Chapter 129: Chapter 112 The First Civilization in the World Will Ultimately End_2
As soon as he thought about it, he could gather lightning in his hands, and by focusing his mind, he could shape the lightning into any form he desired.
Every use of lightning left his consciousness exhausted, as if his spiritual power had been drained.
Orenmo named this extraordinary power "Thunder Grace."
"Curse God, Prophetic God, Water God, Dragon God..."
Orenmo recalled several gods of the Celestial Kingdom.
Curse Grace, Prophetic Grace, Water Purification Grace, Dragon Clan Grace...
There were so many graces waiting for him to enjoy, as long as he became the Logos King and built temples for the gods on earth.
Orenmo gazed towards the direction of the Capital City.
He knew that the illegitimate son who had ascended the throne must have already mobilized the army to suppress the rebellion.
"Bandi... I originally thought you would be my pawn to check King Dovlo, but instead, you ascended to the throne that was meant for me."
Orenmo murmured.
His initial connection with Bandi, using Bandi’s status as the illegitimate son, was meant to constrain King Dovlo.
However, things developed beyond his expectations.
During his alliance with Bandi, Orenmo did not imagine that the rational crisis would sweep through the kingdom again, nor did he predict that an angel would come to the world and then be executed by the Logos people.
"But fortunately, now everything is evolving in a situation favorable to me."
The army dispatched from the Capital City moved to quell the rebellious city-states of the kingdom.
In the first two battles, the Capital City’s army faced resistance but still managed to subdue two rebelling city-states with its superior combat abilities.
Until...
They encountered Orenmo, who had been bestowed with Thunder Grace.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed through the sky; Orenmo, holding a sharp copper spear, forcefully broke through the military formation of the Capital City army.
His figure was as swift as lightning, and even the naturally agile Logos people could hardly react; his spear, charged with lightning, easily tore through human flesh.
Blood splattered on the battlefield, and under Orenmo’s lead, the numerically inferior rebel army began to overwhelm the Capital City army.
Orenmo’s thunder was fearsome; the lightning he summoned could instantly inflict severe injuries on dozens of people. This terrifying extraordinary power filled each soldier with deep dread.
"Oren! It’s just like Oren!"
The terrified soldiers of the Capital City army referred to Orenmo as the historical Giant Dragon.
Orenmo reveled in his enemies’ fear; under the control of lightning, his sharp copper spear repeatedly pierced the bodies of his enemies, the scorched scent further fueling his killing intent.
Endowed with Thunder Grace, facing these soldiers of the Capital City, he felt like an armed Logos person facing Three-eyed Ape People, relishing the slaughter.
"Retreat! Retreat quickly!"
"Run!"
"Is that lightning a mighty power bestowed by God? Has God not blessed us?"
Led by Orenmo, the rebel army forced the Capital City army to retreat steadily, spreading fear through every soldier’s heart. By mid-morning, this military force was utterly defeated, leaving countless fleeing soldiers.
Orenmo casually killed a few fleeing soldiers, then gazed at the scattering Capital City army. Even though he possessed the grace given by Shan’en, he still couldn’t completely annihilate the entire Capital City army.
Moreover, after the battle, he felt that his physical and mental energies had been pushed to their limits.
"What a great grace... Shan’en God, praise be to you, you are the god of my faith..."
Orenmo devoutly praised Divine King Shan’en; under Thunder Grace, he had become a fervent believer in Shan’en.
"With such a grace... Grandfather, I might achieve far more than you ever did."
Orenmo muttered softly, sparks of electricity flickering in his palm.
Just as the Unihorns have the ability to manipulate seawater, he now possessed the ability to control lightning due to his devotion to the gods.
Before him, no Logos person had such extraordinary power.
Orenmo looked towards the Capital City, wishing he could reach the Capital City within a day, tear the noble ministers to pieces, and reclaim his rightful throne.
"Gentlemen, it is God who has granted us this victory!"
Orenmo turned around and walked towards the rebels, celebrating the glorious victory under the banner of God.
Even though he no longer believed in that Lord.
