying to escape?”

“No,” Evelyn shook her head, “I just want to become more mature and independent. Besides, our school has exchange students, so I’ll talk to our advisor later.”

Victoria asked, “Would you still go if this hadn’t happened?”

“Yes, but I was planning to wait another year. It’s just that because of this incident, I’ll go half a year earlier.” Evelyn answered firmly.

Looking at her sister’s determined gaze, Victoria thought that perhaps Evelyn was stronger than she had imagined.

“As long as you’ve thought it through and it’s something you want to do, I will support you!” Victoria gave an affirmative answer.

Hannah took the opportunity to join in, “Big sister, what about me? The thing I talked to you about last time, will you support me too?”

Victoria had been so busy lately that she had forgotten about it.

“I’ll decide whether to agree with your matter in a few days. Your idea is a bit extreme.”

“Where is the extreme part?” Hannah swayed Victoria’s hand, “Just promise me.”

“There’s still plenty of time; you don’t need to be so anxious.” Victoria’s biggest fear was that her “God” company would deceive Hannah.

Nowadays, there were all sorts of tactics for cheating people, and she had to be more cautious.

“It’s not too early, Sis. Just promise me! I won’t be able to sleep well at night until you make this decision.” Hannah made a pitiful face.

Seeing that she couldn’t resist her persistence, Victoria took out her phone and called someone directly.
