Chapter 211: Crushing the Mechanical Celestial Dragon, the Wanted Human
Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Crushing the Mechanical Celestial Dragon, the Wanted Human
Boom!
A deafening explosion shook the entire space, and the gigantic Mechanical Celestial Dragon was actually shattered on the spot.
So strong!
Johnnie was stunned; he could sense that Skye’s shield unleashed even greater power in Xavier’s hands.
It seemed the stronger you were, the more powerful Skye’s shield became.
But this guy shouldn’t be that much stronger than him.
Power talent!
Immediately, Johnnie realized that Xavier must have mastered the power talent.
Skye’s cultivation was all about the law of strength, so anyone with a power talent would naturally get a huge boost using his weapons.
"Xavier, I’ll remember today’s grudge. Wait for the Lord Master’s wrath!" The Mechanical Celestial Dragon’s cold voice echoed in the air.
Xavier had only destroyed its physical form; as for killing the consciousness of a Mechanical Celestial Dragon, that was impossible.
Besides, this body was strong, but nothing too precious. If it was destroyed, so be it.
The dragon’s presence faded, the clouds overhead dispersed, and peace returned to the world.
Xavier scoffed at the dragon’s final threat. Both were consciousness-based beings; the Mechanical Overlord could suppress him, but never truly erase him.
And now he also wielded such a powerful artifact.
"Master, this weapon is incredible." Xavier stroked the Skye shield in his hand, reluctantly handing it back to Johnnie.
He knew the shield was rare, and Johnnie would never let him keep it.
Xavier continued, "Master, with this artifact, I’m confident I could crush the other mechanical Divines guarding the Spatial Anchor, and destroy the Anchor itself."
Johnnie took the shield, but shook his head helplessly. "No. This shield can only be used to attack three times. You already used it once to smash the Mechanical Celestial Dragon—there are only two uses left."
He didn’t hide anything from Xavier; they’d still need his help with the other mechanical Divines.
"I see," Xavier’s eyes flickered. He could sense how terrifying Skye’s shield was—able to kill even Divine beings with ease. If you could use a weapon like that all the time, you’d be unstoppable.
Having a limit made sense.
"What a pity, wasting a chance like that." He spoke a little absent-mindedly.
The Skye shield only destroyed the dragon’s body; it didn’t wipe out its mind. As long as the consciousness attached itself to another Divine powerhouse’s corpse, the Mechanical Celestial Dragon could revive, with little loss in strength.
Johnnie glanced at Xavier but didn’t say anything. He turned his attention to the dragon’s body.
Xavier’s kill hadn’t dropped any loot.
But Johnnie still pulled a crystal orb from the Mechanical Celestial Dragon’s corpse. It was as big as a basketball, radiating immense power and the authority of a dragon.
[Dragon Pearl: Special item. Can be absorbed and refined by those with Celestial Dragon bloodline, boosting Bloodline Power.]
When Johnnie saw the item’s stats, he realized it was a Dragon Pearl.
And he happened to have the Celestial Dragon bloodline, so he could refine it.
Buzz!
At that moment, the Dragon Patterned Sword flew out, transforming into the Red Carp. She stared longingly at the Dragon Pearl in his hand and pleaded, "Master, can I have that?"
The Red Carp had jumped the Dragon Gate, but failed to withstand the heavenly tribulation, so she hadn’t fully transformed into a dragon. If she got this Dragon Pearl, her power would soar.
"It’s yours." Johnnie tossed it to her without hesitation.
The Dragon Pearl was powerful and could boost bloodline strength, but it wouldn’t help him much. He’d already fully transformed into the Demon Clan bloodline, so refining the pearl would only give him a small bump in strength.
"Thank you, Master." The Red Carp accepted it joyfully, then with a thought, absorbed it into her body and began refining it.
Refining the Dragon Pearl was a slow process. She transformed back into the Dragon Patterned Sword and returned to Johnnie’s hand.
"A divine weapon with a Sword Soul!" Xavier, standing nearby, was a bit surprised to see this scene.
Johnnie already owning a powerful weapon like the Skye Shield was enough to shock him—he hadn’t expected a Sword Soul weapon as well.
A divine weapon with a Sword Soul could grow endlessly, maybe even become a supreme artifact.
The odds were low, but it wasn’t impossible.
"Xavier, take me to the Spatial Anchor locking down this space," Johnnie said.
"Yes, Master. Please follow me." Xavier responded respectfully, checked the direction, and started walking.
They could have flown, but Johnnie still had a group of Mechanical Golems with him.
Those guys were too weak to fly.
If there wasn’t spatial suppression, he could’ve stored them in the Map of Heaven and Earth, but here, it was impossible to open it.
Johnnie didn’t want to abandon these Mechanical Golems. They were special, and could recover quickly after death. Maybe they could tie down a Divine powerhouse of the Mechanical Race.
The group moved quickly in one direction, the landscape around them still an endless wilderness.
Only now did Johnnie realize just how vast this space was—it was at least as big as the current Map of Heaven and Earth.
