Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 198 - 198 Accept your fate 3
Chapter 198: Accept your fate 3 Chapter 198: Accept your fate 3 Victoria Garcia clenched her fists tightly, standing silently opposite Clara Brown.
“Accept your fate!” Clara folded her arms, looking at her.
After a moment of silence, Victoria slowly unclenched her fists and looked directly at Clara.
“Give me a week to consider. If I agree, I will announce my withdrawal from the group at the board meeting next week, becoming a shareholder not involved in the group’s affairs.” Victoria continued, “These photos and videos will stay with me. I need to have someone verify their authenticity.”
“Ok, I agree.” Clara said cheerfully, “I’ll give you the photos and videos. I have the originals at my place, so feel free to check them, they are genuine and can withstand scrutiny.”
“Now, get out of here, immediately!” Victoria said without a friendly look on her face.
“I understand your anger, but there’s nothing I can do about your mother being that kind of person,” Clara shamelessly continued. “You inherently think your mom is noble and aloof while I’m shameful and shameless, but in the end, you find out your mom isn’t much better than me, haha…”
“Get out!” Victoria roared angrily.
Seeing that Victoria was almost at her limit, Clara stopped provoking her. She walked out of Victoria’s office with her high-heeled steps and enchanting gait.
Victoria sat down in her office chair, feeling a little powerless, and put her hands on her forehead.
Until this moment, Victoria did not believe that those videos were real, even though they seemed true. She believed that her mother must have had some difficulties.
As Victoria was lost in thought, Candy Foster called from an internal line to urge her, “General Garcia, there are only five minutes left before the board meeting begins, do you need me to come in and pick you up?”
“No need, I’ll go by myself,” Victoria replied.
“Alright, I have all the materials prepared,” Candy reported.
“No need for that now.”
Before Candy could ask why, Victoria said, “Leave it like this for now.”
With that, she hung up the internal line.
After adjusting her emotions a little, Victoria left her office and headed to the Board of Directors’ conference room. As she walked in, all she could see was a sea of people.
Victoria found her seat and sat down.
Terry Garcia was the last to arrive, looking radiant and confident, discussing the company’s upcoming business with optimism.
Victoria couldn’t hear a single word he said.
Clara must have Terry’s support in coming to her. What a shameless man Terry was, so despicable that he couldn’t even bear his own daughter. And yet, he was living such a carefree life. God was really blind!
Victoria didn’t pay attention to the meeting. She was like a bystander; nobody talked to her or asked her how things were going in Green City.
Terry didn’t mention it, and Victoria didn’t bring it up herself. All the directors had become mute about the previously agreed-upon Green City Old Factory project.
Victoria realized that, even as the vice-president, she had a lot of interpersonal matters to deal with.
Letting her give up, impossible!
As long as she thought about how happy those disgusting people like Terry and Clara were living, Victoria couldn’t give up the hard-won opportunity.
One week was enough time to do many things.
However they calculated against her, Victoria would return it all back to them.
When she walked out of the board meeting, Victoria went back to her office and called Alan. When the call connected, Alan’s voice came through, “Miss Garcia, if you have anything you need me to do, please don’t hesitate to ask.”
