Chapter 509: Is it him? Chapter 509: Is it him? Arnold Johnson didn’t hide Edward Hernandez’s existence.

“Who exactly is Edward Hernandez?” Victoria Garcia couldn’t help but ask.

Arnold replied, “His background seems to be very clean. He is the son of a wealthy businessman in Southea Country whose family primarily deals in rubber. They are among the top three richest families in Southea Country.”

“Southea Country? I don’t think I’ve ever interacted with people from there, and I don’t have any relatives there either,” Victoria couldn’t help but ask again, “Did he grow up in Southea Country?”

“He basically grew up there, but his father often took him on business trips all over the world. So, Metropolis is also a place he frequents.”

“Then, do you think it’s him?” This was what Victoria wanted to know the most, and at the same time, what Arnold wanted to know as well.”

“To be honest, I’m really confused, but there’s one thing I’m certain of: the way he looks at you is different.” Arnold couldn’t quite express the feeling – was it love? Or simply possession?

Victoria couldn’t help but remember some of the things Edward had said to her.

But deep in her heart, there was a voice of resistance, “I just feel like it’s not him.”

“Why do you feel that way?” Arnold asked further.

Victoria closed her eyes briefly, then opened them and said seriously, “It’s hard to explain the feeling, but I think his gaze seems more sincere. He doesn’t seem like the type of person who would have such strong possessive desires. I feel that anyone capable of putting me under this kind of hypnosis must have a somewhat twisted heart, otherwise, they wouldn’t be so cruel. If I really went that far too often, it would cause severe harm to my body. A man who could possess me in such a selfish and ruthless manner must have a dark heart.”

“Sometimes, all you see is the surface. You think he’s sincere, but maybe deep down, he’s using that sincerity to deceive you,” Arnold didn’t like listening to Victoria praising another man, even if it was just analyzing a situation.

“Are you still jealous?” Victoria couldn’t help but laugh.

“You can tell?” Arnold didn’t mind admitting his jealousy.

Victoria smiled and said, “I have Fiery Eyes and Clear Vision, so I can clearly see who’s a demon and who’s a monster.”

“Then tell me, am I a demon or a monster?” After saying that, Arnold leaned his head closer so she could get a better look.

Victoria took Arnold’s face in her hands, studying it with interest, “Thick and shapely eyebrows, a strong and wide nose, lips neither thin nor thick, and as for the face shape, it’s the standard handsome type. Fiery Eyes and Clear Vision tell me, you’re not only a demon, but also a monster!”

Seeing Victoria speak so seriously made Arnold laugh.

“So tell me, how am I a demon, and how am I a monster?”

“It’s a top secret!” Victoria finished speaking and pushed Arnold away, laughing as she rolled back onto the bed and pulled the covers over her head.

Arnold dived after her, lifting the covers and wiggling his way in as well.

Victoria suddenly felt a pair of hands tickle her. She immediately broke into laughter and begged loudly, “Please…please let me go…”

“No!”

“Please…” Victoria laughed hysterically while pleading, “I’m begging you, please, please stop…”

As her soft, whimpering pleas left her lips, Arnold felt a sudden shiver and a raging desire ignited within him…
