Chapter 247 - 247 246 Twin Souls
247: Chapter 246: Twin Souls 247: Chapter 246: Twin Souls Having said that, a ghastly crimson hue surfaced on Rabbit Rakshasa’s face.
His whole skeleton started glowing with a sacred radiance as he hatefully addressed Asura, “Old thief, it’s all because of you!
Did you want to drain me completely?!
Well, I will let you have your way!”
“Die, Extreme Light, Sunlight!”
A blinding beam of light shot out, slamming straight into Asura.
“Boom!”
Asura grunted, enduring the blow while sucking in the energy emanating from Rabbit Rakshasa with his fingers sunk deep inside the hard skull.
“Die, die, die!”
Rabbit Rakshasa was already collapsing, continually launching light bullets which hammered violently against Asura.
“Gone insane already?
So boring.” Asura, enduring Rabbit Rakshasa’s last-ditch resistance, absorbed the energy more forcefully.
Even for a powerful being like Asura, the rush of such pure energy stirred a visible gluttonous expression on his face.
Soon, Rabbit Rakshasa had depleted his magical energy, unable to withstand the splitting headache any longer.
He fainted, leaving himself at the mercy of Asura who continued to leech his bone marrow essence.
Before long, Asura had drained Rabbit Rakshasa’s marrow completely.
Even the rigid skeleton had turned to ashes.
“Whew!”
Like savoring an invigorating meal, Asura exhaled lightly, a satisfied expression across his face.
“Thank you, little creatures, for your cooperation.
After feasting on such delicacies, I’m fully recovered.”
Asura moved towards the trio of Rakshasas.
He wasn’t in the mood for fighting anymore, his face reflecting a casual indolence.
“Such overconfidence!
Brothers, let’s show him our combined striking power!”
The trio – Bull Rakshasa, Horse Rakshasa, and Rat Raksha – joined forces, launching a powerful attack on Asura.
“Such crude techniques!”
Asura flashed past them like a streak of lightning, dazzling everyone with his speed.
“Such incredible speed!”
Having seen all their attacks evaded, the trio didn’t lose heart but rushed forth, surrounding Asura and continuing their barrage.
“You’re so slow.
Have you eaten?”
The fully restored Asura shook his head, finding it all a bit dull.
“Oh no, he’s inherited Rabbit Rakshasa’s agility.
His speed has dramatically increased!”
“What can we do?
We can’t touch him.
We don’t have a surestrike skill.
We’re in trouble this time!”
“Apparently his attacks aren’t very strong.
Let’s rescue the Rakshasa King first.
Only then do we stand a chance to defeat him!”
After a brief discussion, the trio agreed unanimously, scattered in different directions, and charged towards the platform.
“Hey, you’re losing your fighting spirit already?” Asura didn’t care if they were going to rescue the Rakshasa King.
He took a running start and darted forward, sending Rat Raksha, who was lagging behind, flying through the air.
Although Rat Raksha was in mid-air, he quickly adjusted his posture intending to pounce on Asura as soon as he landed.
However, Asura was already airborne before Rat Rakshasa could react, landing three punches that sent Rat Rakshasa flying for the second time in succession.
Rat Rakshasa rose from the ground, spitting out a mouthful of bloody clots, his gaze severe.
“Asura, I’ve torn you apart once before.
Why are you still clinging to life?”
“Torn apart?
Ridiculous!”
An expression of contempt crossed Asura’s face.
“If it weren’t for that damned Rakshasa King eradicating one of my souls, you wouldn’t have stood a chance!”
“You…
a soul twin?!”
Rat Raksha cried out in disbelief.
“Hmph, you know too much!”
Asura rushed forth, ignoring Rat Raksha’s defenses, and threw him onto the ground with a punch.
Then, he let loose a flurry of punches, beating Rat Raksha to the point where he couldn’t lift his head.
“You old thief, dare you!”
Seeing that the situation was not good, Bull Raksha turned around and attacked Asura, hoping to rescue Rat Raksha, who was unable to escape.
Seeing Bull Raksha coming, Asura kicked out hard without any hesitation.
Rat Raksha’s body suddenly curled up, like a soccer ball kicked away by a massive force, crashing into the incoming Bull Raksha.
The Bull stopped his attack just in time and managed to save the Rat.
“Run, the old thief is a soul twin!”
Rat Raksha, still in shock and regardless of his injuries, said to the Bull before him.
“What?”
The Bull’s face mirrored Rat Raksha’s, full of disbelief.
“Run!”
Without hesitation, Rat and Bull Raksha rushed off to escape.
Asura was now beyond their league.
The only way to suppress and even kill him was to rescue the Shura King.
“Hey, scared?
Fear does indeed rob one’s will to fight.
But, can you escape without my consent?” Asura was bored.
He wanted to chase after the Rat and Bull but found that these two were skilful at escaping.
They quickly disappeared without leaving a trace, let alone being chased.
Unable to do anything, Asura grudgingly said: “Alright, I agree.”
Then, Asura looked towards the platform where a man in a black robe and Horse Raksha were trying their hardest to break the platform.
He annoyed at their foolishness: “Idiots, even if you discover the secret of the platform, you won’t be able to rescue Asura, who has turned into Corpse Powder!”
“Huh, why does this man in the black robe seem familiar?
I feel like I want to skin him and crush his bones?
What kind of unforgivable thing did he do to make me despise him so much?
I can’t quite remember.”
“Never mind, he’s just an ant.
When I kill the Horse Raksha, I’ll also kill him to settle this karma.”
Asura strolled leisurely towards the platform, with traces of his formidable strength and intimidating power revealed with each step.
“Little skeleton, what’s the secret of this platform?
Why can’t we break it open?
Do we need a specific device to open it?”
Horse Raksha was filled with an unnamed fury.
He couldn’t wait to rescue Asura to deal with Asura who was as powerful as a devil.
“Don’t worry, I’ll dig some more!”
Su Ran wore a frustrated grimace.
He bitterly glared at Horse Raksha.
He was about to uncover the platform, and once done, he would secretly tuck it into his bladder.
Such a simple task!
Unfortunately, the Horse Raksha had arrived.
Alas, he missed out on such a treasure!
What a pity!
Su Ran transformed his frustration into motivation and continued to dig at the platform.
He too, wanted to uncover it soon to escape this dangerously unsettling place.
“Snap!”
An irregular sound came.
Su Ran’s spirits soared with ecstatic excitement as he dropped his novice hoe and leaned down to brush away the thin layer of loose soil with his skeletal claw.
Even Horse Raksha could not help but walk over and see what mechanism was so concealed.
Suddenly.
Rat and Bull Raksha rushed past hurriedly, panting, “Run, that old thief is actually a legendary soul twin!”
Horse Raksha was taken aback, his face changing color.
He looked at the little skeleton lying down and then at the platform, then firmly said to Su Ran: “Little skeleton, I’ll hold him off with all my strength.
Your job is to rescue the Asura King!”
