Chapter 1217 - 1217 Garcias child 6
Chapter 1217: Garcia’s child 6 Chapter 1217: Garcia’s child 6 Looking at the nurse’s evasive eyes and her fearful demeanor,
Mia Garcia could not help but find it laughably absurd, yet why were tears streaming down her face continually?
“Such things, as time goes on and you slowly come to terms with them, you’ll start to feel better,” the nurse tried to speak to Mia Garcia with as much composure as possible—she was genuinely afraid that Mia Garcia might do something impulsive.
Mia Garcia, looking at the nurse’s face, suddenly said calmly, “Get out, I want to be alone for a while!”
“Are you sure you can be by yourself?” the nurse confirmed with her.
Mia Garcia roared, “Get lost! I told you to get lost!”
Observing her contorted face, the nurse fled from the hospital room as if escaping; such a mad woman deserved to be looked down upon by her mother-in-law.
No sooner had the nurse left than the door was pushed open again.
Thinking the nurse had returned, Mia was ready to launch into a tirade when she heard Clara Brown’s voice instead.
“Mia, what has happened to you?” Clara Brown hurried to Mia’s bedside with three steps merging into two.
Faced with the sudden arrival of her mother, Mia’s heart harbored not a hint of comfort, only a mounting sense of vexation.
“Why are you here?” That was Mia’s immediate reaction.
Clara Brown blurted out, “Your mother-in-law informed me, said you were in the hospital and not well, and she asked me to come and keep you company. As soon as I heard your health was poor, I rushed right over.”
“Tell me what exactly happened. Was it your mother-in-law who upset you? Is the baby still okay?” Clara Brown rambled on, “I’m telling you, no matter how upset you are, you have to relax. You need to think about the child inside you. The happier you are, the happier and healthier your baby will grow. The better your baby grows, the more beautiful your turnabout will be, do you understand?”
It seemed like Patrick Taylor hadn’t told her mother anything at all.
Was this about having her mother accompany her or having Clara Brown aggravate her? Seems like Patrick Taylor wanted her to suffer the grief of losing her child and endure these additional grievances.
In that moment, Mia became even more convinced that all of this must have been Patrick Taylor’s doing—extending to the fact that she would never have children again; it must have been him instructing the doctors to make certain of that.
It must be so! Mia clenched her teeth with a menacing glint in her eyes.
This heartless woman!
She had not anticipated that her malice would stretch far enough to not even give her the chance to give birth to the child. Mia hated herself for being too naive to believe Patrick Taylor would wait until the child was born before taking action!
“Mia, what is wrong with you? Say something!” Clara Brown became anxious as she looked at the silent yet grimacing Mia.
Hearing her mother’s words, Mia glared coldly at Clara Brown and said, “Mom, I’m telling you now, I lost the child, and I won’t ever be able to have children again. Does that disappoint you?”
“What?” Clara Brown leaped up, “How is that possible? Your child was almost six months along, well past the risky period, and your health has been fine. The prenatal examinations showed no issues. How could it suddenly be gone?”
“Yes, just gone. We’re both doomed!” Mia suddenly felt like laughing Again.
Observing the succession of insincere faces was truly disheartening.
“But what do we do now? Without a child, how will the Collins Family deal with you? You need to think ahead, make sure you don’t get the short end of the stick; we can’t afford to be at a disadvantage!” Clara Brown murmured incessantly.
