Chapter 234: Chapter 200: The Great Proclamation
The frost that had frozen the Country of Divines slowly retreated.
With the gentle breeze following the melting glaciers, the news of victory spread throughout the entire Country of Divines.
The Divine beings awoke from their frozen state; those pale Divines, corroded by the invasion, regained their clarity thanks to the resealing of the Primordial Will.
It was all over.
This catastrophe that swept across the whole Celestial Kingdom, nearly destroying the stars, had finally come to an end.
The Gods wept with joy; tears covered the land of the Country of Divines, celebrating among the ruins and rubble.
They picked up pieces of the shattered Temples, holding them tightly in their hands, feeling the joy of reclaimed life through their touch, engraving the broken fragments into their hearts.
The sky was no longer gloomy; the lights of the Country of Divines once again shone brightly, those damaged Temples kissed by the Gods, who repaired their Divine Statues. Before long, everything would be restored to its original state, returning to infinite splendor.
Once on the brink of collapse and destruction, that moment no longer existed,
Glory had descended once more, and this domain where Gods gathered would stand for another thousand years.
Divine King Shan En, carrying the Thunder Spear, ascended the long steps.
The Gods witnessed their King once again ascending to the Golden Hall.
Shan En entered the hall, looking up at the throne.
The Gods looked at Shan En, waiting for Him to make His final proclamation in silence.
He took a deep breath, His gaze fixated on the throne, and then revealed a relieved smile.
Divine King Shan En ascended the grand throne. He leaned over, and the high throne split in two, revealing a passage behind it, a secret chamber. Holding the Thunder Spear, He entered and returned with a small life embryo in His hand.
The Divine beings watched Him, speechless.
Many Divines curiously examined the life embryo in Divine King Shan En’s hand, wanting to speak but hesitating.
Standing in front of the throne, He faced the Gods with the life embryo in His hand, one of the reasons He had solemnly defended the Golden Hall.
Humanity.
A kind of life never before seen on this world.
They were born from the Country of Divines, without any innate powers granted by the Divine beings.
"Humanity.
Gods, this is humanity."
Divine King Shan En held the Thunder Spear in one hand and raised the life in his other hand, issuing a historic declaration.
"This is our collective creation, the Original Divine Power you once infused into the Divine Statues has been used by me to create this entirely new race.
They will leave this place,
To live on the vast lands, to believe, and to die."
The Gods held their breaths, simultaneously fixing their gaze on the fragile, small life embryo in Shan En’s hand, so delicate it seemed a careless touch could end its existence in an instant.
Yet the Divine eyes trembled slightly, for some reason filled with an indescribable premonition.
Humanity...
Like a determined seed, once in the soil, it would take root, sprout, and produce grains.
Divine King Shan En slowly descended from the throne, in the presence of the Gods, delivering this new race to the earth.
This was the collective creation of the Gods.
Shan En’s footsteps echoed on the stairs.
"Everything once crumbled before us,
Our kingdom was scarred, fractured and shattered."
Shan En approached the grand doors of the Golden Hall, the Gods following Him, and what met their sight was the aftermath of the battle, a landscape of ruins.
He said slowly,
"But everything will eventually change."
The Thunder Spear in hand,
Shone brightly.
"The calamities we faced were once so dreadful, as if they would consume us all.
That despair made us believe that history would end and that all was lost.
Yet history continues,
And what once was still remains."
Shan En walked through the Country of Divines, passing through streets and alleys, with the Gods closely following and listening to every word of their King of Gods.
These words left many Divine beings in tears.
"Gods,
It’s time to awaken.
The humans we created will go to the earth above."
"It’s time for this Divine race to awake,
They will face the sunrise, the sunset, the coming of night, the dawn after darkness,
It’s time for this new creation to wake,
They have nothing,
Except life, soul, and death.
It’s time now,
For them to fight for themselves, to rise, to comfort themselves until they triumph, until they carve out a place in the world!"
Divine King Shan En stepped out of the Country of Divines, standing atop Historical Star, facing the distant lands.
At the proclamation, the Gods either let out deafening cheers or filled their eyes with tears, trembling all over, murmuring the name of this new life—humanity.
"The rational beings on earth, in this era, be it glory, sorrow, joy, or pain...
Every day, new stories are born, turning with time into legends, into myths.
They witness myriad wonders.
Our Golden Age is real and visible,
People don’t have to deliberately seek or look to the stars; the traces of the Gods are right before their eyes."
The King of Gods turned slowly, facing the Divine of the Celestial Kingdom.
Glory, joy, celebration...all descended at this moment, as if simple words were crafting an immortal poem.
The quivering shouts came from the Country of Divines, resounding through the Celestial Kingdom; they cheered for the victory in war, for that Angel, for the reborn Country of Divines...they cheered for everything.
"Gods,
The Country of Divines remains magnificent,
The Golden Age of Gods still exists!"
The Golden Hall rose majestically in the starry realm, and in the grand declaration of the King of Gods,
Humanity,
Was born.
