Chapter 175: He is not a good person 2 Chapter 175: He is not a good person 2 Clifford Carter drank a few more sips of coffee and told himself calmly that this woman was different from the others and he couldn’t be too hasty.

The two seemed to be comparing patience, and until Clifford Carter finished his coffee, Victoria Garcia just focused on her files.

He wanted to know if she was genuinely not noticing him, or if she was pretending.

After all, Clifford Carter was a rich, handsome playboy – the kind that would make any woman give a second glance. He simply did not believe that Victoria Garcia had no interest in him.

Twenty minutes later, Clifford Carter admitted defeat when he finished his cup of coffee.

Victoria Garcia closed her files and said in a business-like manner, “Mr. Carter, can we talk about it now?”

“It seems you don’t want to leave any private topics for me to discuss.”

“Our relationship is strictly professional, and discussing private matters is not appropriate.”

Clifford Carter changed his tune while staying on topic, “Miss Garcia is right. The office is only suitable for discussing work-related matters. Why don’t we go somewhere more relaxed and chat while we unwind?”

“If that’s the case, I’ll be busy for a while. My assistant will show you out later.” Victoria Garcia simply closed the conversation without politeness.

Clifford Carter had never met a woman who could be so decisive and leave no face for others.

But this kind of woman only made him want to conquer her even more.

“Our company’s financial situation is this bad, yet you don’t care? Don’t you want to figure out how I can solve your financial problems? You should know that I’m the best person to help you right now. Are you not afraid of annoying me if you let me walk away so easily?” Clifford Carter said in one breath.

He had gathered some information about Victoria Garcia during these days and knew that her mission here was to compete for a position at Headquarters. The survival of the Old Factory was clearly important to her.

It was this aspect that made Clifford Carter believe he had a ninety-eight percent chance of winning her over.

Victoria Garcia stared back coldly, replying, “Does Mr. Carter think that someone in my situation would treat him like a lifesaver and be completely submissive to him?”

“I’d like to think so, but now I see that Miss Garcia is not that kind of person after all,” Clifford Carter intervened.

Victoria Garcia said indifferently, “As long as you understand.”

“I came here today naturally wanting to help you,” Clifford Carter said slowly, “But in business, I help you and you help me. It’s a win-win situation if we both benefit. Isn’t that how it works?”

“In that case, just say what you want me to help with,” Victoria Garcia’s hands gently crossed and continued, “If I can do it, we will have a pleasant cooperation. If I can’t, we can each go our separate ways.”

“I want someone from your factory,” Clifford Carter’s hand moved slightly under his nose, “Give me this person and I’ll provide the funds your factory needs.”

“Who?”

He looked into her eyes and noticed her subtly curved smile that made people want to kiss her even when she wasn’t laughing.

His gaze shifted to her plump, pink lips that seemed to beg for a kiss that wouldn’t end. He wondered what surprises awaited him when his lips cracked her smile wider.

As these thoughts entered his mind, he grew impatient and said, “The person I want is you!”
