Victoria was wearing a camel-coloured coat with a wide black scarf around her neck. Once inside, she took off her coat, revealing a simple black knitted dress underneath. The combination of the fabric and the cut of the dress fit her figure perfectly. Her three-quarter sleeves exposed a section of her wrist, making her skin appear even more delicate against the black.

“What kind of coffee do you like?” Skylar asked.

“I don’t know much about coffee, and I already had breakfast, so if there’s something going on, we can keep it simple.” Victoria did not want to waste too much time here.

Skylar laughed, “You’re really quite straightforward. However, I did ask you for a reason.”

“Alright, I’m all ears,” Victoria said attentively.

“You’re a very special woman, no wonder he likes you so much and takes care of you,” Skylar remarked in a leisurely manner.

Victoria wasn’t sure what Skylar meant and asked directly, “Did Miss Morgan come just to praise me?”

“Praising you is just one of the reasons,” Skylar replied, her eyes lively as she laughed, a change from her usual charisma.

“I’m listening to the other reason.” Victoria glanced at the time; in half an hour, she had an important meeting to attend, so she didn’t want to waste too much time.

“Actually, I’m here to tell you a secret,” Skylar said, looking at her with a touch of mystery in her eyes.

Victoria remained calm, not saying anything and waiting for her to continue.
