Chapter 101: Chapter 101 She Got Pregnant At 18!

Five minutes later, three servers brought their order and carefully arranged the plates across the table.

Kelsie was rendered speechless when she saw Jett and Serbian had ordered the same food as her.

"If you were going to take croissant and tea, why didn’t you just go home and have your chef make it?" She mumbled, her gaze flickering from one face to the other in genuine confusion.

Serbian was the first to speak up.

"I don’t have a selective palate and I’m not very hungry. But seeing you order croissant made me hungry for it too."

Jett, on the other hand, picked up his cutlery and carefully sliced a piece of the croissant with practiced ease.

Forking it into his mouth, he moaned in satisfaction, "i love the texture. Melts right into the mouth once you begin eating it. It’s always so right. Not very crispy and it’s baked too. Just perfect."

Then he paused and raised a questioning brow at her, "What? You really didn’t think I ordered this croissant because you did, did you?"

Kelsie squinted her eyes at him, recalling she really hadn’t seen him go through the menu earlier.

But knowing he would never admit it, she tore her eyes away from him and picked up the croissant with the serviette beside her plate.

Seeing this, the men dropped their culteries and promptly did the same.

It was at this moment that a group of young men suddenly rushed into the restaurant.

Despite their troublemaking appearance, the security at the door let them in the moment they realized they were rich scions.

Bryan Baker was panting in anger as his eyes swiftly darted across the restaurant in search of the trio he had seen in the picture.

A few seconds later, he found them a few tables away from the window.

"Kelsie Sutton!" He yelled in agitation, quickly closing the distance between them.

Kelsie, who was about to take a bite out of the croissant, paused, her jaw ticking at the familiar voice.

Jett and Serbian also found the voice familiar and followed the direction it came from.

As they turned their heads, Bryan instantly recognized Serbian as the man who beat him up in the reception of the apartment building and laughed angrily.

"I knew there was something between you two when he stood up for you the other day. Tell me, what are you planning?"

"Is he from a better family than mine? Is he the reason you’ve refused to get engaged to me again?"

He stopped in front of their table and ignoring the two men, grabbed the croissant from her and tossed it behind him.

Boiling with rage, he pointed a shaky finger at her nose, "Do you think I’m a pushover because I let you act however you like? How dare you date a man when I’m still here!"

Beside Kelsie, Jett’s jaw tightened, his eyes darkening with unrestrained fury as he gazed at Bryan.

Serbian, whom Bryan was standing right beside, clenched his jaw in annoyance.

Both men had seen how unreasonable Bryan was and even though they didn’t know the full story, they didn’t need to hear it to know Kelsie wasn’t at fault.

Both men, however, were too distinguished to beat up someone like him, so suppressing their urge to hit him, they took out their phones to call security.

But the next second, Kelsie’s rather calm voice filled their eardrums.

"Mr. Baker, why do you keep doing this?"

Bryan gritted his teeth and glared hard at her, "What? Mr. Baker? I’m your fiancé! Do you have no shame at all?"

Kelsie slowly reached for the serviette on the table to wipe her hands clean, her eyes pinned on his face.

"You insisted I break off the engagement seven years ago. Which I agreed to, but none of our parents agreed at that time until I went abroad."

"You’re my fiancé? Don’t do that to Laura. She’s been engaged to you for the past seven years. Breaking off your engagement with her just because you saw I’ve changed is so cruel."

"If looks matters to you that much, what makes you think you deserve to be married to a woman like me?"

Some of the customers chortled hearing her, unanimously agreeing with her.

She stood out when she walked in earlier with two handsome men, so of course they remembered what she looked like. f|re(e)web.n\ovel. (c)o.m

Taking a careful look at Bryan, they almost sneered.

Not only was he mannerless, he was also way uglier than the men with her. Only a blind woman would choose someone like him over the men with her.

"This man is causing a ruckus here. What is security doing?"

"I can’t concentrate on my food because of the disgusting words coming out of his mouth. How can a man talk like that?"

"So he broke off his engagement with her because she was ugly, now that she looks different, he wants her back. Tsk tsk. What a fickle man."

"I feel pity towards the girl who’s engaged to him. Imagine deciding to leave her because he found someone prettier."

"I’d leave him if I were her. He’s not good-looking enough to go through an embarrassment like this for."

Bryan’s face was instantly shrouded in dark clouds.

It was also at this moment that a waiter ran out to call for security.

Realizing things were not moving in his favor, he turned to them and snorted in disdain, "Don’t be fooled by how innocent she looks. This woman is 24-years-old and already has a child."

The words were yet out of his mouth when the customers began chiding him in disgust.

"What nonsense are you saying? When did it become wrong for women to have children at the age of 24?"

"Yes, most women have one at the age of 22. Don’t embarrass yourself any further and just get out before security arrives!"

But Bryan didn’t plan to lose to Kelsie this time.

He arrogantly slipped his hands into his pockets, and hissed scornfully, "I broke off my engagement with her seven years ago not because she was ugly."

"But because I found out she was pregnant with another man’s child on the day of our engagement!"

The discussions stopped instantly.

At this, Bryan laughed triumphantly and turned back to Kelsie in contempt.

"You got pregnant even before you turned 18. I bet you didn’t tell this men that you have a child who’s a bastard. How many bastards did you have?"

In response, Kelsie glowered at him, her eyes filled with anger.

Bryan’s smile broadened seeing this.

Laura was right.

Kelsie didn’t care about anything. She didn’t even care when people called her out for getting pregnant at such an early age.

But whenever her children were called bastards, she would flip it.

Locking eyes with her, he pretended to be confused as he counted his fingers, "Laura told me sometime ago it wasn’t one. Was it two?"

"No, it wasn’t. I think she said three. Hey, aren’t you impressive? You didn’t just have one, but three bast..."

The words died in his throat when the man sitting beside Kelsie abruptly reached across the table and grabbed him roughly by the collar.

"Say one more word and I’ll rip out your tongue!"
