Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 154 - 154 Descend to Green City

Chapter 154: Descend to Green City Chapter 154: Descend to Green City Victoria Garcia, along with Candy Foster and two staff members assigned to her by the company, set off for Green City.

No one spoke during the journey.

The company assigned them two people, one named Mason Lewis and the other named Rose Lee. The two of them seemed to understand each other well and didn’t say much because they had already received “guidance” from their superiors on their way there. They were told to understand their position and seize every opportunity to advance rapidly in the company, and this was one such opportunity.

What they meant implicitly, was to keep a close eye on Victoria’s every move.

Indeed, their main purpose for coming to Green City was singular: to monitor and report any information regarding Victoria’s actions, and to take necessary measures to carry out their work tasks when the time came.

As they entered Green City, Victoria took the initiative to speak, and she was very straightforward about it.

“Mason Lewis, Rose Lee, I presume you both know my situation, and I, more or less, understand your positions. As long as you follow me and don’t go too far, I will not let you suffer any harm. However…” Victoria’s gaze shifted towards the two of them, and she spoke rather rudely, “I am not some cat or dog that can be slaughtered at will, so you should put away those ideas.”

“Miss Garcia, I won’t do anything like that. Since I have followed you here, I am on your side and will not think of anything else.” Mason Lewis quickly clarified his position, though it was unclear whether his words were true or not.

Victoria glanced at him and continued, “When you were assigned to come with me, your superiors must have given you instructions, right? Even though I don’t have any experience in these matters, it doesn’t mean I’m clueless. I’ll be clear with you now—if you report anything you shouldn’t, be prepared to be fired from the company.”

“Even if I am lacking competence, it’s a piece of cake to fire you.”

Both of them couldn’t help but look at her differently.

Victoria continued to apply pressure on them, “Don’t think that just because I fail, I won’t be able to do anything to you. At the very least, I am still a shareholder in the company. If I fail, I can make sure you won’t last long in the company. When that time comes, do you think those above would sacrifice you two to keep the peace, or raise a big fuss for your sake? You should understand what the decision would be if you had any sense.”

Rose Lee frowned, clenching her fists. She knew from the beginning that this was a thankless task—difficult to do well and hard to avoid doing poorly.

“Miss Garcia, I don’t quite understand.”

Victoria knew what they were hesitating about, what they were afraid of, and what they desired.

“Let me put it this way—if you follow me wholeheartedly, I promise your future position and treatment in the company will be secure. If you don’t give up on siding with me, prepare to be kicked out of the company.” Victoria looked at them intently and enunciated every word, “In such matters, there isn’t much room for compassion.”

“What if you fail?” Mason Lewis asked.

Of course, this was also a question Rose Lee wanted to ask.

“If I fail, you can stay in the company if you wish, and I don’t think your superiors would object. If you don’t want to stay in the company, I will arrange for you to work in another company, guaranteeing that your treatment there will be better than it is now.”

Mason Lewis and Rose Lee looked at each other and fell silent once more.

Victoria didn’t have much patience left, “If you can’t come to terms with this, there is still one more path you can take.”

“Which path?” Rose Lee asked.

Victoria smiled and replied, “Pack up your things and leave now!”
