Chapter 19: Losing Interest
Chapter 19: Losing Interest
Damien Sterling disliked the sensation of being ensnared, especially by a woman who seemed unremarkable.
His voice cold and detached, he said, "This one will do," before getting into his car with a darkened expression.
The black sedan roared towards the "Crimson" bar, a place where a single night’s expenditure could soar into the hundreds of thousands.
It was here, at the insistence of his friends, that his bachelor party was to be held.
Upon his arrival, stunning hostesses in aviation uniforms led him to the grandest private suite.
In the midst of his complex emotions, Damien casually opened several bottles of champagne, each worth a small fortune.
"Ah, Mr. Sterling finally makes his appearance. We’ve been awaiting you. Did your fiancée delay you?" teased Chase Hunter, his dark face wearing a sly smile.
"So, it seems marriage is on the cards for you."
"When will you bring your beautiful fiancée to dazzle us?" the tall, handsome men, heirs of major domestic corporations, ribbed him.
They had been eagerly anticipating the revelation of the stunning beauty Damien was to marry.
Damien chuckled nonchalantly, lounging on an expensive sofa, clinking glasses with his friends.
His gaze casually swept over a pole dancer with scant attire, her exotic beauty accentuated by sparkling fringes that swayed with her alluring movements. Her captivating eyes held a suggestive allure.
"Nice catch, huh? She’s Crimson’s most famous stripper," remarked a man beside him, his eyes brimming with insinuation.
"Scarlett, come and meet the future CEO of Sterling Enterprises," he called.
Scarlett, her waist swaying, approached Damien. Before he could react, her hand, painted with bright red nail polish, was already caressing his body.
Truth be told, Damien had caught her attention the moment he walked in.
His aura, unmistakably regal, and his stunningly handsome features were enough to captivate countless young women.
Scarlett’s captivating eyes incessantly electrified Damien Sterling with their allure, her hands, as white and pure as jade, restlessly roamed.
The men around them, fueled by excitement, goaded Damien, "This is one of your last nights of bachelorhood, Damien. Why not enjoy it to the fullest?"
Chase Hunter mischievous remark instantly painted their faces with a thrill of excitement.
They all knew well that no woman had ever truly caught Damien Sterling’s eye.
Yet, the prospect of embracing such an unparalleled beauty would tempt any man!
Damien Sterling casually freed one hand to lift his champagne glass, the crystal-clear liquid smoothly flowing down his throat.
Gazing at the stunning beauty before him, he felt no spark of novelty. Ever since his youth, women had always gone to great lengths to please him.
This woman was just another seductress.
Suddenly, the image of Emma Hart in her pristine white wedding dress flashed across his mind, causing Damien to squint his eyes.
He remembered her adorable baby fat, although Emma was not as seductive as the woman before him, there was something about her that kept drawing him in.
Why else would he find himself unable to stop thinking about her since that night...
His thoughts were abruptly pulled back to the present by the red lips inching closer to him. Damien instantly radiated an intimidating chill, his handsome eyes devoid of any warmth.
He grabbed the woman’s chin and pushed her away, "Get lost!"
The onlookers exchanged puzzled glances as they watched Damien leave, wondering why he seemed so out of character today.
With a face etched in frustration, Damien Sterling strode away into the night...