It seemed this fragment of the Map of Heaven and Earth was powerful too. If it was fused, the map would definitely be upgraded again.
"Hm?" At this point, Xavier stopped and spoke, "Master, I’ve just received a new order—to eliminate the traitor. Should we check it out?"
"A traitor to the Mechanical Race?" Johnnie looked at him, puzzled. "That traitor wouldn’t happen to be you, would it?"
"No." Xavier shook his head and explained, "It’s a human who’s been enslaved by the Mechanical Race."
"There are humans here?" Johnnie asked in surprise.
"Yes. Not just humans, but strong beings of other races too—all enslaved by us." Xavier’s expression was a little smug.
But remembering Johnnie’s identity, he quickly added, "But there are still quite a few special humans among them. Many of them have awakened mechanical talents, slipped past our surveillance, and formed a rebel army. Right now, there’s a rebel force nearby."
"Human rebels?" Johnnie was even more intrigued. "Let’s go take a look."
Their mission was going smoothly anyway, so he didn’t mind taking the time.
"Master, this way." Xavier sensed the direction and immediately led the way.
...
Boom! Boom!
Soon, rumbles sounded in the distance, and Johnnie could see the two sides locked in battle.
A squad of Mechanical Race Battle Mecha was besieging a small group of humans.
No, they weren’t really humans—they were Cyborgs.
Unlike the gene Cyborgs from the Apocalypse Group, these were mechanical Cyborgs, and their bodies clearly showed it—mechanical arms, mechanical torsos, even mechanical heads.
Were these even humans anymore?
Not only that, but there were also a few monsters that had been modified with machinery, joining in to fight the Battle Mecha.
Johnnie frowned, hesitating whether to step in.
These guys were clearly no longer human.
Boom!
Another explosion shook the scene. A figure was blown apart, body ripped to pieces, and a severed limb landed right in front of Johnnie.
Blood was still flowing, but inside the flesh were visible mechanical circuits. This definitely didn’t qualify as human anymore.
"Master, these guys are Spiritual Stone veinrs. They snuck out, so they’re probably carrying a bunch of Spiritual Stones. Should we make a move?" Xavier asked, looking eager.
"Wait, what did you say? Spiritual Stones?" Johnnie asked in shock.
He knew just how precious Spiritual Stones were—and for him, they were invaluable. They could directly convert mana points into spiritual power.
During this time, he had asked Dylan and the others to keep an eye out for any news about Spiritual Stones, but they had found nothing.
But from what Xavier just said, it sounded like there was actually a Spiritual Stone vein here?
Johnnie got excited and immediately said, "Let’s do it!"
With that, he jumped straight into action, attacking the Battle Mechas.
Now that his strength had increased and he had mastered the Law of Machinery, taking down these powerful Battle Mechas was a piece of cake.
Xavier followed right behind him, jumping into the fight without hesitation.
Dozens of Battle Mechas didn’t stand a chance—they were wiped out by the two of them in a flash.
Now that Johnnie understood the Law of Machinery, killing these guys no longer gave him Mechanical Perception.
But every Battle Mecha he destroyed still dropped an Energy Core.
Refining these could directly boost his four basic attributes, so it was still a great reward.
With the mechas gone, the mechanical Cyborgs stayed on high alert, eyeing Johnnie and Xavier with suspicion.
"Are you human?" asked the leading female Cyborg, eyeing him warily.
Other than keeping her basic human shape, there was nothing left about her that looked human.
Her arms had been turned into energy cannons, her legs were mechanical, her head was metal, and even her skin had an ashen gray tone.
She barely looked human at all.
Johnnie ignored her question, looked over the group, then turned to the lead female Cyborg and said flatly, "I just saved your lives. Don’t you think you owe me a little something?"
The mechanical woman looked troubled. "We’re humans enslaved by the Mechanical Race. We don’t have anything of value, sir. If you help us escape this place, maybe we can find a way to repay you later?"
Johnnie sneered and dismissed her words—he wasn’t some kind of saint and had no intention of helping these people for nothing.
Sure, they were technically human, but they weren’t from Earth. To him, they were still foreigners.
Anyone not of my tribe must have a different heart—he didn’t trust them for a second.
Johnnie said coolly, "Don’t you have Spiritual Stones? Just hand over all your Spiritual Stones. If there’s enough, maybe I’ll consider getting you out of here."
"You want our Spiritual Stones?" one of the Cyborgs growled, raising his mechanical arm that had been turned into a cannon.
The lead woman quickly stopped him and turned to Johnnie, her tone just as unfriendly. "I appreciate you saving us, but we can’t give you our Spiritual Stones. They’re too important for us."
"Oh? What do you use them for?" Johnnie asked curiously.
From what he knew, Spiritual Stones could convert mana points into spiritual power. Other than that, he didn’t think they had any special use.
The mechanical woman hesitated, glanced at Xavier, then finally answered, "If you’ve awakened a mechanical talent, you can refine Spiritual Stones, strengthen your mind, and control a mechanical body."
