Chapter 305: Chapter 263: Witch in the Forest

This was the Golden Age when the Gods walked the earth.

Every inch of the world was the ground over which the Divine tread.

Sola had left that Coastal City; she stood in the sunshine that bathed the earth, gazing at the scattered Human Kingdoms and city-states below, selecting her next destination.

Before long, she set her eyes on a tiny nation situated in a forest clearing.

This small state was but a vassal to a larger realm; it offered loyalty to the larger kingdom’s Monarch along with a variety of riches, while the larger nation abided by ancient covenants set by ancestors, providing due protection for the smaller state and conferring legitimacy to its Monarch.

The citizens of this small state lived orderly lives, though not wealthy ones.

The phrase "a contented and secure nation" did not exactly fit this small state, but Sola could find no better words.

Sola paused mid-air, connecting threads of countless golden lines, as if seeing the distant future, tracing the path of destiny.

Finally, Sola nodded her head, transformed into a beam of light, and descended just outside a village of this small nation.

She found herself in the Secret Forest, peering through the gaps in the trees at the peaceful village before her; this small nation had long been without war, and with its narrow territories and sparse population, slaves were rare.

Sola ventured deeper into the lush forest, knowing she would encounter several Divinities in this small nation. Now, she was to write a new story here and quietly await the arrival of those Divinities in the stream of time.

Sola was the vanguard of Heaven, to sound the horn of arrival; she had come to the world to show what God had sent her to demonstrate.

This demonstration was not simply for all the people of the world but also for the Divinities of the Celestial Kingdom.

Sola looked back once more at the peaceful village in the distance and then found in the deeps of the forest a flat, open area.

On this space stood an ancient tree, centuries old.

"Vidan."

Sola chanted in the Ancient Language.

The surrounding trees seemed suddenly commanded; Sola raised her hand, and the trees grew and moved slowly in response to her gesture as roots extended outward.

Following this, the broad ancient tree on the clearing slowly opened its heart center, the woody flesh receding to form walls—Sola had created a tree hollow for her future dwelling.

Sola lifted her other hand and chanted another Ancient Language.

In that direction, the ground began to sink under an unseen force, and soon a spring bubbled up from below, marked by an underground river running through the land.

A well was thus crafted.

The leaves in the dense forest were thick and lush as Sola gently waved her hand, chanting another Ancient Language; a beam of light swept across as branches elongated, intertwining and knitting like wool, soon forming a series of hedges.

Sola gazed upon the dense forest, searching for something. Then, she saw something, turned, and quickly walked over to pluck a delicate vine from a tree.

It was a grapevine.

On her first day here, Sola had planted a field of grapes and had broken branches off trees of varying lengths, chanting Ancient Languages to turn them into everyday furniture.

As night approached and the sun set, Sola decided to rest for the moment, to continue her work tomorrow.

.........

The sun of the second day rose slowly from the horizon, showing the first light of dawn. Sola opened her eyes, standing on the clearing of the Secret Forest and looking at the fledgling forest cabin, nodding in satisfaction.

After that, Sola surveyed the surrounding plants in the Secret Forest.

Then, she stepped forward, and in an instant, she was before those exotic plants, plucking them one by one—both the common flowers growing under trees and the precious herbs found on hard-to-reach cliffs were grasped in Sola’s palm.

Before returning to the forest cabin, she cultivated a field beside the house, tossing the plants into the field piece by piece.

Those plants, which had originally thrived in rugged terrains, miraculously took root and grew instantly, just like ordinary plants.

Thus, under Sola’s Ancient Words, a field of medicinal herbs was formed.

"This truly is a magnificent creation of God."

Even well-acquainted with the Ancient Languages, she couldn’t help but marvel at their power.

She was able to make these plants grow instantly solely because she used the Ancient Language about the Forest God.

In the following days, Sola kept enriching her abode in the forest, constantly bringing in more precious rare herbs, and expanded more living structures, such as beehives, ponds, and salt columns.

After a few days, Sola finally completed all her tasks; the small dwelling in the forest, though modest, had everything necessary.

At this moment, Sola gazed toward the distant village.

She knew that soon, she would receive her first visitor.

In this story, she would play the role of an almost reclusive Forest Witch, observing the rise and fall of Kingdoms during uneventful days.

Sola transformed, maintaining the appearance of a blonde woman, but her attire changed significantly; she no longer wore the pristine robes of a Priest, but instead had tailored a garb with hints of a Witch, using deerskin and linen. Then, she broke off a branch to use as her wooden staff.

How could a Witch be without a Magic Potion?

In an instant, Sola brought a cauldron from a wealthy household and left enough Gold Coins in exchange.

This worldly Angel picked various herbs from the medicinal field, set up the cauldron, ignited the fire, and began brewing the Magic Potion.

Perhaps, besides the eternal God,

No one could know what the Magic Potion Sola was brewing would bring to this small nation.
