Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 173 - 173 If I treat you like this too 4

Chapter 173: If I treat you like this too, 4 Chapter 173: If I treat you like this too, 4 Alexander Mitchell was slightly taken aback by Victoria Garcia’s sudden question.

“As long as you’re willing, he naturally won’t have a chance. No one can force you,” Alexander confidently said.

Victoria pointed to the folder and said to Alexander, “Do you really think money can stump Arnold Johnson? The only reason I’m going through this process and facing financial difficulties is that I don’t want to bother him. I just want to prove myself. If things get tough, he will naturally be my last resort.”

Seeing him lost in thought, Victoria continued, “I can also tell you the truth: Arnold won’t give you this opportunity, and neither will I.”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t love you,” Victoria calmly said, word by word, “Every word I say is true.”

“If we meet again, I hope we don’t bring up these old topics. If we do, we can only become strangers.” With that, Victoria picked up the folder and said indifferently, “I’ll find another way to handle the funding issue. You should rest well. I’m leaving now.”

After saying that, Victoria didn’t glance at him again and turned to leave.

Alexander didn’t chase after her. He sat on the ground with his head in his hands, collapsing as Victoria’s words echoed in his mind: Because I don’t love you… Because I don’t love you…

Driving her car, Victoria’s thoughts were not as rational as she imagined.

Even so, she thought, Alexander must be in unbearable pain at this moment.

However, this process was inevitable.

No matter what, it was impossible for her and Alexander to be together. She never thought that anything would happen between them, but the good times they once had and the affection he showed her were nonetheless genuine.

Even if it wasn’t love, it still left a mark after the experience.

Alexander was the only person Victoria had ever considered to be a potential boyfriend. It’s just that there was ultimately one step missing between them.

One step short, and they are worlds apart.

Soon, Victoria returned to the office at the Old Factory.

As soon as she entered the office, Candy Foster came to greet her.

“General Garcia, there’s a man named Mr. Carter waiting for you in the conference room. Do you want to see him? If not, I’ll send him away.”

Mr. Carter?

It took Victoria a while to recall that he was one of the corporate representatives at the Green City Restaurant that night.

“Did he say what he’s here for?” Victoria asked her.

Candy Foster truthfully reported, “He only said he’s here to help the factory resolve financial issues, nothing else.”

Victoria sneered, muttering, “It seems that word of our factory’s lack of funds has spread far and wide. Even businesses unrelated to us can clearly know about it.”

Candy didn’t respond but asked her again, “So, do you want to see him?”

“Since he’s come to us, let’s see him and find out how he plans to solve our financial problems.” Victoria said indifferently.

Candy responded, “He’s in Conference Room 4. I’ll accompany you there.”

This time, Candy didn’t ask if she needed her to accompany her, she just directly offered.

Victoria didn’t refuse her.

After drinking a glass of water, Victoria headed toward Conference Room 4.

Candy closely followed her.

As the two walked toward the conference room, countless sideways glances were cast at them from the seemingly serious office.

Just as they were about to reach Conference Room 4, Emily Nelson appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of Victoria.
