Otaku Witch
Chapter 1060 - 1060: 629. The Saint speaks the teachings, and the world is moved.

"This Hyakki banquet sure is delicious."

After the party ended, a satisfied Dorothy patted her belly, which looked as if she were ten months pregnant, and expressed her contentment.

In terms of the level of ingredients alone, the food brought by the Hyakki witches at this banquet was several notches below the previous Oiran Banquet, only qualifying as basic spiritual ingredients. The Magic Power contained in them was generally ordinary, at a level where an average witch family might occasionally splurge, completely incomparable to the Oiran Banquet's top-tier ingredients.

But the homebody witch ate with great delight. Although the ingredients were average and the cooking techniques weren't excellent, the food was imbued with plenty of heartfelt intention. She could feel the Hyakki witches' importance and anticipation for this Hyakki Festival from the food.

Because of the anticipation of the Hyakki, these dishes had given birth to Food Spirits and gained souls, making this feast an exceptionally high-quality one overall.

"They're really nice folks, just a bit down on their luck, sigh..."

From tasting the dishes, Dorothy could sense the hearts of people. She believed that those who could make such heartfelt dishes couldn't be bad people. Thinking about the usually tragic pasts of the Hyakki, she couldn't help but shake her head and sigh.

"I hope Aunt Miko can truly change Japan in the future."

With this thought in mind, the homebody witch stretched a bit, and her once-round belly visibly returned to being flat. Dorothy felt a rare spark of work enthusiasm.

She took out her Magic Book and sent a message to Spider Teacher and Aunt Miko explaining the situation.

[Fairy of the Forest: Teacher, Sister Miko, I found a good place to be the core of the Great Barrier in the future...]

After roughly explaining the situation, she snapped a few pictures of Monster Mountain and sent those along as well.

Although Magic Network usage was banned on Japan, the network was actually everywhere. The Japanese Witches simply lacked Magic Network accounts and Magic Book terminals. However, because not many people were online here, the network speed was unexpectedly good.

This didn't really affect Dorothy, though, since her Magic Book was the best of the best and she had luxuriously subscribed to the Magic Network gold membership, enjoying a private Magic Network loop.

Hmm, the membership was really expensive, and the homebody witch felt heartache when topping it up, a rare extravagance for her frugal self.

After all, a homebody might accept lesser eating and clothing, but absolutely couldn't tolerate slow internet speeds or poor computer performance. Had the highest-level Magic Network jade membership been available to ordinary witches, Dorothy might have gritted her teeth and gone for it.

However, the message was sent, but after waiting for a while, the homebody witch received no immediate reply, which puzzled her.

"Could Teacher and Aunt Miko be held up by something?"

That's what Dorothy thought to herself.

But she didn't worry too much about it, as she was sure that Noelle Rose and Yae Miko, both at the Peak, couldn't possibly be in danger together.

The homebody witch turned to her two good sisters nearby, who were still immersed in the Demon King's legacy, laboriously digesting the Immortal Technique knowledge from another power system completely different from magic.

During the earlier Hundred Stories, none of them had gone up to give a talk. They had just got their legacies and hadn't even fully digested them, so they had no cultivation experiences to share.

Although Dorothy did have some, she felt she'd practiced wrong, possibly going astray, and didn't want to misguide others with incorrect knowledge. So she decided to think more about it later.

Hmm, freeloading this time, but definitely next time.

The homebody witch didn't think of this as freeloading, but the Slick Ghost's demonic power increased slightly nonetheless. Normally demonic power increases only when doing things that match a demon's nature, so this left her quite speechless. She felt falsely accused by the monster's legacy, feeling that her "definitely next time" couldn't be regarded as freeloading.

But...

Dorothy extended her hand, and an ink-like power resembling a landscape painting flowed from her fingertips – this was the Slick Ghost's demonic power.

The homebody witch carefully distinguished and sensed this new power completely different from Magic Power, deep in thought.

Contrary to a witch's Magic Power, which is at one's whim, this demonic power seemed overly animated. It even appeared to simulate countless freeloading scenes of the Slick Ghost at the homebody witch's fingertips, as though it were sentient.

"A power with its own ideas? Interesting."

She extended her other hand, and a small Sun emerged at her fingertips, radiating the Buddha Light.

This was the Buddhist Mana she had just cultivated. The Western Universe lacked Spiritual Power, but Ibuki Yuuki's previous wine was full of it, which Dorothy had used for her cultivation.

There wasn't much Mana, but it sufficed for an experiment.

Once the Buddha Light came into contact with the demonic power, both sides immediately acted as if they recognized an enemy, engaging in chaotic battle.

But the Slick Ghost was truly weak, its demonic power portraying countless scenes of Intimidation, yet the Great Sun Buddha Light was emotionless, scattering demons wherever it shone.

Later, the homebody witch extended her last hand. Initially, there was a strand of colorless pure Magic Power, which soon transformed into the ink-like Slick Ghost's demonic power; in the next instant, the ink-like demonic power simulated a Sun.