However, most of Orenmo’s supporters and his soldiers still adhered to the god who bestowed reason.
Thus, he had to temporarily unify them in the name of God, driving them forward.
For this, Orenmo had repeatedly repented to Divine King Shan’en in his prayers.
...
In the Celestial Kingdom,
Divine King Shan En fixed his gaze upon Orenmo.
At Shan En’s side, stood Dragon God Endora, Prophetic God Kagawus, and Curse God Yikabe.
Water God Angel had no desire to bestow grace upon any Logosian. Among the Gods, she was the most aloof, only caring for the Sea Demons and Unihorns she created.
"Our Divine King, what grace should we now bestow upon that Logosian named Bandi?"
Prophetic God Kagawus spoke gravely to Divine King Shan En.
Kagawus was dissatisfied with his race being enslaved by the Logosians; he longed to destroy the Logosians as soon as possible and rescue his race from bondage.
Due to the outbreak of a rational crisis, some Logosians had released parts of their Three-eyed Ape People slaves, but even more Logosians viewed the Three-eyed Ape People as valuable property, unwilling to abandon them.
"How hypocritical the Logosians are here, claiming remorse with their words, yet not willing to revert everything back."
Kagawus sneered.
Divine King Shan En silently stared at Orenmo.
After a while, he spoke:
"This descendant of Sapo, he has begun to master my grace."
Upon hearing this, Prophetic God Kagawus looked at Orenmo, slightly surprised.
"Already at the First Rank?"
The Gods of the Celestial Kingdom had divided the divine powers among themselves into seven ranks.
The Gods placed the most ancient Historical Star at the highest rank, the Seventh Rank.
The other Gods, then, based on the brilliance of the star and the divine power, divided the other six ranks.
Divine King Shan En placed himself at the Sixth Rank, while Curse God Yikabe and Dragon God Endora were at the Fifth Rank, Prophetic God Kagawus and Water God Angel at the Fourth Rank.
As for the other celestial beings of the Celestial Kingdom, those still without self-awareness and sufficient wisdom were generally classified into the Second and Third Ranks.
The mere First Rank covered the numerous legendary beings of the earth, such as Flying Dragons and the Unihorn Whale King.
All other life forms were insignificant to the Gods.
As for their Father, in the eyes of the Gods, his existence was supreme, transcendent, and they could not place Him within any rank system.
The difference between ranks signified vast gaps of disparity.
Now, according to the division of divine powers by the Gods of the Celestial Kingdom, Orenmo, who had been bestowed with the Thunder Grace, could be regarded as a legendary being of the same rank as the Flying Dragons.
"Such a person is to be destroyed along with this kingdom."
Prophetic God Kagawus remarked, feeling the weight of the moment, having become First Rank in such a short time.
"It is his own ambition that will bring about destruction, Kagawus."
Dragon God Endora spoke solemnly,
"The Gods merely bestow grace."
Divine King Shan En lifted his eyes, shifting his gaze from Orenmo and looking towards Bandi in the Royal Capital.
"Gods,"
"Then... let them have enough grace to kill each other."
Excitedly raising his arms on the severely damaged Prophetic Star, Kagawus shouted.
Prophetic God Kagawus, as if using his power of prophecy, could glimpse the fate of all beings; it was a grand and stern panorama, the Logos Kingdom was to crumble into the dust of history in the second millennium after its establishment, all with unstoppable momentum.
It marked the fall of the first earthly kingdom, the end of the first great civilization.
"I have already seen the fate of the kingdom’s demise!"
"This kingdom of Elves shall eventually perish."
"Each person acts in the name of God, even though they have received our graces and no longer believe in our Father!"
Kagawus, like a poet chanting an epic,
narrated the prophecy to the Gods, telling the Chapter of destruction.
"Each person longs for the King’s Throne, striving to build achievements, yet they decorate themselves with noble reasons."
"Each one harbors mischief, friendly today, betraying tomorrow; every person is genuinely repentant, yet they cling firmly to wealth!"
"Greed,
how many more will you scatter from their families?!"
"Ambition,
how many more skins do you possess?!"
