Chapter 231 - 231 230 Kill and Take the Treasure
231: Chapter 230: Kill and Take the Treasure 231: Chapter 230: Kill and Take the Treasure “Hey, keep running?” The Wounded Wolf taunted Su Ran, gathering his energy, “In a bit, I will make your death rhythmic, ensuring your journey here wasn’t in vain!”
Before Su Ran could even respond, Wounded Wolf shouted loudly, launching a Jump Cut towards Su Ran with force.
Upon seeing this powerful attack come at lightning speed towards him, Su Ran softly murmured, “Good timing, I was waiting for this move!”
Magic Technique, Splitting!
A Dark Bone Bear was summoned by Su Ran, while the real body took a step back.
“Clang!”
Wounded Wolf’s sharp strike was entirely received by Dark Bone Bear, which took the damage effortlessly due to its full Qi Blood health.
The bear counteracted, pouncing on Wounded Wolf, who was unable to react in time.
It pinned him down, ensuring he could not escape.
This strategy never fails!
From Su Ran’s hand flew a small purple flame, aimed at Wounded Wolf, the thin player, and it hit him.
“Boom!”
Purple Fire suddenly appeared, enveloping Wounded Wolf and Dark Bone Bear, the purple flame wrapped around them.
Wounded Wolf struggled as if in mire, unable to free himself.
Dark Bone Bear’s enormous strength kept him restrained so much that even breathing became a luxury for him.
But Wounded Wolf wouldn’t just surrender; he struggled vigorously.
He desperately swung his long knife at the Dark Bone Bear pinning him down in hopes of knocking it off and escaping this burning place.
Suddenly, a swiftly flying fireball exploded on Wounded Wolf’s head, leaving him dazed.
Struggling to breathe and now unable to speak, his eyes glowed crimson as if seared, like a wild animal.
He struggled crazily, attempting to break free.
Not one to indulge his tantrum, the Dark Bone Bear, gave a thundering roar right in Wounded Wolf’s ear, nearly knocking him unconscious.
Splitting Skill, Bear Roar Wave!
While Wounded Wolf was distracted, the bear’s claws, covered in Qi Blood, launched a Bear Claw Tear, making Wounded Wolf wish for either life or death while not betraying his ruthless and fierce momentum from earlier.
Wounded Wolf, filled with regret, dug out an advanced healing potion from his supplies and shoved it into his mouth, regaining a significant amount of health.
Afterwards, he exerted force in his waist and swung his long knife, blowing away the Dark Bone Bear with one hit, standing up quickly, while dodging fireball attacks, he managed to escape the sticky purple fire, finally breathing in fresh air.
“Roar!”
Dark Bone Bear pounced towards Wounded Wolf once again.
Having learned his lesson, Wounded Wolf would not make the same mistake.
He didn’t halt, and charged towards Su Ran at full speed.
Catch the leader to capture the gang!
Ignoring Wounded Wolf charging towards him, Su Ran once again triggered a flaming paper, rushing towards the oncoming enemy.
Wounded Wolf’s face twisted with a ferocious expression.
The speed of the Bone Bear from behind outmatched him, hence he needed to slaughter the wizard in front before the Bone Bear caught up.
So, it’s this move again!
Seeing the fireball coming head-on, Wounded Wolf smiled disdainfully.
Always this same move, it wouldn’t be effective a second time around, not against him!
Wounded Wolf strategically shifted his body to the side, continuing his dash towards Su Ran.
To his surprise, the apparently single fireball suddenly split into four, whistling towards him!
Bone Technique, Splash!
Who can tell me, what the hell kind of technique is this?
Wounded Wolf was shocked.
He didn’t ideally play fire techniques; he maintained rules and norms when using fire technique skills, didn’t he?
“Boom!”
Undoubtedly, the fireball hit Wounded Wolf, slowing down his attempt to attack.
On the back of it was the Bone Bear once again knocking him down to the ground, pinning him flat, so he was immobile.
Wounded Wolf’s health was running low, and his desperate struggle couldn’t change the facts in front of his eyes.
Su Ran’s flaming paper reduced his health to zero, he fell down on the ground, dead.
“Whew!”
Su Ran knew that his recent victory was all due to luck.
The unfamiliar terrain had prevented the mage from fully utilizing his long-range advantage.
Thankfully, he had a clone, which gave him the upper hand.
If they were to fight again, Su Ran believed that his chances of winning were just 50-50!
After all, the crippled wolf could turn invisible, and enemies who hid themselves in the dark were always the most troublesome.
But, he was in possession of a superior bone technique, the Treading on Air Technique!
Come on, jump up and kill me if you dare?
Su Ran kicked the corpse of the wolf aside.
To his surprise, a thick leg and a round stone rolled out of it.
Special items obtained at the Rebirth Gate could not be taken back to the God-Demon Continent after a player’s death, but equipment was not restricted.
“What a robust and full leg!”
Su Ran exclaimed as he stuffed the leg into his bladder, picking up the round stone from the ground.
It was obviously a Rakshasa’s Life-Source Spirit Stone.
The only question was whether it belonged to a Horse Rakshasa or a Rabbit Rakshasa.
[Summoning Stone] (Special)
Summons a Horse Rakshasa.
Note: Can only be used within the Rebirth Gate, summons a beast that lasts for ten minutes.
So, it was the Life-Source Phantom Spirit of a Horse Rakshasa!
Su Ran knew that this summoning stone would definitely come in handy.
Who knew what unexpected twists the Rebirth Gate plot had in store?!
After securing the summoning stone, Su Ran was about to enter the teleportation formation when he suddenly remembered that Black Crow, his teammate, was still fighting on the second floor.
He promptly turned around and headed to the second floor.
However, the minute Su Ran stepped from the third to the second floor, he was stunned at the sight before him.
Black Crow was lying on top of a zombie player!!!
To make things even worse, the fallen player was a man!!!
What the heck?!
“You, you’re kind of kinky, aren’t you?”
Su Ran glared at Black Crow, doing his best not to gag, and blurted.
On hearing this, Black Crow reacted dramatically.
He quickly scrambled up, and a fireball from him blew up the zombie’s head, silencing it.
“Can I explain that I accidentally knocked the zombie down?”
Blushing, Black Crow hastily offered an explanation.
“You’re so desperate, you even turned to a zombie,” Su Ran said, not convinced.Continuing: “That was purely accidental!” Black Crow sounded mortified.
“If you hadn’t killed that zombie, I would have gone offline for half an hour to give you some alone time!” Su Ran was dutifully returning the favor from when Black Crow had made fun of him earlier.
“Can you please stop talking about it?” Black Crow sighed, “Okay, I admit I shouldn’t have made fun of you before.
Are you happy now?”
Su Ran just smiled without saying anything.
“Honestly, the zombies give good experience points.
I was grinding for experience.
Who could have predicted that I would trip over a zombie corpse when killing the last one and fall on top of it?
Then you showed up…”
Black Crow was utterly despondent.
He supposes Overturning Water to be his bane: the debt of that winter special was necessary to pay off quickly!
“An excuse is only a cover-up,” Su Ran said, turning towards the inside, “Hurry up and stay close!”
With a low head, Black Crow followed Su Ran to the third floor of the tower.
