Chapter 486 - 486 Is my child still there 2
Chapter 486: Is my child still there? 2 Chapter 486: Is my child still there? 2 Aubree Field was extremely frightened, having never been so terrified in her life. She felt that she was still bleeding down there, and if the blood couldn’t be stopped, she definitely wouldn’t be able to save her child.
“Alexander Mitchell, please take me to the hospital quickly! There is a child in my belly!”
As Aubree spoke, her hand clenched tightly onto Alexander’s, like she was grasping at a lifeline.
Upon hearing her words, Alexander looked down and saw his own hand was a bit sticky, stained by some blood. What had happened to her?
“You… you’re pregnant? How did this happen?” Alexander’s eyes were filled with disbelief and confusion.
Aubree growled in response, “Hurry up and take me to the hospital!”
“Oh, okay…” Alexander was completely bewildered by the news. He tried starting the car, but he discovered that it was stuck and couldn’t be started.
Alexander had no choice but to get out of the car and carry Aubree out.
Upon stepping out of the car, Aubree felt an icy, bone-chilling wind which caused her to shiver uncontrollably.
Alexander sensed the change in her body and without uttering a word, he quickly put her back into the car and nervously comforted her, “Stay in the car for now, I’ll go find another one.”
“Okay, but hurry up, please don’t leave me behind. Please don’t abandon me!” Aubree was truly afraid. She was scared that Alexander would leave her to find Victoria. If that happened, she wouldn’t be able to save her child.
Alexander gripped her hand tightly, reassuring her, “Don’t worry, I won’t be such a heartless jerk. Just calm down and lie down properly.”
With that, Alexander reclined the seat so that Aubree could lie down and rest.
After closing the car door, Alexander walked to the side of the road to wait for a car while he dialed a driver’s number, preparing for both possibilities.
Reaching the roadside, he was greeted with nothing but fog, making it impossible to see any cars.
Alexander couldn’t help but feel frightened. He had no time to think about how Aubree had gotten pregnant, he just wanted to quickly find a car.
Suddenly, Alexander realized that he had dialed the wrong number. He dialed the emergency number 120 again, and luckily, it connected quickly. He reported their location and mentioned that the injured person was a pregnant woman.
Meanwhile, Alexander continued to wait for a car at the intersection, but it seemed like it was taking forever for one to arrive.
He decided to head back to check on Aubree, fearing that she was emotionally unstable at the moment.
As expected, upon reaching the car, Aubree couldn’t stop crying, grabbing his hand and sobbing, “Alexander, what should I do? My belly hurts, and I keep on bleeding.”
“My child, what should I do about my child? I don’t want to lose him. He can already move in my belly and seems to understand what I’m saying. He even blows bubbles when he plays…”
Alexander held her hand tightly, telling her, “Leah, believe in yourself and the child’s strong vitality. Nothing will happen to him, absolutely nothing.”
“Really? Will everything be alright?” Aubree asked fearfully and anxiously, “Has the car not arrived yet?”
“I called the driver and also dialed 120. Even if there are no cars on the roadside, the nearest 120 ambulance should be here soon.” Alexander had never felt that Aubree needed protection so badly. At this moment, he just wanted to give her more strength. “Don’t worry, it will arrive soon. I’ll be with you all the way.”
He held Aubree’s hand tightly, hoping to give her even more strength. He wanted her to be aware of his presence, so she wouldn’t feel so helpless and alone.
