Online Game: Crazy Skeleton -
Chapter 208 - 208 207 Graves are Good Things
208: Chapter 207: Graves are Good Things 208: Chapter 207: Graves are Good Things Not long afterward, a player wearing a gray robe came by, his face a mask of discomfort as he clutched his stomach and muttered nonstop under his breath.
“Damn, one really shouldn’t eat too much beef.
Being forced to go offline for a bathroom break…
what a nightmare.”
The newcomer was none other than Su Ran’s teammate, Black Crow!
Turns out, after Black Crow entered the maze he began to feel a dreadful stomachache.
Left with no choice, he had to go offline and rush to the bathroom.
Only after his belly felt slightly better did he reenter the game.
“This is a harsh lesson against gluttony.
Greed for food males trouble, what a shame for my mysterious treasure chest…” Black Crow wanted to cry with frustration, and he trudged along the path before him.
“Huh?
What’s with this small path over here?”
Just as Black Crow was about to walk in, he suddenly noticed another tiny, rough path to his right.
It was incredibly concealed, and piquing his curiosity, he slipped right into it.
He was set on exploring every inch of this maze, just in case he missed out on his precious mysterious treasure chest.
“Damn, why is this place so messy?
Where did all these loose rocks come from?” Black Crow wandered in this space surprised to find it seemed as if it had experienced a disaster with no place to even stand.
“Wow, what’s this?
Isn’t this the stone powder that Overturning Water needed?” Black Crow’s eyes sparkled.
He jogged a few steps and scooped up the stone powder with a smirk.
He vividly remembered Overturning Water’s serious expression when he held these powders, as if he was afraid that Black Crow would snatch them away.
If he had these powders, he might be able to swap them for a Rebirth Gold Bar from Overturning Water.
With that, he would have a higher chance to open the mysterious treasure chest!
The wheels in Black Crow’s mind were clicking.
“But where did Overturning Water go?
It’s pretty embarrassing to have kept him waiting so long,” thought Black Crow with self-reproach.
If it hadn’t been for the stomachache, he might have already been out adventuring with Overturning Water by now.
“Oh, life sure plays tricks on us!” Black Crow quickly opened up his contact list, but his face turned pale moments after.
“Why has Overturning Water’s name gone gray?
Don’t tell me he has died?” Black Crow immediately slapped himself, “Damn it, I shouldn’t say that.
Maybe an emergency came up in real life, like he got bitten by a dog or got hit by a car.
Anything, just please don’t be dead in the game!”
He remembered clearly that Overturning Water has valuable exploration skills!
After surveying the area around him, Black Crow found nothing but stones.
Disappointed, he gave up and returned from where he came.
…
Meanwhile, after nervously killing the Minotaur statue, Su Ran finally sighed with relief.
The terrible scenario he had imagined didn’t materialize, the other players didn’t manage to rush back in time, and he really lucked out!
“That Green Beret player was really capable.
He single-handedly held off more than thirty players.
I must admit, that guy is a real man!” Su Ran didn’t halt in admiring the Green Beret player.
His timely intervention had created ample time for Su Ran to kill the statue.
Wait, speaking of the statue, where’s the loot it dropped?
Su Ran kicked away the shattered statue and finally found an inconspicuous little key on the ground.
He carefully put it into his Storage Box.
He understood that this key played a crucial role in the Rebirth Gate space!
That said, the boss monster was pretty miserly.
Su Ran wore a frustrated frown and decided to pay it no mind.
He strode into the tunnel ahead.
“Just as I thought, that annoying shield is gone!”
Only after the Guardian Statue boss was slain did the shield disappear.
This was the mechanic that Su Ran discovered back when he was trapped in the Dark Abyss, and the lock and wooden bridge were guarded by two Black Skeleton Guards.
As he thought of this, he couldn’t help but sigh.
It hadn’t been easy to get this far!
“Oh, my god, what is this?”
Upon entering the unique landscape, Su Ran found himself in the midst of a fiercely burning pool of fire.
Chains crisscrossed above the fire, leading directly to a large tomb in the center.
“A tomb, a treasure!”
Su Ran was elated at the sight of the tomb.
He knew that a tomb was like a treasure chest to him.
It contained countless treasures, all sorts of monsters, thousands of peculiar scenarios, and deceitful NPCs!
But, given the danger of this location, how could he cross over?
Su Ran felt scared as he looked down at the fire pool beneath the chains.
Even the chains above were glowing red due to the intense heat, making it impossible for anyone to stand on them.
It was all too clear how high the temperature of this pool of fire was, and how intense its flames were!
“Are they making a fool of me?
With this landscape, how is it even possible to cross over?”
Su Ran grumbled to himself.
He paced back and forth on this terrain, seemingly looking for some strategy to cross and reach the tantalizing tomb, to dig deep into it!
He hadn’t dug a grave in a long time, and he wasn’t sure if he still had the knack…
But thinking about the fire pool underneath, he felt frustrated.
Without invincible skills, without the ability to fly, without a green hat player’s ability to ignore the lava, all he had was his thin-frame and low-defense body.
Even if he had ten lives, he couldn’t reach the tomb in the middle of the fire pool.
Su Ran transformed his Illusion Demon robe into an Illusion Demon Stone Shield and held it tightly.
The additional 100 points of defense brought some comfort to him.
“Should I command my dark bone bear to jump down and explore?” Su Ran muttered to himself.
His split-identity bone bear had a whopping 2000 health points.
If it could run to the central tomb from the chain, then, by piggybacking on the bone bear, he could potentially reach the tomb above!
With that thought, Su Ran directed the dark bone bear to jump onto one of the thick chains.
As soon as it stepped on the chain, it immediately received a burn effect that reduced its health by 100 points per second.
Perfect, it could persist for 20 seconds!
The dark bone bear kept moving slowly forward.
The terrifying temperature of the fire pool underneath felt like it was melting its paws, making it difficult for the bear to speed up.
It also had to maintain the balance on the chain, for one misstep could send it plummeting into the hellish pool, the consequences of which were unthinkable.
Luckily, Su Ran had strong control skills.
He commanded the dark bone bear to move closer and closer to the center of the fire pool.
What he didn’t anticipate, however, was that the temperature in the center of the fire pool increased exponentially, causing the decrease in the bear’s health to double to 200 points per second.
“Damn, I didn’t factor in this part.
Getting closer to the center consumes twice as much health points as in a normal second.” Su Ran calculated the dark bone bear’s health, hoping there would be no more surprises when reaching the destination.
Fortunately, the chain wasn’t very long.
After losing more than half of its health points, the dark bone bear finally landed on the terrain in the center of the fire pool.
It circled the tomb twice and then felt embarrassed.
The question was, how could it return to its master?
Jump into the fire pool and end it, then summon another one?
No chance.
This bear had just been summoned.
If he wanted to summon his split-identity dark bone bear again, he would have to wait an hour.
Suddenly, the sounds of hurried footsteps rang out, startling Su Ran.
Someone was coming!!
Panicked, he hurriedly looked around for a place to hide, but the terrain was too open.
He couldn’t even find an elevated stone to conceal himself.
Just when Su Ran turned around, he saw that there was a small platform above the entrance.
There stood a torch that was burning fiercely.
