Chapter 272 - 272 Damaged Show
Chapter 272: Damaged Show Chapter 272: Damaged Show Upon returning to Metropolis, Victoria Garcia immediately immersed herself in her busy work.
The new season’s fall-winter press conference was to be held in just three days.
Fortunately, the preparations for this event were almost completed before her trip to Paris. Though time was tight, the new products to be presented had already been decided upon.
This time, the main focus was on lace embroidery and environmentally friendly fur. The embroidery was handmade, stitch by stitch, by the Handicraft Masters at Green City Old Factory. The environmentally friendly fur was made using the highest-end domestic machines, without harming a single animal, and the finished product was even more exquisite.
This had always been Victoria’s principle: to produce fur products without spilling a drop of blood.
As the products for the press conference were mainly high-end custom designs, they were targeted at a high-end clientele, and therefore cost was not a primary consideration; the goal was simply to make them as high-quality as possible.
When the finished products were laid out in front of Victoria one by one, all she could think was how truly beautiful they were!
Women inherently find it difficult to say no to exquisite items.
Looking at the embroidered items, Victoria couldn’t help but think of her own mother. Her mother’s embroidery was the best Victoria had ever seen, and their house is now filled with many such pieces.
An idea flashed across her mind, and Victoria made up her mind to do it.
She would hold an embroidery exhibition in her mother’s name because it would be such a waste if those beautiful pieces simply remained piled up at home.
Candy Foster’s arrival interrupted Victoria’s thoughts.
“General Garcia, everything is ready,” Candy reported.
“Are the backups prepared as well?” Victoria asked.
“Yes, they’re all set.”
“Keep the backups in a separate location and don’t tell anyone else. You and Emily Nelson are the only ones who need to know,” Victoria said casually.
“Understood,” Candy responded, then continued: “If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving now.”
“Wait a moment,” Victoria called out to Candy.
“Yes, what is it?”
Victoria relayed to Candy her idea of hosting an embroidery exhibition in her mother’s name.
“Don’t worry. I’ll find a suitable location as quickly as possible.”
“Alright, thank you for your hard work.”
Candy smiled and replied, “It’s my duty.”
The two exchanged smiles, and Candy exited Victoria’s office.
The three days passed in a flash, and the press conference took place as scheduled at the National Conference Centre in Metropolis.
Victoria was standing offstage, waiting for the show to begin, when someone approached her and whispered in her ear: “Vice President Garcia, we just discovered that the clothes have somehow been stained with ink. The models don’t have anything to wear backstage. What should we do?”
The person speaking was Sophie Chester, the chief planner and director responsible for the event.
“We have twenty minutes until the show starts. Have you thought of a solution?” Victoria calmly asked.
Sophie naturally showed extreme anxiety, apologizing profusely, “I really don’t know how this happened. The items were fine when I checked them before they were transported, but they were ruined when I opened them.”
“Someone must be sabotaging us. I’m already looking for the person responsible by checking the video records. Once we find them, I’ll hand them over to Vice President Garcia for disposal.”
“Do you think dealing with this person is more important right now, or completing the show?” Victoria asked, looking straight at her.
“But…” Sophie said desperately: “The models don’t have any clothes to wear. How can we continue with the show? Vice President Garcia, please give us a solution.”
