Chapter 1229 - 1229 Her crying is for another reason 3
Chapter 1229: Her crying is for another reason 3. Chapter 1229: Her crying is for another reason 3. Grayson Thomas was fully aware that since Richard Robinson wanted something this time, it surely wasn’t something ordinary.
However.
He didn’t know what Richard wanted, but as long as he could afford it, Grayson would naturally give it to him.
After all, nothing was more important than his daughter’s well-being.
Hearing Grayson’s straightforward response, Richard’s voice became even more pleasant, “Young Master is indeed a straightforward person.”
“Since Young Master is so straightforward, I won’t beat around the bush with you. I want one of the Collins Family’s subsidiaries under your control.”
As soon as Richard spoke, Grayson was somewhat surprised, “I didn’t expect Third Master Robinson to have such ability, to find out so quickly that I was the one behind the acquisition of the Collins Family. You’ve really made me see you in a new light.”
“I’m truly honored to have made Young Master see me in a new light,” Richard said sincerely, and then added, “Young Master really impresses me, not making a move until it counts, and when you do, it’s always such a grand gesture. The way you’ve played this game is truly beautiful.”
“I hope my request won’t cause any resentment in Young Master’s heart.”
Richard added one last sentence. Although he had his own means and abilities, he did not want to oppose Young Master—at least not now, because he did not yet have the strength to do so.
“We are talking about a trade, I will naturally have no hard feelings,” Grayson said.
Hearing this, Richard asked with a smile, “Does this mean Young Master agrees?”
“Of course, I will give you the subsidiary you want. I hope we can complete this matter quickly, and then you will give me the information about my daughter’s mother,” Grayson agreed without hesitation.
“Good, as soon as our contract is signed, I will tell you immediately who the child’s mother is,” Richard said with a smile.
Grayson couldn’t wait that long, he said directly, “Good, let’s meet tomorrow morning at nine.”
Richard, surprised by Grayson’s urgency, and realizing it must be an especially pressing matter for him to give up such a significant asset so readily, agreed with a smile, “Okay.”
After hanging up the phone, Grayson called his Assistant, instructing him to prepare the transfer contract for one of the Collins Family’s subsidiaries, so that they could sign with Richard the following day.
The Assistant was surprised, but upon hearing Grayson’s commanding tone brooking no refusal or questioning, he immediately replied, “I’ll get on it right away, I won’t let you down.”
Not until he had taken care of these matters did Grayson return to his room.
Inside, his daughter’s heart-wrenching cries continued. Grayson walked over to the nanny, took his daughter from her arms, and soothed her, “Baby, don’t cry… don’t cry… Daddy’s here… Daddy’s here for you… don’t be scared… Daddy will solve all your problems and difficulties… don’t cry, don’t cry… my precious baby…”
Grayson’s gentle voice repeated over and over again.
But the little girl kept crying non-stop.
Seeing her in such discomfort, her little face all red, her bright eyes brimming with tears, Grayson felt as if his heart was breaking.
At that moment, even if someone asked him to trade all of his possessions, he would probably do so without hesitation, just hoping his precious baby wouldn’t have to suffer any more pain!
That night was endlessly long. His daughter cried for a very long time, only falling into a light sleep from exhaustion, and then waking up again to resume crying…
Over and over, Grayson stayed with her the whole night, not closing his eyes once.
To be exact, it had been three nights now since he had barely slept, awakening immediately whenever his daughter cried!
