Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 515 - 515 Do you want to save 3
Chapter 515: Do you want to save 3? Chapter 515: Do you want to save 3? If they were to head down to Tempor City from Metropolis, that would take at least two and a half hours by car.
Victoria Garcia figured the other party wouldn’t give her two and a half hours, enough time for others to notice her disappearance. If she were them, she would choose to disembark after a half-hour drive.
Today’s meeting was at ten o’clock, and it was barely nine. Would Candy Foster notice anything odd during this time when she’d surely be glued to her phone?
Victoria thought the chances of Candy noticing were one in a hundred.
But if she were to disappear for two and a half hours, Candy would definitely notice. However, she suspected that the other side wouldn’t resort to such tactics.
If she couldn’t count on outside help, she’d have to rely on herself.
She glanced at her attire. Today, she was dressed in a light plaid suit under a short down jacket that was relatively light. If things came to blows, she should be able to hold her own.
At this moment, she once again found the utility in the little things that Sydney Bennett and Leah Chester taught her. If she survived this ordeal, she’d have to learn more of those skills.
Victoria’s gaze returned to the vehicle in the rearview mirror, a car that had been following her since she left the underground car park. She boldly hypothesized that the perpetrator, or their accomplice, could be in that car.
The only question was, was her sister in there too?
If she was, Victoria could potentially create an escape opportunity by causing a car accident.
Just as this idea crossed her mind, the voice on the phone spoke up again, “The car behind you is there to monitor you and your surroundings. As for your sister, she certainly wouldn’t be in the car. Even if she were, you wouldn’t dare to take the risk.”
“I heard that Miss Garcia is a good driver. I’ll give you twenty more minutes. Step on it! If you can’t get down from the highway within twenty minutes, how about I chop off one of your sister’s fingers?”
Upon hearing this, Victoria pressed down on the accelerator and shouted, “I warn you, don’t mess around.”
“If you don’t want things to get messy, then you best do as I say. Don’t try to buy time and hope someone will come to save you. That’s not going to happen this time.”
Victoria floored the accelerator, keeping her eyes on the road as she speculated, “Which side are you on? The Johnson Old Mansion?”
“Don’t worry, I will tell you when you’re about to die.”
The other party went silent again.
At this moment, all Victoria was focused on was accelerating. She had no other thoughts.
After all, her sister’s welfare and life were more important than anything else.
Before twenty minutes passed, Victoria had exited the highway. The voice spoke again, “Exit the highway and proceed straight on Linmoor Road. Take a left at the second traffic light. I’ll be waiting for you nearby.”
Victoria drove for ten minutes along Linmoor Road before making the left at the second traffic light. It was a remote road with hardly any other vehicles. The further she drove, the more remote it became.
After another ten minutes, the voice spoke again, “You can get out of the car now with your phone. Follow my instructions and you will see your sister.”
Victoria hesitated. If she got out of the car, she would be fully at their mercy.
It wasn’t that she was afraid of death; she just needed a guarantee before that happened. “I need to talk to my sister right now. If I can’t speak with her, I won’t get out of the car.”
Victoria believed that since she had come this far, the other party would surely let her talk to her sister. Why would they easily give up on a prize they already had in their grasp?
