Chapter 205 - 205 204 Rock Monster BOSS

205: Chapter 204: Rock Monster BOSS 205: Chapter 204: Rock Monster BOSS Su Ran didn’t expect a dark curtain of light to appear out of nowhere, blocking his unprepared self from advancing.

“Damn, where did this thing come from, catching me completely off guard!

It looks like I won’t be able to pass unless I slay this Guardian Statue.

But players could turn back at any time.

If I run into them, that would be disastrous.”

Torn between his choices, Su Ran looked at the statue which was just half remaining.

He steeled himself and struck forcefully towards the statue of a bull-headed humanoid figure.

The green-cap player led these Dancing Demons Guild members onto a side path, the road there was uneven and winding.

Yet, this green-cap player’s speed didn’t reduce, but instead increased, as he climbed onto a pile of gravel more than four meters high, hiding himself.

“Catch him!

Damn, he’s as slippery as an eel!” Sharp Path kept his eyes fixed on this unwelcome visitor, afraid that he might lose sight of him.

He snarled, “Whoever catches him, I’ll treat him to a complete service for a full week!”

“Go Dao, go!”

The pursuing group of players howled instantly, and their speed increased drastically.

They ran recklessly, and one didn’t notice the protruding stone, tripping and falling flat on his face.

“Careful, what use is running blindly?”

Sharp Path glared at the fallen player, seeming disappointed in his clumsy actions.

“Dao, this guy has burrowed himself into the rubble, what do we do, follow him?”

“What do you think?

If the lad can get up there without any trouble, why are you panicking?” Sharp Path gave him a kick and continued, “We are a large group, we need to show the might of the Dancing Demons Guild!

Brothers, charge!”

The crowd got a boost of morale and started to climb toward this oddly shaped pile of stones.

The mage players on the ground began brewing their magical skills, preparing to give the green-cap player a surprise.

Suddenly.

“Hey, grandsons, take this rolling stone attack!”

The green-cap warrior suddenly sprang from the pile of rubble, wielding a giant rock, and flung it down at the players below.

“Damn it!”

As the giant rock fell down, it whipped up a strong gust of wind and crashed into everything in its path.

Players watched the enlarging rock thrown at them in horror.

Some who were quick enough in their reactions jumped off the rock while others who were slower got hit by the rock and were immediately knocked out cold.

Seeing the irritating warrior reveal himself, the mage players launched various kinds of magic attacks towards the green-cap warrior, but unfortunately, all missed and instead, they inevitably hit the rock.

“Ha-ha, you fell for it!”

The green-cap player laughed loudly at the crowd, then quickly distanced himself from the pile of rocks, as if something terrifying was about to emerge, and evaded it from afar.

“Catch him for me!”

The red-faced Sharp Path pointed to the speedy warrior player who was agile like a monkey.

So many people couldn’t catch a single warrior and were instead knocked out by him.

If this gets out, the embarrassment would be unbearable!

However, before the players could react, the pile of rocks began to tremble violently.

Suddenly, the rocks started hopping around as if they had life, scattering on the ground, revealing a pair of legs and one eye on each rock.

When the dust settled, all that was left of the towering four-meter-tall pile of rocks was a huge rock standing alone.

It shook violently, stretched out its limbs dramatically, and supported itself powerfully on the ground with rock arms.

A radiant single eye surveyed the invaders.

“Damn, Big D, we’ve been tricked!”

By now, if they still didn’t understand, they were truly idiots.

A multitude of players all looked towards Sharp Path, waiting for his command.

“What are you standing around for, run!”

Sharp Path looked embarrassed.

At this moment, he had no room to act tough.

Just one glance at the massive Rock Monster told him it was an undefeatable boss, let alone the numerous lesser monsters lurking around.

If they didn’t escape now before the fight, then when?!

Thus, the players ran like their lives depended on it, regardless of their formation, their guild’s prestige, their reputation.

All of it went out the window in favor of survival!

“Hey, if you thought escaping would be that easy, then why would I risk myself leading you all here?” The green-capped player hid at a corner, watching the chaos and laughing.

“Oh Rock Monster, it’s not me attacking you this time, don’t put the threat on me!”

Recalling his previous encounters with the Rock Monster, the green-capped player’s face grimaced slightly.

Things weren’t as simple as Sharp Path thought.

When the players started to run, the Rock Monster outpaced them and jumped up, blocking the only escape route with its rocky form.

“Big D, we’re screwed.

The smaller Rock Monsters have blocked the exit!” On seeing this, the players felt despair sink in and cried out to their leader, hoping he could come up with a good idea.

“No shit, I can see that!” At this point, Sharp Path was frantic.

He wished he could kick open the rock monsters blocking their way and escape.

But, he knew it was impossible.

This was a checkpoint within this Rebirth Gate realm, and without defeating this Boss, they couldn’t progress.

To leave this room, they’d have to engage the boss directly in battle!

Wait…

How did the green-capped player know there was something wrong with these rocks?

He had gone to great lengths to lure them here, so had he been here before?

If that was the case, how did he manage to escape?

Nonetheless, now wasn’t the time to ponder over these things.

The smaller Rock Monsters had already jumped towards them, with a menacing attack aimed at his team.

“Prepare for battle, brothers.

This will be a tough fight, and it’s time to prove ourselves!”

Sharp Path raised his arm, issuing a motivational call amidst the turmoil.

He believed that as long as they were united, a miracle could happen!

“Yes, Big D!”

A stubborn look spread across the players’ faces.

After going through the effort to access this special scenario, they’d unexpectedly been put in this unfortunate predicament where one wrong move could cost their lives.

‘Well, just means we have to go the extra mile to fill the void of lost hope!’

Whatever it is, Big D, stay strong!

The team showed impressive combat readiness as the smaller Rock Monsters attacked.

By the time they pounced, the team had already prepared with mages at the back, shielded soldiers up front.

They activated skills such as “Roar”, “Defense Aura”, and “Attack Aura” to brace themselves against the consecutive attacks of the Rock Monsters.

The green-capped player leaned against a wall, sitting down as he watched the fierce attack scene unfolding before him and sighed, discontent.

“Tch-tch, you little pebbles are pretty dull, aren’t you?

Can’t you jump past the front line and focus on the mages with weaker defenses, hmm?”

“Hey, hey, hey, and you big thug of a boss.

You were putting in all this effort to attack me earlier and now you won’t even budge an inch?

Are you standing there just to scare people, or are you incubating eggs?”

“Mr.

Big, go, go, jump over and smother all of them into pulp, hurry up, I’m ready to enjoy the show!”

It seemed like the green-capped player had said too much.

The Rock Monster Boss, who had been quietly regaining its strength, suddenly opened its eye wide, one light flashing, and looked towards him.

The green-capped player immediately shut his mouth and obediently resumed being the perfect spectator.
