Chapter 1202 - 1202 Clara Browns utter shamelessness 5
Chapter 1202: Clara Brown’s utter shamelessness 5 Chapter 1202: Clara Brown’s utter shamelessness 5 After Clara Brown had a change of heart, she placed another call to Mia Garcia.
After several rings, Mia pressed down her anger and answered the call, probably expecting Clara to have an answer for her.
“Mia, Mom has thought it through. Since this is all you’re capable of, I’ll go along with your plan. I won’t make things difficult for you anymore, and you shouldn’t hate Mom either, okay?” Clara thought she said it smoothly, without an ounce of shame, as though all she had said was from her perspective, and she truly believed it was reasonable.
Mia sneered inwardly. Not make things difficult? Not hate her?
Right now, she wished Clara would just die in a car accident immediately! That impulsive thought flared up in Mia’s mind like a spark.
But soon.
It was extinguished.
“Then how can I trust that you will destroy those videos?” Mia asked.
“You can rest assured,” Clara promised. “I’m your mother, I would never be so shameless as to keep those video clips. I only filmed them because I thought they were rather good-looking, with no other intentions.”
“Is there any mother more despicable than you in this world?” Mia mocked coldly with a laugh.
Clara let out a chuckle, “Mia, don’t talk about your mother like that. There are mothers in this world who have abandoned their children, sold their daughters to be pornographic actors… compared to them, I am still relatively kind, am I not?”
Such words, probably only Clara could utter them.
Once a woman starts to have no shame, she truly could do anything.
And Clara was just that kind of woman.
Mia didn’t respond and just hung up the phone.
At this moment, even hearing Clara speak for one more second made her feel as disgusted as if she were eating flies.
Looking at her own angry face in the mirror after hanging up, Mia acknowledged it wasn’t a likeable expression—most men wouldn’t fancy such a face.
At the same time, she was pondering how to arrange Clara’s affairs, and how she would survive among the Collins Family.
Clara certainly was disgusting and unreliable, but Mia agreed with one thing—getting Eric Collins to protect her was essential, and then she could handle Patrick Taylor through him.
Now, that was the only path she had left to take.
Within the Collins family, only Mia or Patrick could live, and she didn’t want to die, so Patrick had to. She had to strike first; otherwise, once the baby was born and she became irrelevant, her end would be near.
Once again, looking at herself in the mirror, Mia forced a smile, trying to appear beautifully charming.
Glancing at her belly, five months along—the baby was in a relatively safe period.
Eric probably hadn’t been with a woman for a long time, and she wondered if he had thought of her recently. Even if he hadn’t, she had to find a way to bring herself back to his mind.
While Mia was thinking about how to secretly liaise with Eric within the Collins household, Eric was in the company, striving to salvage the Collins Family business.
Though the stock price hadn’t plummeted, the steady decline was even more heart-wrenching and frightening. Coupled with allegations of copyright disputes over the new season’s products, tight cash flow, and the banks’ scant loans, all this left Eric extremely stressed.
His temper grew worse by the day, ever more severe…
