Chapter 1122 - 1122 Home Taste 2
Chapter 1122: Home Taste 2 Chapter 1122: Home Taste 2 Hannah Garcia laughed and said, “Because it feels most like home to eat this in the winter.”
Upon hearing the word “home,” it felt as though something grazed across both their hearts.
Hannah glanced at Master Thomas and continued, “When we were little and my mom was still with us, on freezing Metropolis mornings, she liked to boil a pot of kelp soup and wrap up steamed buns. The four Garcia Sisters would eat up everything Mom prepared and go off to school.”
“Of course, Second Miss would always try to snatch them from me. If I was a bit slow, I’d end up with one less steamed bun. Back then, I’d always complain that she didn’t look out for her little sister at all, saying how I was still growing and she should let me eat. But whatever I missed out on, my eldest sister would always save an extra one for me.”
“When the break came, Sister would sneak to my classroom with some cookies or something and tell me to eat up quickly for growth! Only later did I learn that Sister could always find a way to get some snacks to satisfy my cravings. After growing up, I asked her why she always had to compete with me for food, and she said that it only tasted good if she fought for it. If it wasn’t for my pretty face, she wouldn’t bother competing with me at all. She even secretly told me that she never fought with my eldest sister or Sister for their food because neither of them was as pretty as me.”
Hannah’s thoughts seemed to drift into a warm and sweet reminiscence.
Master Thomas knew a bit about the Garcia Sisters’ stories, but he was never one to meddle in others’ business, especially stuff that wasn’t his concern.
Watching the smile forming at the corners of her mouth, he felt a sudden softness in his heart.
“Since you like it so much, I’ll bring you here again when it’s winter,” Young Master blurted out.
At those words, Hannah’s face lit up with a smile, “God, really?”
“Hmm,” he was a man of his word.
“How annoying, summer has just passed, winter is so far away!” Hannah couldn’t help but complain, then immediately asked, “Then how about we make it a date to come here for breakfast on the Start of Winter, is that okay?”
“Sure,” since he had promised, there was no reason to back out.
Well, he actually thought that this breakfast did feel rather warm.
Hannah left cheerfully after saying goodbye to the Boss Lady.
“Welcome to come again!”
“Hmm, I will definitely come back with my God!” Hannah responded with a laugh.
Robinson Family.
When Gwen Collins awoke, she just sat on the bed, lost in thought.
On the Wedding Night, her husband hadn’t slept in the room, and before he left, they had set out clear rules.
First: He would not touch her until he fell in love with her.
Second: They would not share a room until he fell in love with her.
Third: Until he fell in love with her, their marriage would be in name only.
She was dumbfounded on the spot and asked him, “Why?”
Richard Robinson explained, “That’s what a marriage without love looks like. If you’re not happy, we can divorce anytime!”
“…”
Gwen felt as though she had suddenly woken up from a dream.
Not sharing the same room, not sharing the same bed, how could any affection develop?
A marriage in name only? Was she out of her mind to want such a thing?
But now…
What should she do in this situation? Cause a scene?
After making a fuss, what good would it do for her? Her son was “stolen,” and even if she divorced, was she guaranteed to marry a better man?
Or should she take Richard’s advice and be confident, just in case they fell in love?
