Online Game: Crazy Skeleton
Chapter 196 - 196 195 Protector of the Dharma

196: Chapter 195: Protector of the Dharma 196: Chapter 195: Protector of the Dharma Rat Raksha glared at Su Ran and said, “I need to break the seal, cover me!”

With that, Rat Raksha hurled the Life-Source Spirit Stone onto the ground.

The summoning stone burst into shards and a soul-like Rat Raksha floated out.

As though drawn by a magnet, the Life-Source Phantom Spirit adhered to the skeleton, transforming into a surge of energy that poured into Rat Raksha’s spine.

All of a sudden, Rat Raksha’s spine turned dark as night.

Like a virus, it spread quickly, his entire skeleton – even the skull – turned pitch black.

His presence began to surge dramatically, as if gaining a massive amount of experience, akin to leveling up dozens of times.

As Rat Raksha’s momentum escalated, the altar, continuously radiating power, shot out formidable energy in the form of thunderbolt strikes bombing Rat Raksha’s body incessantly.

“Roar!”

Rat Raksha’s momentum kept climbing slowly, completely unaffected by the electrical strikes, seizing every bit of time to elevate his power.

“Boom!

Boom!

Boom!”

The altar seemed aggravated by this, releasing thicker bolts of lightning, constantly bombarding Rat Raksha’s shivering body.

The two reached a delicate equilibrium, causing Rat Raksha’s ascending momentum to stall.

“Bang!

Bang!”

Rat Raksha howled and the black lights rapidly circulated within his skeleton.

His arms heavily hammered the altar beneath.

For a moment, loud thuds echoed throughout the pit.

Su Ran had a grave look on his face.

He knew that if this continued, players would be lured in.

Once that happened, Rat Raksha could be caught in the middle of his transformation, rendering him defenseless and open for slaughter.

But, Su Ran didn’t want this outcome.

He changed his Illusion Demon black robe into the Illusion Demon Stone Sword and held it tightly.

Only then did he feel slightly more confident.

Su Ran’s skeletal body reappeared!

All of a sudden, he heard footsteps approaching, causing him to tense up involuntarily.

Had he indeed lured the players in?

Su Ran, with a serious face, hid himself behind the altar, covered by Rat Raksha’s massive skeletal frame.

Any incoming player would barely notice him.

He then directed his Dark Bone Bear clone to face the approaching player teams.

Su Ran shifted his view to the Dark Bone Bear.

As it moved forward, he heard the conversation of the players up front.

“What was with those players we just killed?”

“Who knows?

They were like zombies, only difference being that they did not fight back; punching bags.

It was kind of liberating!”

“Is this Rebirth Gate a zombie apocalypse-themed instance?”

“No deviation.

That female player who called herself Sister Qing said there’s a high-level boss to beat here.

She wouldn’t be lying to us, right?

We only killed three player zombies and there’s no more?”

“Didn’t you hear?

The roar came from deep ahead.

Has someone beaten us to it?!”

“This is strange.

If there’s a high-level boss here, why didn’t that female player fight for her share of the loot?

Instead, she manipulated us to kill the boss?”

“Damn.

Why didn’t you say so earlier?

What’s the point of saying this now?

We’re already down here.

Let’s check the boss first and worst comes to worst, we’ll just teleport back to the city.”

“Hey guys, if we die here, do you think we’ll end up looking like this?” One player pointed at the zombie player on the ground.

“Don’t scare us like that.

But, remember, these zombies die only when their heads are blown up.

It’s just like a post-apocalyptic setting.

If we have such a pet, it will be amazing.

As long as we protect the head, the rest of the body is invincible!”

Su Ran, who was not far off, overheard the conversation and was alarmed.

No wonder that female player, Sister Qing, was eager to lure players into the pit!

They attacked entrants into the pit.

So that’s how it is.

Players turn into zombies after dying here!

These three zombies were precisely the players Black Crow had killed!

Right now was the most crucial moment for Rat Raksha’s unsealing.

No matter what, Su Ran wouldn’t let these unfamiliar players rashly intrude on the pit.

Just as the four of them were chatting and laughing, a bone bear suddenly sprung from the corner, startling them.

But their subsequent actions had these people widening their eyes in surprise.

This bone bear, after scaring them, promptly scuttled away — its direction of escape was unbelievably the path they had come from, heading for the mouth of the deep pit!

“Block it!” A warrior suddenly drew a seemingly valuable long knife and attacked the bone bear, cursing as he did, “Damn, nearly scared the shit out of by this beast!”

Su Ran guided the bone bear to evade this hasty stroke of the warrior, briefly studying the apparel of these players, only to realize that the four who had entered the deep pit composed of two fighters, a shieldbearer, and a fire mage.

“What is the deal with this bone bear?

Why isn’t it attacking us but fleeing instead?” queried the fire mage, an individual of slender height, as he conjured and flung a fireball at the not-so-distant bone bear.

“Inexplicable happenings signal trouble!

One should really steer clear of what lies at the end of this deep pit!” A berserk warrior chimed in with a serious tone.

“Actually, I am quite curious as to what horrifying exists that could panic the small monsters to such an extent!” said the shieldbearer, curiosity piqued, wanting to pursue the fleeing bone bear.

Summoning a silent curse, Su Ran thought, “Shieldbearer, you will be the first one I eliminate for looking for trouble!”

“Damn, this bone bear is fast!

Even with my agility at seven I can’t catch up!” A berserk warrior holding a big knife expressed his surprise, struggling to chase the bone bear ahead of him.

“Could it be, a mutated monster with an explosive surrounding?”

After being chased by these four players, they finally cornered the Dark Bone Bear at the entrance of the deep pit.

“Little bear, keep running!” The shieldbearer, panting heavily, taunted the bone bear.

Excitement sparkled in his eyes as he knew that every mutated monster had the potential to drop high-grade equipment.

“Roar!”

Out of nowhere, the Dark Bone Bear initiated its signature move, the Bear Roar Wave, towards the four players.

After its roar, vibrations rumbled through the air, generating ripples mixed with streaks of blood that engulfed these players, causing a drop in their health bars.

“Damn, it resorts to group attacks, and this move is quite powerful!”

“Why does this bear startle us all the time?

It startled me!”

The warrior player used his Jump Cut skill and landed it on the towering bone bear of over two meters.

“Clang!” “-181” “-90”

“Whoa, reflected damage?!

Guys, this monster’s defense is too weak, hurry up and kill it!”

Seizing this opportunity, the shieldbearing player employed his class skill, Shield Attack!

“Bang!”

The Dark Bone Bear was directly struck on the skull by the shield, entering a dazed state.

“Haha, it’s dazed, everyone speed-up your attacks.

This bone bear should be a mutated monster.

We might get good loot from it!”

The players were visibly excited, using their skills liberally and directed all of them at the Dark Bone Bear.

However, at this moment, a blazing fireball flew swiftly from a distance and smashed into the back of the shield-bearing player.

“Ambush!”

The players turned abruptly to find a skeleton wielding a stone sword approaching from a distance, flinging another yellow paper at them.

The piece of paper instinctively split into four in the air, and each piece exploded simultaneously into a fireball encapsulated by a black flame, rushing towards the players.

Bone skill, Splash!
